We had a great time! The loft was beautiful and clean. And our hosts were so great and friendly! We loved waking up to the horses and garden outside. Would definitely stay again.
Jen is a great hostess. It was great getting to meet all the animals! The space is cool and we enjoyed getting away while not being to far from things to do. Highly recommend!
The hosts provided more than a wonderful space to stay. They provide place to find yourself: in nature, in community, in creativity, in solitude. "What do you need now?"-- was their first priority.
Great place very clean nice to see pretty animalsPs I like how the places smells like wood :)

First off, let me just say—our host Jennifer was absolutely incredible! Super welcoming, super helpful, and full of awesome local tips. She pointed us to this gem of a coffee spot called Fluid Coffee—and wow, it did not disappoint!
Now let’s talk about the property… stunning. The views? Breathtaking. The vibe? Pure relaxation. Our room was cozy, stylish, and so comfortable we didn’t want to leave.
If you're looking for a place that blends beauty, comfort, and warm hospitality—this is it. 10/10 recommend checking it out!
Absolute perfection! So glad we decided to start our vacation a day early! Found this on VRBO complete with rescue animals, a pond, multiple acres of flowers and greenery, 2 Airstreams, and our rental loft atop the vintage Blue Barn. We spent the day at Lake Michigan, then came back to the property to relax. We had a bonfire and made s'mores to top off the evening. The following morning it was time to travel to our intended vacation in Traverse City, Michigan. The owners were outside working and tending to their animals, and they were so gracious in spending time with us and sharing many of the animal's stories of being rescued. Honestly, we would have loved to stay longer. There is so much to see on the property, and there's beauty all around. We plan to start our next trip up north in this exact spot, but will definitely stay longer than one night! Thankful for this much needed R&R.
An exceptionally welcoming host and a beautiful location. We loved our relaxing and romantic time here. Enjoy the view from the garden if you have the chance. For a unique and lovely stay, you won't be disappointed.
We had an incredible time and cannot wait for our next girls trip here! Such a unique place to stay and wonderful memories were made.

About the host
Hosted by Jen Kerr
My parents and I live on our 80 acre animal rescue farm which is also home to our vintage home decor store,Blue Moon Vintage Market, where our loft is also located. We have almost 30 rescue animals here, mostly horses and use our overnight accommodations to help us financially care for our rescue animals. Our store also serves as an event space for micro weddings, showers and workshops. Our farm is just a quick train ride away from Chicago, 5 short miles from Lake Michigan, 20 minutes from the Indiana Dunes and 20 minutes from Southwest Michigan. I love being able to offer our space for guests looking to take a break from their busy lives and enjoy our quiet surroundings. We have met so many amazing people and have so much to offer in our area
Why they chose this property
My parents purchased our farm in 2006 and I moved in temporarily 10 years ago. We constructed our building on the farm for our vintage decor store in 2020 and now it has expanded to an event space for micro weddings, showers and workshops as well as our overnight stay accommodations. We also have a 1971 vintage airstream camper on site as well as our loft.
What makes this property unique
Our 80 acre farm is home to our vintage decor store/event space and is also home to almost 30 rescue animals, mostly horses. Our guests are welcome to enjoy the farm, the pond and our wedding garden that we constructed this year as well as the bonfire area. We offer complete seclusion on our farm with the ability to go into the surrounding towns for restaurants, shopping, wineries and more!
