The Neighborhood:
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!

Beautiful home in excellent location. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Host was extremly responsive and helpful. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you.
Location is amazing. There are so many things in walking distance and the street car is a block up. Parking was available in the back so our cars were secure. I will definitely be booking again. The stay was amazing.
Rebecca, our host, was helpful with local activities, restaurants, etc. and was quick to respond if we had any questions. Our apartment was quiet, clean and comfortable, The location was quiet and convenient since just a short walk to trolly. We never had to use our car to get to any of the destinations we wanted to explore...which was Garden District and French Quarter.

Thank you so much! Y'all were fantastic, welcome back anytime!
House was located in a convenient Mid-city location. Beds were comfortable and everything we needed was right there. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend for a small group!
We had a wonderful time staying here and found the plce to be lovely and comortable as pictured. Host Rebeca was easy to communicate with and provided helpful information. We had everything we needed and appreciated the extra touches for us as guests. It was very nice having a large grocery store just a 5 minute walk away. The streetcar to get downtown is just a short walk away too. I would definitely stay again.

Thank you Rachel! We love the area too. Y'all were great guests ,welcome back anytime!
We stayed with 3 people for 3 days. The home is lovely and fun. I am a walker and was able to walk around mid-down to the river, it was beautiful. The area is so close to everything! I felt safe with two daughters. Great parking options.
Very comfortable property in a great location jut minute’s away from the grocery store which came in handy shopping for Thanksgiving meal. Great commutation from property manager. The bottle of wine and personal, hand written note on check in were nice touches.
Loved our stay! Great location, has safe and secure on and off-street parking, only one block to streetcar, great food and amenities very close by, and the property owner is awesome. Had easily the best breakfast of my life at Biscuits and Buns on Banks which is in the general area. Very, very highly recommended-I could punch a meal ticket there. As for dinner, you can go to Mandina's which is only 5 blocks away and within walking distance if you're so inclined. Beds and furniture are very comfortable and we found the area to be very safe. Unfortunately, you will have to walk up 5-6 steps to get into the front door, which is a piece of cake unless someone in your party requires handicap access. Highly recommended!
The host responded quickly to my questions when I had them. The house itself was adorable; good-sized kitchen and bedrooms. It has the building quirks you want from an older house, but everything is updated and comfortable. The location was perfect! We bought a Jazzy Pass and took the streetcars nearly everywhere that wasn't already in walking distance- but there was a lot within walking distance! There are multiple streetcar stops within a 10-minute walk, so everything was super accessible. It's a quiet location but next door to a CVS and grocery store, so anything we needed during our trip was right there, and there's private parking available. Also, pet friendly! This was an awesome place that I would highly recommend.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The host was welcoming and the location was very nice and felt safe. Close by to everywhere we were visiting during our stay. Place looked extremely clean however, we awoke with bug bites during our stay consistent with bed bug bites. The host said they were mosquito bites and mentioned that the cleaning lady didn’t see any bed bugs, but we weren’t comfortable taking that risk. We ended up buying cleaning supplies and washing all of our clothes and bags to be safe. This has been a stressful experience and I think the home needs to be professionally examined to be 100% sure it’s safe for other visitors.

Hi Breeanna, I'm so sorry your stay was not comfortable. We have since had the place professionally inspected and, out of an abundance of caution, had it treated for bed bugs.

Good Mid-City Access
Let’s just say dwellings and neighborhoods in NOLA can be awkward and a little funky; this property isn’t an exception. Property was well stocked with fresh linens and toiletry supplies and was tidy and clean inside. The general structure could use some work, but again, it’s NOLA. Off street parking is a HUGE advantage to this location. Easy walk to coffee shops, grocery store, and streetcar line. The general location in Mid City is fairly safe.
We’ve been to New Orleans many times, but this was our first time staying outside the French Quarter. This aunthentic, beautifully updated, shotgun house was a perfect choice. Spacious and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Rouses supermarket is a very short walk away, as well as Marshalls for I forgotten cardigan for my daughter. City Park and great restaurants* are a few blocks’ walk and the French Quarter is a quick uber ride. Management was super responsive to a small issue we had during our stay.*we recommend Ralph’s on the Park, Commander’s Palace, and Toup’s Meatery.
