This home was phenomenal for our large family! We experienced a few problems during our stay; a leaky ceiling and a power outage, but the host & hostess were very responsive with communication and repairs. As Californians, we were a little uncomfortable with the humidity conditions, but we loved the warmth of the water - the kids were swimming till evening rolled in. This home offered another fascinating experience that we hadn't quite expected; watching the big ships set out and come in from a nearby port. Binoculars would have been a nice accessory, and I would highly recommend them not just for identifying the ships but the many species of birds and wildlife we encountered. AND, remember to bring your kites - if you forget them, no problem; there's lots of kite stores in the vicinity. In addition to the size of the house, one of the things that attracted us to this home was the volleyball court - lots of fun for us older kids, and if your days are too busy to play volleyball, play in the evening. This court comes with flood lights and is very accommodating for evening play. We found the house very nice; large tables for the family, and the 2 dishwashers were most appreciated! Also, we've often experienced homes for large groups that had a shortage of silverware... not this house! There were plenty place settings, coffee cups, and glasses, etc. As for the (barbecue) smoker, the owner must have saw us coming; our smoker enthusiasts turned out some incredible briskets! Thanks
