Surrounded by towering lodgepole pines, above the base of Peak 8 in Breckenridge, Colorado, this cosy 2000 sq. ft. mountain cabin offers accommodation for 1-2 families. Simply step out the front door, walk three houses along the road to Trygves Run and ski down to the Colorado and Rocky Mountain Super Chairs and the Breckenridge Ski and Ride School at the base of Peak 8. So close it is easy to come home to take off your boots and have lunch in comfort and avoid the crowds at the restaurants on the mountain. Just 5 minutes to the historic town of Breckenridge and perfect for your next family get together or business retreat. The main entry-level floor contains the slate-floored entry, kitchen and dining areas, as well as a living area and the main floor bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen offers all the amenities needed by keen cooks, including stainless steel appliances, designer cabinets and granite bench tops. Dining includes a log-accented eating area as well as a dining table to seat all your guests. The living room has a two large sofas, a chair and a half and a comfortable ottoman.

Upstairs from the main entry-level floor is the first floor, with two bedrooms and a bathroom, making this part of the house perfect for a family with young children. A front bedroom with queen bed and its own private balcony that looks over a pine glade to the ski slopes and Peak 8 bowl. A second bedroom with two twin beds and one double bed. A shared bathroom with a recessed shower, new cabinetry and granite bench top

Downstairs from the main entry-level floor is the den, another bedroom, bathroom and a full laundry as well as access to the outdoor hot tub. The den contains a 4 x 8 foot pool table, a stone fireplace and beautiful suede designer chairs and couches, a 55” wide screen TV, surround sound, DVD player and Wii game console. The cosy downstairs bedroom contains a queen bed. The downstairs bathroom contains a shower, new cabinet and granite countertop. A full laundry contains a large washing machine and dryer. A private outdoor hot tub looks out to the surrounding pines – the perfect way to relax after a day on the slopes.


Additional rental information. We are a definite “Non-Smoking and No Pets” home. We do not rent to groups of high school and college students. The cabin has video security cameras outside each entrance. The camera footage is not surveyed during guest occupancy, and are only reviewed following guest departure if there are reported concerns.

The cabin was in an excellent location, close to the slopes. It was fully stocked with any and everything we needed. The kids loved the pool table downstairs. The different levels was nice with a house full of kids. Loved!! We will definitely be staying here again!

Fantastic cabin! Clean and well maintained. Ski-in from Trygve’s. Can technically ski down the road to Lower 4 O’Clock, but need to cross 4 o’clock road. It’s a tiny hike up to Trygve’s, if you prefer to go directly to the peak 8 base area. Great communication and very responsive host!

Our first time in Breck for the summer and this cabin did not disappoint! It had everything we needed for our week long stay and was in the perfect location to access all the Peak 8 activities. It’s literally a five minute walk down the street and you’re there! The weather, house, activities, and of course Breck were perfect as always. Our family will definitely be back, next time probably for ski time!

Great Family Ski Vacation Location

Spent the holiday with family at this great location just off the slopes (walk out/ski in). The house was very comfortable and had more amenities/supplies that any vacation rental that I have been to. It was AWESOME. We will be back!

Ski in/out Breckenridge cabin

A beautifully appointed ski in/out cabin near base of Peak 8 at Breckenridge. Great attention to details (hotel class linens, fully loaded kitchen with cappuccino maker and every imaginable appliance, Wii and board games for kids, hot tub, Bose speakers throughout the house, has fire pit and more). Great accommodations for one or two families! To top it all off, seamless contact with house owner and super easy check in/out. We loved the cabin and will book again if we travel to Breckenridge!

Cozy mountain cabin

Overall excellent experience at this cabin at the base of peak 8. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed using the hot tub and fire pit. We skied right up to the door. Ski out required a short walk up the road. Only minor suggestions would be a few extra towels for hot tub use and ability to use internet tv steaming platforms. Overall we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was perfect for our group of 10 adults and 1 child. The house was a perfect location with ski in/ski out availability. The house was cozy and had 2 living areas which made it nice for our large group. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans/appliances. There were plenty of games, wii, pool table, and hot tub. The owners provided a detailed manual and made my booking experience very easy. I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing time at the cabin!

The cabin was absolutely perfect for our family vacation to Breckenridge. Angela has created a true home away from home experience. Prior to our stay we received detailed information about the cabin that made our arrival and stay completely seamless. The location allowed us to walk to the family fun park on Peak Eight, make a short drive to mountain hikes, and hop to downtown for breakfast and shopping. While at the house we had visits from a bear, a fox, and a moose! I think my kids’ favorite memory will be making Smore‘s at the fire pit each night.

This was an Excellent stay. We have rented many places on the VRBO and this was top notch. The cabin has everything you could need on a stay. It was well located near the ski hill and beautifully decorated. I have never stayed anywhere with such detail to instructions, guides, and directions on how to, where to and what to.... They went way out of their way to make sure every possible question was answered in regards to our stay. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Trip of a Life Time!

The Cabin was perfect! It had every amenity that you could imagine. The decor was so beautiful and we loved the layout. It was so nice to have all that space for our family. Getting to the slope was no problem and it was so nice to ski right to the cabin at the end of the day. My son and I skied Imperial Ridge and loved the view from the top! The hot tub helped us to recover to ski multiple days in a row. Unrelated to the cabin: Don't ride the Quicksilver lift-ever, definitely eat at Mi Casa restaurant- it is delicious!

Amazing!

Staying at the cabin was great! There were 10 of us....4 adults and 6 teenagers. From the moment we arrived til the time we left, everything was just as described and pictured in the listing. The owner, Angela, was a delight to work with and very prompt at responding to our emails. The details you are given about The Cabin and how it’s organized is unreal! We definitely recommend staying here and would stay again in a heartbeat. The location alone can’t be beat but with the charm of the cabin, anyone who stays here will make memories to last a lifetime like we did.

We are a family of 4 based in Australia. We first visited and fell in love with Breckenridge in 1998 whilst living in the US. After we moved back to Australia we came back here for our honeymoon and have been coming back ever since. As soon as our children were old enough to make the journey, we introduced them to the wonderfulness that is Breckenridge and now they are as captured by its charms as we were. In buying this beautiful home we hope they in turn will bring their children here in the future.

Why they chose this property

Having rented this wonderfully comfortable mountain home on two previous occasions, when we found out it was for sale during our stay in 2012, we knew it was for us and feel very lucky to have been able to purchase it. The house is a perfect size for several families or extended family groups and provides a real on mountain experience, surrounded by lodgepole pines, wildlife and a view of the slopes. The location is wonderful for families with children with easy green run ski-in access and the base of Peak 8, the Super Chairs and the Breckenridge Ski School within minutes of the house.

What makes this property unique

In addition to its wonderful location, our cabin has beautifully comfortable beds and furnishings. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need and dining and living areas are inviting and comfortable for relaxing family evenings together. Sitting in the private hot tub after a great family day on the slopes and looking out onto the surrounding pine and the snowman that we just made with the children ... pure happiness!
