Our Story – The History Behind Breeze Bay
We first started coming to Avon, NC in the mid‑1970s, long before it became the charming beach town it is today. Back then, Avon had only a few real estate offices and one single restaurant. It was quiet, simple, and filled with the kind of coastal magic that stays with you forever.
As fate would have it, during one of those early visits, I lost my glasses in the surf. Since the home we were renting didn’t even have a telephone, I walked to a nearby real estate office to use their phone. While I was there, I jokingly asked,
“Do you have any property for sale?”
That simple question planted a seed.
Breeze Bay wasn’t built until 1994, but that early connection to Avon stayed with us. Over the years, through a lot of hard work, constant updating, and an incredible number of sunsets over the Pamlico Sound, Breeze Bay became more than just a house — it became our family’s pride and joy.
We’ve poured our hearts into this home, and we’re thrilled to share it with guests who love the Outer Banks as much as we do.
We hope you’ll feel the same sense of peace, beauty, and connection here that we’ve felt for decades. Enjoy your time at Breeze Bay — we truly hope you love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property
Why Breeze Bay Is So Special
The Outer Banks is a truly unique place. Most visitors come for the ocean—and we love the beach too. In fact, we go almost every single day we’re here! But what many people don’t realize is that the Pamlico Sound offers an entirely different kind of beauty, freedom, and adventure.
That’s where Breeze Bay stands apart.
✨ A One‑of‑a‑Kind Soundfront Lot
Our property features 150 feet of bulkheaded waterfront, with a beautifully manicured lawn that extends right to the water’s edge. This rare setup creates a private, open, peaceful space where you can enjoy:
Hot Tub
Kayaking (2 provided)
Fishing
Crabbing
Paddleboarding
Windsurfing / Kiteboarding
Boating
Watching sunsets right from the lawn
Easy launching within seconds — not minutes
2 Outdoor Showers with concrete floors
This combination of lawn + bulkhead gives Breeze Bay something you won’t find at many soundside homes: a flat, usable, comfortable outdoor living space directly on the water.
