Creekside Chalet is your mountain retreat in the heart of West Virginia. The living room, with comfortable seating, games and puzzles, invites you to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring, while the fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals.
Your getaway includes:
-3 bedrooms
--Bedroom 1 - King
--Bedroom 2 - Queen

- Large seating area perfect for a fun game night
- Loft area perfect for a kids hangout or a great place to take in the views
- Relax with a good book in the sunroom
- Enjoy fast, reliable Frontier Fiber — perfect for streaming your favorite shows or staying connected with video calls
- Cozy woodstove to stay warm on chilly nights

- Multiple hiking trails nearby. Our favorite is Devil’s Nose!
Please note:
We have a Ring camera that faces out from the cabin and records the driveway. There are no security cameras on the interior of the property.
The mini-split system provides comfortable heating and cooling for most of the year. However, when outdoor temperatures drop below freezing, it may not be sufficient on its own. During these colder conditions, guests will need to use the wood stove to maintain a safe and comfortable indoor temperature.
If you have never used a wood stove before, we recommend avoiding bookings during the coldest months—particularly January and February—when overnight temperatures can fall below 32°F. This will help ensure a pleasant and worry-free stay.

About the host
Hosted by Tony Cappaert
live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
What makes this property unique
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
