Great house and location, we liked the short walks into town. Convenient to everything we wanted to do and see. The town businesses were fun to root around in and get good meals. And a couple of bourbon tours was the other draw, those were great too. All in all a great weekend, we picked a rainy weekend but it didn't dampen our spirits.

House was very clean and updated. Big fenced in backyard with a nice fire pit. Great water pressure! Perfect place for a group of 4. Within walking distance to a lot of great bars and restaurants. Close to plenty of distilleries as well. Mae sure to eat at the Rickhouse and Mammys.

The house was very clean and was a nice walking distance to town. The house was pet friendly which is a plus! I would highly recommend this property to those going to Bardstown!! The only problem I had was with the check-in procedure as the property manager didn't bring to my attention that a drivers license was still needed and I wasn't informed he didn't have it until a few hours before checking in. I was on the highway and had to take care of this while traveling. I should have been notified it was still needed earlier.

I'm thrilled you enjoyed your stay and found the house clean and conveniently located. It's great to hear your pet felt welcome too! I'm grateful for your recommendation and I'm really sorry about the mix-up with the check-in procedure. I'll make sure this doesn't happen again, as I want to make the arrival process smooth for everyone. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, and I look forward to having the chance to host you again.

The house was in a perfect location for access to downtown and local distilleries. Clean, cute, comfortable, new. It would have deserved a five star rating except for the check in process of providing a photo of a driver’s license and the owner of said license. We have rented through VRBO a lot and this was the first time we have encountered that. Having said that, we would absolutely stay in this house again. The neighbors are nice too.

Anniversary and Birthday Trip

The house was perfect for our time here. It was beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay! The location was great. We were so close to everything. The weather was perfect on our last night and we spent it out back by the fire pit. We really loved the house and we will be back.

Fantastic Home!

We had a wonderful stay in Bardstown. The home was beautiful. We had a great time as a family playing games at the large dining room table, and relaxing in the comfortable living room. The beds were amazing, so soft. Everything was perfect. The neighborhood has the friendliest people, and we enjoyed meeting them and talking with them as well.

“Wow!” That was our reaction when we opened the front door! The home was beautifully decorated! And well appointed with everything we needed. The exterior of the home was well groomed and fresh. We spent evenings chatting around the fire pit. We would definitely stay again during future visits! Thank you to John for being such fabulous host!

The backyard was very accommodating to our pet needs; fences are expensive and can be tricky with local ordinances, but a fully enclosed backyard would make a great situation a perfect one.The house and property were very clean, the kitchen very functionally stocked, bathrooms ready to go with plenty of towels/soap/shampoo etc., TVs were awesome and internet service fully provided for. We really liked how the doors locked behind you and were so easily unlocked with our code. The neighborhood was pleasant and felt very safe. I would absolutely recommend staying at this property!

A wonderful getaway next to history and fun!

We had a lovely five-night stay, two tired parents and two kids. The house was clean, stylish, and had all the necessary amenities to make us feel “at home.” Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants in historic Bardstown. The neighbors were also very friendly and welcoming! The kitchen is great, we made multiple meals together. And enough room for us ask to get away from each other, when we needed quiet time. This is a great house for a family or a group of friends to stay at. And the Bardstown area has so many activities a short drive away. There is so much more to do there than just bourbon tasting!

I NEVER leave reviews mainly because I’m lazy and have ADHD, but I can’t rave enough about John’s great communication, he’s such a great host and truly cares that you have every comfort while you stay! The house is beautiful, spacious and clean! The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is a dream! We made a full Thanksgiving meal (we brought a few things) but John was so helpful to let us know what he had and didn’t have in the kitchen! We told him we were permanently moving in! We’re planning on making this an annual event if we can! Thanks again John for a memorable early Thanksgiving holiday! We will be back for sure!!

Beautiful home and had everything we needed however when we walked in there was an odor, similar to that of a dirty mop. We purchased some Lysol spray which helped. The master bedroom light and ceiling fan didn’t work. One side of the master shower door does not slide open. Also eight brick corner pieces for the firepit were laying on top of the post and need needed cement bonding to reapply. Mentioned these items to the host.
