The Concord: A charming 2-bed 2-bath pet friendly house in historic Saint James
The Concord Stay is perfect for a romantic getaway or a cozy stop on a long drive. It holds a special place in our hearts, as it is part of our family’s original homestead. We wanted to breathe new life into this space, sharing its rich history and welcoming charm with friends, family, and guests alike.
As you approach, the long driveway provides ample space for multiple vehicles, and you’ll enter through the side door, where a keypad offers easy access. Step inside and feel at home—kick off your shoes and hang your jacket on the golden hooks by the door. You’ll be greeted by a spacious open floor plan, rich with warm, moody tones that make it the perfect retreat.
The living room features a 55-inch smart TV, a full-size pull-out sofa, and two dark blue sitting chairs that invite relaxation. The coffee table even doubles as a work area, if inspiration strikes. The fully equipped kitchen offers a generous cooking space with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and coffee maker. You’ll also find a mini bar stocked with everything you need to mix your favorite drinks, along with a 24-inch wine and beverage fridge, filled with local, award-winning wines and spirits—available on the honor system.
On the opposite side of the room, a long bar with barstools provides a great spot to gather, looking out through double windows. Behind this area, the laundry room is tucked away, with a vintage touch from the glass door knobs. Above the washer and dryer, a deep blue cabinet houses laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and extra bedding for the pull-out sofa.
To the right, the master bedroom and bathroom offer a serene retreat, stocked with everything you’ll need—from TP to shampoo, body wash, and more. The king-sized bed, ceiling fan, and wall sconces create a cozy atmosphere for reading or cuddling. As you step out of the bedroom and down a small hallway, another full bathroom awaits, with the same thoughtful amenities. The second bedroom, at the end of the hall, also features a king-sized bed, ceiling fan, and lamps on each nightstand. Soft blankets are draped over the couch and beds, adding to the comfort, while large cozy area rugs warm up the space.
For entertainment, there are playing cards and games tucked away in the coffee table. Step outside to find the custom-made fire pit, surrounded by four chairs—perfect for enjoying a peaceful evening together, watching the sunset over the Saint James Winery vineyards. We’re so excited to share this special place with you, where memories can be made in a space full of history and warmth.

Beautiful place to stay. Very clean and welcoming. We just moved to St James and we will recommend staying there to our friends and family if we dont have the room at our place.
The house was perfect ! So comfy and very stylish. Had all the amenities you need. The hosts were very responsive when I needed to chat. Having the cows near by made the vacation a 10
Absolutely Amazing! Enjoyed every bit of our stay & was so nice to relax after a long day in such a cozy place with plenty of space vs a hotel setting.
The whole place was beautiful. Outside the metal building might make someone wonder, but once inside it's lovely. Every item has been carefully chosen for beauty and comfort. We would stay here again.
Great central location when visitings the parks and St James. Very nice modern little home with great amenities. It sits right on a farm and close to the highway but it worked well for us.
We had a family gathering and it was such a great place! It was just what we needed! Our only complaint was the close proximity to the interstate- most of us live in the country so it sounded pretty loud!! We did end up getting use to it mostly lol It was a little shocking when we pulled up how close the other house is. The pictures make it seem like it’s a little place all by itself!!!We will definitely stay again! So beautiful!

Thank you! The other little place was a shop on the original Farmstead that we turned into a modern moody place for guests to stay. We often have large families that rent both of them at the same time so it’s very convenient for them. The interstate does take some time to get used to. We live right there as well. I appreciate the kind words and you’re welcome to come back anytime.
We needed a spot close to Rolla that wasn’t a hotel and this place was great. Only problem was I wished we were there longer. Hope to use it again when traveling to MO S&T!
I could go on for days about how fantastic our stay was. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! They thought of everything. Will never stay anywhere else. I have family in St. James, Rolla and Ownesville anrea. This put me in the perfect location for visiting my family, exploring Merrimack, Steelville and antiquing in Cuba.
VERY cute place!! Enough space for us parents to sprawl away from kiddos for a bit. Perfectly located & in the country but close enough to freeway access. We had a nice fire with the adorable firepit. Great sized kitchen, very open concept. We did cook & do laundry too while there. The ONLY thing the unit doesnt have is TV's in the bedrooms & I personally was quite grateful for that (so if you have to be "plugged in", bring a laptop for bedtime). I LOVED NOT HAVING ONE IN THE BEDROOM!!The host was great. We had a last minute request from our birthday boy to stay another night last minute & we're so grateful the host allowed us to stay. The unit has literally everything you need (we did bring all our own pillows, toiletries, food & drinks) and they do have a neat mini fridge with drinks you can buy in a pinch. Overall we'd definitely come back & are already planning a trip back down in the fall! Thanks for letting us borrow your beautiful home!!
