Guests of Lion Den Cabin have full access to their private cabin and the lower patio area behind their unit. You’re also welcome to enjoy the forest trails, private waterfall, and play area, which are shared with the other cabin. Please be mindful and courteous to other guests—take turns on the trails, give space at the waterfall, and share the play area respectfully.
Parking & Boats:
Each cabin has dedicated parking near the front of your unit. If you bring a boat or trailer, there’s a designated space by the entrance for easy access.
Waterfall Safety & Enjoyment:
The waterfall area is beautiful but can be slippery —please enjoy it safely and keep in mind that it’s shared with the other cabin.

It’s just like when you check in at a hotel and give your ID and security deposit to the front desk, except our front desk is online! It`s super easy to complete on your phone! We use a web-based system called Happy Guest, and you’ll receive a personalized rental agreement, ID verification, and a simple security hold (which is not a security deposit) to receive your arrival instructions. It’s simple: finish these steps, and you’re all set to enjoy your stay!
Note: arrival info won’t be sent without completing these steps, and refunds aren’t possible if skipped. ID Verification -To ensure the safety and security of both guests and hosts, we require all guests to undergo verification before their stay. As part of this process, you may be asked to provide a copy of a government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, and complete a screening process. Access to the internet and check-in instructions will only be provided after successfully completing this verification.
Local Guests: If you reside locally, please contact us for permission before booking. We require communication regarding the reason for your stay in town in order to approve the booking.
Minimum Age Requirement:
The minimum age to rent the property is 25 years old. By booking, you agree to provide a valid government-issued photo ID, which will be requested after your reservation is confirmed.
Renter Responsibility:
The renter is solely responsible for their actions, as well as the actions of all family members, guests, and invitees. The total number of people on the property must not exceed the maximum occupancy indicated in the listing or reservation.
Events & Commercial Use:
Events, commercial photography, filming, that is intended for commercial use or profit, without documented permission from the host. Also parties, or large gatherings, are not allowed on the property without prior written permission.
Criminal Activity:
The use of the property for any criminal activity is strictly prohibited
Late Check-Out: Respect the check-in and check-out times specified by the host. This allows them time to clean and prepare the cabin for the next guest.
If you do not vacate by the designated check-out time, you authorize us to charge a late departure fee of up to one night`s rental. We may also remove all occupants and their personal property from the property if necessary.
Payment Authorization & Charge backs:
By booking, you authorize us to charge the credit card on file for the full rental amount at the time of booking. Additionally, you agree not to dispute charges or initiate charge back claims with your credit or debit card issuer.
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance, as we cannot accommodate exceptions to our cancellation policy under any circumstances.
Pet Policy:
1). We welcome Dogs and Cats at Walter falls.
Dogs: We welcome your pet Dog up to 35 lbs or your pet Cat, with a maximum of one pet per stay. A $25 fee applies. Dogs must be leashed or tied up at all times.
2). Restrictions: Dogs and Cats are not permitted on beds or furniture please. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets; failure to do so may result in an additional cleaning fee of $25.
3). Service Animals: Service animals are always welcome with no additional fees or restrictions, provided they are accompanied by verifiable certification.

Insects & Wildlife:
Our property is located near National Parks and lakes, and as such, you may encounter bugs, bees, wasps, and other wildlife during your stay. While we take steps to minimize this, it is important to note that the surrounding areas may not be as controlled. By booking, you acknowledge the possibility of encountering insects or wildlife and agree that no refunds will be provided for such occurrences.
Wildlife Awareness:
Walter Falls is located in a forested or mountainous area, be aware of above wildlife awareness rules regarding outdoor activities like hiking or wildlife encounters. We add this For your safety and the safety of local wildlife, please be aware that South Carolina is home to bears, snakes, and wild hogs. To minimize risks, we strongly encourage you to stay on marked trails and avoid leaving food or trash outside, as it may attract wildlife. Respect wildlife, including bears, and their habitats by following local guidelines and regulations. Wildlife Precautions:
Snakes, Bears, and Wild Hogs: Our cabin is situated in a natural habitat where you might encounter snakes, bears, or wild hogs. For your safety, please do not approach or feed any wildlife.
Food Storage:
Do not leave any food unattended outside or inside the cabin that could attract these animals. Keep all food securely stored and dispose of trash in the provided bins.
Outdoor Activities:
Walter Falls has a recreation and play area near the entrance for units A & B to use while visiting. Please respect your neighbors, enjoy meeting new friends, and have fun playing Corn Hole, Horseshoes, and other games.
Safety Around the Waterfall: For your safety, do not walk on or climb near the rocks around the waterfall for any reason. The area can be slippery and dangerous. Please stay clear of the rocks to avoid any risk of slipping or falling.
Water information:
The water in the unit is sourced from a well and is filtered for your convenience. If you prefer bottled purified water, we also provide six bottles of water for your enjoyment. Any additional water beyond this will need to be provided by the guests
Fire Safety:
Please use the grill, cooktop, and outdoor fire pit carefully. Ensure all fires are fully extinguished before leaving the property or going to bed. And please do not plug in too many plugs in a single outlet.
Smoking Policy:
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property at all times. Designated smoking areas with sand-filled cans will be provided outside the unit for your convenience.
Liability Waiver:
Neither the Property Manager nor the Owner will be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages, including those resulting from the use of trails, land, or viewing the waterfall. For your safety, do not climb near the waterfall or its edges, as it is slippery due to moss buildup and may cause falls. Please respect the natural habitat by staying out of the water and avoiding contact with the waterfall. You agree to use the property and its land at your own risk.
Property Condition Inspection:
Upon arrival, please inspect the rental unit to ensure its condition meets your expectations. If you notice any damage or unsatisfactory conditions, please report them within two hours of your arrival. After this period, the property will be considered accepted as-is.
Exterior Security Cameras:
Please be aware that the property is equipped with security cameras for safety and delivery purposes.
