A cottage by the sea, she said with glee, lets pack up, go and see.Arriving at four, through the trees - the shore, hopes had been for so much more.Beds were made with care, hot and clammy was our fare, no air conditioning up the stair.Water, what\s that smell, can we shower from the well, hold your nose and never tell.Overstayed a day, much to our dismay, threats ended our stay.

The water had manganese in it. You were told in advance can cause a smell. You stayed an extra day and failed to respond to calls from VRBO or messages from me. So a free extra night for a place that is so bad! It’s an Oceanside cottage with fans and extra fans and windows that open on the 2nd floor as well as AC on the main that cools it well! For some place you couldn’t stand you didn’t want to leave on time! Never had so many issues as with you! VRBO said to throw your belongings outside when you overstayed! I didnt Do that!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay for my birthday weekend. My parents, husband, kids and I really enjoyed our stay at the Oceanview cottage. It is a lovely home. My kids especially enjoyed it. My 14 year old daughter loved everything about the room she chose to stay in, especially the tv mounted on the wall. My 8 year old son loved it all. We loved it too. The beds were very comfortable. My Mom and I appreciate a good sunroom. The kitchen had everything we needed. My Dad and husband enjoyed the big screen tv in the living room. Perfect that it had 2 full bathrooms as well. The bottom floor one complete with a washer and dryer. It has a dining room as well. It was the perfect place for my family and I to stay.

Convenient location very close to the water and Saint George. Charming cottage well equipped for a family get away. The tap water, which I believe is likely from a well, has a very strong iron odour which may offend some when washing and showering. The hosts do provide drinking water and a dispenser with both cold and hot water options. The only other item which may bother some light sleepers is a nearby lighthouse which has a fog horn which goes off 3 to 4 times per minute and can be heard within the cottage. I would stay here again for a short family stay if was in the area in the future.

Thanks for staying with us! We love the foghorn when it’s foggy! Knowing it’s saving lives! The water has manganese and is safe to use and drink and is on a deep well. There is the water bubbler for your drinking preference with instant hot water as well as icy cold! Thank you for the review Nima
