Located in the Nags Head Cove community, you are in the heart of the Outer Banks, close to the beach, the Albemarle Sound (waterway on west of island and perfect for boating and water sports), and even have access to a community pool (w/ extra fee)!

This home was built for sunset views over the Outer Banks waterway, as it stands perched on the edge of the Nags Head Cove community! Overlooking the Albemarle Sound and featuring two wide, water-facing decks, along with a semi-turret style architecture on the NW end allowing for panoramic water views, your family will enjoy amazing views from any level on the home!

Old Nags Head Cove is a wonderful OBX sound-front community with boating canals and has a central Nags Head location that is close to the beach (w/ lighted pedestrian cross-way), Jockey's Ridge Dunes (featuring a new bike path leading there), restaurants, historical sites like the Wright Brothers Memorial and Bodie Island Lighthouse, Outlet Mall Shopping, water sports, and so much more to keep entertained for your entire stay!

All of our homes in the Old Nags Head Cove Community have access to the ONHC Clubhouse which offers a Nags Head Sound-Front pool for $6 per person per day or $135 for the entire week for a group up to 6. The association also offers a club house, sound front picnic area, sound front basketball & volleyball court, a boat ramp on Albacore St ($45 per boat plus $10 key deposit), and a private sound-front beach access area.

Nice house in a good location

The place was nice, although the furniture was a bit old. Both sliding doors to the decks were very difficult to open and close. The kitchen was nice but only having 1 frying pan and few mixing bowls made it difficult to cook for a larger group that this house is meant to accommodate. But everyone was comfortable with a lot of room to spread out. The deck was great with an amazing view of the sound and the sunsets. Would definitely stay here again

The location and the views is the best. A few minutes by car and 15 minutes walk to the ocean.

The process is easy and they answered all my questions by email or phone. The only complain is the smell of humid in the house because of the carpet. wood floor or porcelain it would be much better for cleaning and renting.The furniture could be more modern but for the purpose of a beach house was fine. Beds are comfortable and there is a lot of space. Because of the virus we practically stayed at the beach jetsking and parasailing..cooking and eating at the deck. More deck furniture would have been nice as well. The view is nicer than the pictures shows specially from the second level deck. Lots of plates, glasses, silverware very organized. Pots and pans desorganized in the cabinets. I used my own pans I bought. Cooking utensils kind of old and not the ones I usually use since we like cooking, but if not it's fine. The views and the sunsets from the masteroom very relaxing. A quiet area and friendly neighborhood. don't leave any food on the kitchen counter because ants will have a feast. I used bugs spray and problem solved, a bigger trashcan with a lid would be great for the kitchen since the house is for 11 people eventjough we were only 4. Overall good experience , we didn't open any cabinet or closet due to the virus. just washed the kitchen stuff that we were using ,but please take care of the carpet. professional cleaning won't be enough as a rental place. The cove realtors really friendly and useful.Thanks.

Older home, great views, good price

overall our experience with the cottage was fantastic. There are a couple things I should point out.There are a number of items that need to be addressed in the cottage. First there is a lack of deck furniture, which is a shame because one of this cottages best assets is it's gorgeous view of the sound. I believe a couple of the chairs are just completely broken, and just left there. All the restrooms are outfitted with outdated fittings and appointments, toilet paper holders falling off the walls, commodes that are very low to the ground and clog routinely. When we arrived there were strips of flypaper hanging around the doors on the main entertainment area, we learned why throughout the week as flying insects with swarm the room if the doors were left open for even minute periods of time. The pocket doors to the closet and the second bedroom upstairs fall completely off the frame and into the room. That same bedroom has a dish television receiver, but there is no power supply for the receiver. Of course, there is no television in the master bedroom, nor the third bedroom. We were able to make use of the television in the kids bedroom by taking the DVD player from the first floor to the kids bedroom so they could watch movies. As a renter, it would be nice if the cottage was updated with modern amenities, at least newer furnishings. However, we knew what we were getting when we rented, so that was not a dissatisfier for us upon arrival. It would be nice if this cottage had deck furniture so that we could take advantage of the outdoor views. Also, functioning televisions in every bedroom would be nice. The internet performance was mediocre at best, and updated internet provider with improved performance would be fantastic. Other nice to have might include screening in a section of the second level deck, or the addition of a hot tub. A private pool would be ideal, but we enjoyed the experience of the community pool. As a suggestion, consider including the cost of the community pool in the price of the cottage.

Family Vacation

The house accommodate all of us comfortably, however, there was evidence of mice everyday. I had to clean the counter tops and other areas of mice droppings every morning. I did not see any mice though. It was evident there was a mice problem because there were traps around. I suggest the mouse infestation is taken care of before it is rented again. It made me uncomfortable knowing there were mice running around. The house really needs some TLC. The furniture in the living room is so old and uncomfortable. It needs to be replaced. The door knob on the entrance door needs to be replaced. My son fixed it twice, but it loosen again before we left. My son also replaced some of the light bulbs, even the outside entrance light. So many of the lights didn't work because the bulbs were blown. It would of been nice to have a TV in the master bedroom. The internet went out, which I called about, but it never came back on. The shower curtain in the downstairs bathroom was ripped, needs to be replaced. There was not a sink stopper. Someone left a pillow on a lounger on the upstairs deck. On a positive note, there were plenty of pots and pans, dishes, silverware. We also enjoyed the waffle maker. The beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the views.
