Lovely 4th of July Weekend!

We had such a lovely stay over the 4th of July weekend! The location is absolutely beautiful and gave us a perfect view of fireworks all across the lake. We especially enjoyed gathering for meals on the back porch and swimming off the dock - it made for such a memorable and relaxing time. The home was spotless, and the homeowners were incredibly responsive and kind.

Amazing lakefront property

We went to this Home with a bunch of 30-somethings to celebrate July 4th. The Home accommodated 8 adults quite comfortably, everything was super clean and functional. The outdoor space was even better! The property manager was excellent..she even bakes us a chocolate cake for our stay. We would highly recommend this property!

Awesome waterfront location

Great location on main lake and close to Marina and restaurants. We rented a boat from Morningstar Marina and parked it at the boathouse dock for all four days. So great to wake up to sunrise over the water and enjoy coffee on the massive deck. No neighbors are visible on either side so privacy is excellent. Nice to have a paddle board and kayak too. Great property for dogs who love to swim in the lake. We will return every year.

50th Sorority Line Reunion

Setting is beautiful. House had a musty order especiyy downstairs. Refrigerator temperature was slow in cooking. No linen service was a drawback considering the $500+ per day.

Overpriced

Located at the main lake, this house has great view, the steep elevation can be challenge for some – 70 steps within feet. Property manager is helpful setting us up. The place can have better cleaning and some update. One of the outlet bank is very warm when lights on and that’s concerning. Overall is a decent place.

Wonderful family vacation

Our family had the best vacation at the Triton Point home. Our group consisted of my mom and dad, my brother and his girlfriend, and my husband, myself, and our 2 children (ages 5 and 7). We cooked 3 meals a day in the house. The kitchen is well stocked and we utilized the gas grill almost every day. The dock was a fun hangout place. The kids loved jumping off and swimming around. Everyone took turns fishing from the dock. We rode kayaks each day and were grateful they were provided at the house so we didn’t need to rent any. The house easily accommodated our group. My favorite part of our stay was having coffee while watching the sunrise seated at the lounging area around the fire pit. What a peaceful place! We hope to return!

Not ready to be rented- deplorable condition. VRBO doesn’t have enough room to list all the problems

The property has a lot of potential but was in a state of disrepair and general uncleanliness. The smoke detector dangled from the ceiling, not attached properly. The glass globe that encases the ceiling light fixture in the basement was missing, exposing the lightbulb. The TV remote batteries were dead. The light above the stove didn't work, the interior of the freezer in the basement was dirty and the right side of the refrigerator refuses to stay open making reaching in and pulling out a heavy dish with two hands next to impossible. Day 1: arrived to find enormous spider webs and leaf litter EVERYWHERE. 3 out of 4 boathouse deck chars were broken. After my 78yo mother sat in the only functional chair, it broke throwing her backwards. The dock itself has rotting and splintering boards with large, rusty nails protruding every step. The outdoor cushions were covered in cobwebs and spider eggs. Gross. The interior of the boat house was covered in animal feces and large cobwebs everywhere. Day 2: The bed frame broke along the rails. Les, the property manager, was professional and courteous and sent people over within 24 hrs to fix the issues. During our stay we met BJ, a maintenance worker, Robbie, the groundskeeper, JB the repair man. We stayed there for 6 days, 4 of the two days we facilitated the repairs and maintenance while on vacation. We didn't come home feeling relaxed or revived. The listing says it has 1 set of twin beds, 1 king, and 2 queens. There was no king bed.

Positive first stay on Lake Gaston

My family's first experience on Lake Gaston was a pleasure. Lake is very clean and with the large amount of homes on the lake it seemed not crowded. Our lake house was rustic at the same time clean and a good layout for gathering with the family. Only negative we had to provide our linens and towels. This was first property we had to go this.

Loving lake life!

My family, me, husband, our 7 and 5 year old girls, and my mom had a great week here! The home is situated on a quiet cove and we had a great time swimming off the dock. We also rented a pontoon and cruised all around the lake. The house is nicely appointed with 2 bedrooms upstairs, 2 downstairs, and 3 bathrooms, one with a tub. The girls loved the outdoor shower! We played lots of games and enjoyed ping pong. The property manager has excellent communication and was quick to answer questions. We look forward to coming back again!

Lakeside Views

Our family enjoyed the views and the other amenities (fire pit, lakeside deck, and canoe). The weather during our time ranged from cloudy and pleasant, to rainy and cool, to typical sunny May day. We had the space to spread out and do puzzles and read, all with wonderful views of the Lake. Also used this location as a base for exploring, including a trip to the Sylvan Bird Center. Host was exceptionally accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay again when planning a trip to Lake Gaston.

End of Summer Getaway

We had a great stay, the house is a classic lake house with everything you need. The kitchen was stocked very well and the house was clean. The homemade baked goods was a pleasant surprise and very tasty! We used the kayaks everyday and caught so many fish from the dock and kayaks, even several large mouth bass. It was too hot for a evening fire in the firepit, so we will be back again in the fall or spring. Sherry - thank you for sharing your house with us, we had a great time. It was a pleasure working with you.

Family time at the lake

We really enjoyed our time on Lake Gaston. The house was right on beautiful Lake Gaston. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, boating, and just relaxing. The house was perfect for what our family needed. It is a rustic home with a lot of charm. Although the house is a bit older, it accommodated our family perfectly. Everyone truly enjoyed this vacation!!
