Perfect stay!

We always stay on scenic hwy 98 usually two blocks down in another small condo building. This was our first time in the Crystal Sands building, but this unit on the first floor with a walk out to the beach from the patio was the best!!! We had the best time to kick off our summer. Will definitely want to stay here again.

Overall very pleased with the condo. Only problem which was reported to the host was a strong musty smell upon arrival. Could be a problem with renters not realizing how humid it is when not running air conditioner properly or maybe filters/duct work needs to be checked. Took a few days for the smell to disappear. Other than that enjoyed the rental and being right at the beach was fantastic! Hope to return in the future.

Perfect location!

Very nice condo. It was well equipped and perfect for me and my husband. The second half bath was so convenient. Can’t beat the location… beautiful view and steps to the beach. Loved the beach chair service! Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance or a short drive of less then 3-5 miles. Highly recommend! And thanks to our host Donna for making sure we had everything we needed prior to our trip.

Perfect location and ease of access to beach!

The location cannot be beat and the ease of access to the beach with little kids is worth it’s weight in gold. The complex was quiet and well kept. The condo itself could have been a little cleaner when we got there though (floors and baseboards were pretty dirty) and the master bedroom mattress was very worn. The positives outweighed the negatives though!

Unit 105B.. How I love thee...We have stayed here years ago and loved it! The perfect family condos are here at Crystals Sands. Our unit was perfection. Everything we needed was ad our fingertips. But the best was having a ground unit and being just a few feet from the gorgeous white sands and emerald waters. I can't say enough. This will be our spot every year. Our contact person/owner was prompt and precise on getting all of our information. Thank you Mrs. Daniel!.

Great location and condo!

My family recently stayed at your condo for spring break. We absolutely loved the location of the condo and being right on the beach. There is something special about being able to sit on your back patio in the morning and have coffee while we watched the dolphins swim through. The condo itself had all the things that we were told it would be stocked with as well as comfortable furniture and beds. Another thing that we really liked was how safe we felt in the neighborhood. Being a ground level condo we weren’t sure booking it how we would feel about that, but once we got in and got a feel for the area we had no hesitations about being there and feeling safe and at home. Thanks for a great week!

Great Stay - Updates Look Great!

We loved our stay at this property! It's one of the nicer units with the decor, color, and updates. Anytime anyone walked past our unit they always said wow that one is amazing! I have a feeling compared to the other units in this complex it is one that was well designed. The AC was always nice and cold, the bed was perfect, and the pillow options from some hard to some that were soft gave us options. The unit was quiet, we loved being on the first floor as it was direct access to the beach boardwalk. We loved the small talk with people passing by and the beach chairs every day were a plus. It was a busy month on the beach and the only downfall was everyone is getting out to the same beach to enjoy since being couped up. If I were to come back I'd love to stay in this exact unit again!

Perfection for our family

This was our first visit to Destin, and it will definitely not be our last. We hope to stay at this condo everytime we come back to Destin, because it fit all of our needs perfectly. We preferred to be a short drive from all the high rises and boardwalk. With the walkout straight to the beach, this beyond exceeded our expectations. The decor and overall feel for the place was the epitome of beach style. The only downside was the fragile decor around condo which we were careful to put out of reach from our kids. Although with two small children, being only a few steps away from the actual beach and our lounge chairs made our lives so easy. The owner made it so simple and straightforward, and she was always quick to respond when booking or questions. There was always chairs and umbrella available on the beach. > can only hope that we return to this exact same rental everytime we visit Destin.

Beautiful oceanfront condo

This has been my favorite condo in Destin. Beautifully updated and decorated throughout. I love the open kitchen and the beautiful tiled shower. The view out the sliding glass doors is perfect. My kids enjoyed the bunk beds and being close and the outlets and their own lights. There were a couple of issues with the beds. The king mattress is way too worn out and sinks in the middle BAD. Thankfully we had our own sheets because there were two top sheets and no fitted sheet. I slept on the foot of the bed all week and my husband slept on the couch due to the bed being so worn and uncomfortable. The kids beds weren't clean and the bottom bunk had sand in it along with top sheets only as well. We heard lots of stomping. Not just normal noise. Loud wall vibrating stomping. It will keep you up all night.

Perfect Destin location on Crystal Beach

We really enjoyed this clean, freshly painted and comfortable Gulf front condo. The updated kitchen, nice new King mattress gave all the comforts of home. Being directly on the sugary white sands of Crystal Beach was such a plus that we prepared most of our meals in the updated kitchen. We didn’t want to miss a moment of sitting outside enjoying a meal on our own private patio. The outdoor table chairs and lounger were nicer than most. Loved the jack and Jill bathroom so we could each have our own space, then share the bathtub shower. There’s plenty of space in the bathroom for storage. Having washer and dryer so great. Donna the manager was a text away and answered all questions and was lovely to work with. We look forward to making plans to stay at this property again. FYI bring beach towels and kitchen towels, condiments. There’s absolutely nothing to clean up with, so stop at Publix for all supplies. There’s plenty of cooking pans, utensils, dishes. Im sure during the busy season renters leave staples. All in all this is a lovely spot of paradise.

Clean, Conveniently Located

I have never taken the time to write a review before, but I felt it was necessary after our visit to Crystal Sands. To begin with, Donna was very prompt in returning emails and staying in touch to let me know when payments were received. When we arrived, we found the condo to be just as pictured on the website. It was very clean and the beach/flamingo theme added a touch of fun. I am an extremely picky traveler (slightly OCD in regards to cleanliness), so for me to feel that the accommodations were clean is a huge thing! The convenience of being on the first floor was a definite plus. We were able to leave the sand toys and boogie boards on the patio without ever bringing all of the extra sand into the room. With two children, it was so helpful to walk out, down a flight a steps, and immediately be on the beach in the provided chairs. In regards to the noise level mentioned by another reviewer- I would recommend bringing a fan or sound machine to help with the noise level. We had our sound machine and it helped filter out the noise (normal talking, walking, etc.) of other guests on the property. The view from the patio is amazing! I would certainly book this property again in the future with no reservations. Thank you, Donna, for sharing your lovely condo. Our family had a pleasant vacation, and many good memories were made.

Beware!

We stayed here June of ’23-It was clean & beautiful. We enjoyed it so much that we booked it again this year 6/24. Sadly, our experience was a LOT different this yr. Upon entry we were met with a gagging odor! EVERYTHING was damp, if not WET - the floors, counters, furniture, BEDDING and bath towels! We dried the towels to be able to use them after a shower! There were no sheets for the sofa bed. We got them the NEXT day but had to sleep on our beach towels the first night…There was mold/mildew around all the vents & water dripping down the grates-It was nasty. We contacted Debra several times regarding the problems but either got no response, weak excuses or total disregard. On Day 3 I sent Debra photos of the wet floor & the mold/mildew around vents & expressed my concern regarding AIR QUALITY. (my mom has COPD). Her text: "Theres a lot of humidity because of the gulf.” She clearly thought we must not know the difference between normal gulf moisture & an AC unit problem! After leaving I received a text from Debra apologizing for the ac problem & an offer of $100. After this acknowledgement that there was an actual problem-$100 is not sufficient compensation for a damp bed for 6 nights. We were unable to stay elsewhere after spending $4k for this unit. We chose this location with its close proximity to the beach for my mom (COPD). Spending more for lodging wasn’t in the budget. We are considering reporting the condition of this unit to the FL Dept of Health.
