We loved the house and the listing was exactly as written. The hosts were very responsive to any issues. The location was great for us as our kids could bike to the beaches and downtown.
We would love to return next year!
Thanks so much!
The house itself was great for us. The basement was a little musty. It’s location is close to town, but I wish there was a direct way to walk into town without having to walk on a main road.
Beautiful home on quiet street within walking distance to Oak Bluffs. Well equipped kitchen and comfy family room. Beautiful primary suite with huge modern bathroom. Carrington was an excellent host and very responsive to anything that came up.
We stayed at this home during a visit to Martha’s Vineyard with our two young kids. While the location was great and the host, Carrington, was responsive and polite, we were disappointed with the cleanliness and condition of the interior of the property. There’s a beautifully done porch and retaining wall making the outdoor area ideal. There were several maintenance and housekeeping issues that we reported upon arrival. Carrington acknowledged them and said they would be addressed with the team, which we appreciated.Overall, the communication was great, location was great, but the home needed improvements in terms of readiness and upkeep.
What an incredible location! We were so excited to be just a short bike ride to OB for our 5th annual vineyard vacation. Carrington's house was perfect for us with spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. Our girls loved the outdoor shower, and the basement offered a fun play place. The porch out front was great for morning coffee and book reading. Carrington was very communicative and responsive, even helping us out on night one when my little one accidentally locked herself out of her bedroom. There was plenty of general house needs, like ample kitchen wares, beach towels, and beach chairs. We were incredibly happy with the accommodations, and will be back!
From the minute we booked his lovely home, Carrington was extremely communicative and helped ensure we had an informed and fun first visit on the island. His property is spacious and has enough room to accommodate groups of many different sizes and flavors. The property also has a surprisingly large back area with a functioning gas grill. The downstairs/basement also offered a fun arcade style video game setup which the kids loved as well as additional lounging and restroom options. Most importantly the property was very close to the main drag of Oak Bluff and we enjoyed our daily walks to Circuit for shopping and dining as well as to the Inkwell for our beach day. Overall had a great time and would not hesitate to stay again at Carrington’s property!
Property was overall very good with plenty of space for the family. My one issue was the condition of the toilet seats. The white paint was rubbed off of almost all the toilets, exposing the pressboard underneath. This is extremely unhygenic and my family had to buy toilet covers just to use the restroom. For the thousands of dollars we spent, I would have expected better hygiene and maintenance.Another side note - there is not a single full body mirror in the entire home. We had formal dinners planned and had to take pictures of ourselves just to get ready. Half of our family were women so you.can imagine that did not make them happy. Other than this - the home is nice, the basement is fun, the BBQ space was great, and the kitchen was well stocked. We would stay there again.

Five Stars Across the Board!!!
As a travel afficionado, I'm always both impressed by wonderful accommodations and and appreciative of excellent customer service! Our experience with this home (and the owner) was fantastic! First of all, this home has air conditioning, which can be hard to come by on MV! The location is PERFECT! It's super close (e.g., 3-5 minute drive) both to the beach and to all of the "action" on Circuit Avenue. And, since the home is on a quiet street, it's perfect for sleeping in, having a relaxing cup of coffee in a rocking chair on the front porch, or sitting on the back deck watching the kids play in the enormous backyard. The rooms are spacious and the home is well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed! The kids loved the ping-pong table and arcade machine in the basement. And, it was great to have two living areas for folks to relax. Also, the office off the master bedroom was perfect for those needing a quiet place to work, read or relax. With all that said, what put this home over the top was the customer service. The owner (Carrington) is incredibly professional and super responsive! He had wonderful and thoughtful suggestions about things to do in MV. It's clear that he is committed to excellence!! I would DEFINITELY recommend this home to friends and family. And, I would most certainly stay here again! You can't go wrong with this home. Enjoy!

