You get what you pay for - outdated and unsanitary.
Staying at Kamaole Sands was probably the worst choice I made for my vacation in Maui. I would pay more for a resort in a heartbeat. Everything is outdated in the condo, and the front door randomly opens at night. The screen door requires you to push all of your body weight to open. There are lots of cobwebs, a layer of visible dust on the window seal and a highly stained carpet that didn’t appear to be vaccuumed. The DVD player didn’t work, the bathrooms are really old and filthy (mold, outdated fixtures and a dirty toilet). The maintenance only cleans your room at the end of your stay and there were no beach towels as stated in the amenities. The kitchen and entire condo is highly outdated- probably styled from the 90’s. There was also a long hair in the coffee maker. The only benefit of this condo besides the low price is the washing machine and dryer.
Just a poor choice overall, lesson learned.