WOW! Thank you so much for the kind and thorough review! I'm really glad you enjoyed the home and I was able to provide some tips that you found helpful. My team and I strive for outstanding customer service and are dedicated to ensuring our guests have an amazing experience! Please come back and visit soon :-)
Pirate’s Cove is a delightful house with plenty of room for a big family or group. It has a great location and is only a 15 minute walk to town and small beach. It has a large back deck with comfortable furniture and we had several meals there, enjoying the fresh air. In summary, it’s a great choice of a vacation rental for a trip to Martha’s Vineyard!
Outstanding time at the house. Great location and the house had everything that we needed. Gas grill and a Fire pit that we used a couple of nights. Second time there and planning on returning.
Very nice, roomy rental with wonderful features. Best things about the house are the short picturesque walk to Circuit Avenue, the number of bathrooms and the beautiful outdoor back and front yards. Enjoyed my stay at the house and would use it again. Thanks Carrington.
This Oak Bluffs home is lovely. It is well-appointed, with everything needed to enjoy your Martha's Vineyard vacation, from comfortable furniture to kitchen necessities to board games to beach chairs. The owner, Carrington, is responsive to questions, and provides great recommendations for activities and restaurants.
House was just as described, with a very cute back porch that we relaxed on. We honestly didn't spend a ton of time on the house, more out and about enjoying the island. The only odd thing we found was the bathtub on the front porch, but other than that it was a very nice house and stay. Thank you!
Our family enjoyed spending time together, and with friends, at this nice home on MV in the East Chop area. When we weren’t traveling up island or to Edgartown, we very much enjoyed the short walk to Circuit and jetty beach, as well as quick drive to Vineyard haven. The owner was receptive to us for any of our needs before and during our stay. We had a lovely time!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad that you found the house to be nice! However, we are bit surprised that you found it smaller than expected, as this home is 2500 sq ft with a full finished basement, and much larger than most 4-bed, 4-bath homes on the Vineyard. We have a 3D virtual tour and YouTube video on our Vrbo listing to help guests visualize the living arrangements. Also, we recently made the decision to limit the capacity of the home to 8 guests, so perhaps with 9 guests in your group, a 5+ bedroom home would have better suited your needs. We'd be glad to host you again!
We stayed here for a family wedding. The location was perfect, a very quiet street in September, you can walk to Oak Bluffs or an easy bike ride. The owner was easy to communicate with, he sent me a welcome text the morning of check-in (first time an owner did that) and later that first day, we wanted to play corn-hole but couldn't find the bean bags. He suggested a locked closet and they were there. Very responsive and even at check-out I had a question and he responded within minutes. The house is tastefully decorated and has everything you would need. Would stay again if I had a big group, we had 5 adults.
We rented this home for a family vacation which included 7 adults and one infant. Everyone enjoyed the stay and was comfortable in the house. Carrington (the owner) is very responsive to any needs you have prior to the trip and during. The extras included in the house were nice to have access to, like kids toys, washer/dryer, beach chairs and umbrella, kitchen tools, etc. The deck in the back was a great gathering spot for our family and we enjoyed the gas fire pit at night. I would highly recommend this property!
Beautiful home in the heart of everything MV has to offer
What a fantastic week my family and I had at Pirate's Cove!
This house is spacious, immaculately clean, and in a wonderful location with easy access to everything.
We rode bikes to the beach, into town, and enjoyed the patio, games, and relaxing front porch on this beautiful Victorian.
Carrington was a dream to work with and communicated with us every step of the way. He even had extra pillows and blankets delivered right to our door. Five-star service at its best. We will be back and we highly recommend this property!
Spacious, great location - excellent spot for a family to vacation on the Vineyard
House location is situated very close to Oak Bluffs (about a 3 min. drive) & just a short drive to Vineyard Haven. Neighborhood was quiet & situated just a short distance off of one of the island’s main roads. House is spacious & easily accommodated our large group with its 4 bedrooms & expansive basement space. The 3 full bathrooms & the other with only the standalone tub was extremely convenient for a big group & helped avoid competing for showers after long days on the beach.
The multiple dining areas, inside & out, made it a great spot to dine in & avoid having to go out for meals constantly with such a large group. Large back deck with grill for cooking out accommodated our group for multiple meals at home.
Living room space, basement & back deck provided excellent areas for relaxing & watching TV. Front porch provided a nice quiet spot to hangout & the yard provided a decent space for children to play.
The multiple AC units throughout the home are a nice convenience & given the average temperature during our stay was in the high 80’s to low 90’s, the AC was able to sufficiently keep the entire home quite comfortable.
Would suggest guests bring extra towels as they were limited, however the onsite washer & dryer allowed us to be assured of having clean towels at all times.
All in all is a great & highly recommended spot for large groups or families looking to take in all that the Vineyard has to offer in a comfortable, spacious & well located home on the island. We’ve been traveling to the Vineyard for 25 years & this was certainly one of the better homes we’ve had the opportunity to stay in.

Why they chose this property
Martha's Vineyard is truly a special place. It was love at first sight when we saw this house in August of 2014. We closed December 1st of that year and spent the following spring investing heavily in upgrades and improvements. We are grateful for the opportunity to be able to share our home with others, to make their Vineyard vacation amazingly memorable.
What makes this property unique
We love the versatility of this home. It's spacious enough for an extended family, a large group, or even two small families. Entertaining areas include the living room, dining room, patio, and full finished basement. The four full bathrooms also make it easy for everyone to get ready at the same time. It's close to everything, but still allows for a quiet escape.
