Beautiful property in a great location ! Can easily walk or bike to restaurants, shopping, and beach. Easy access to apartment and Wi-Fi. Great communication with host.
This is a great location, within a half mile of downtown Cape May, many restaurants and the beach. The place has been completely redone, we loved the color scheme and tiles, and layout was perfect for our infant. As stated, there is no parking spot and the unit is above a restaurant (Grana BYOB). It's a weird entrance having to walk by the kitchen, there is some trash from restaurant at times, and we could hear music for a little over an hour every night after the restaurant closed (presumably the employees cleaning up). That being said we had a great, short vacation in Cape May, enjoyed the layout and amenities and the location is very walkable.
This is a great little gem! You have to be able to use stairs and park on the street but it is worth it. There is a very useful entry area / mud room for sitting down and taking off shoes. The small eat-in kitchen is right off of the mud room and has a nice layout, big fridge and nice gas stove / oven. The rest of the rooms are cleverly distributed clockwise as you walk around past a cute kids play room and then out onto a lovely third floor deck. The two shared bathrooms, one on each floor, have big walk in showers and are nice sized including a washer dryer. The location was perfect for us to access downtown, the beach, the lighthouse, and sunsets… either walking, biking or driving. The host was very responsive and helpful and I would definitely consider staying here again if it is available.

Stay was OK.There are some safety issues you should be aware of with the property:(1) Upstairs wooden steps are very slippery and narrow (surprised code allows such shallow tread depth). Two of our party of 4 slipped and fell on the stairs.(2) Coming and going can be challenging, the walkway was blocked most of our stay with a black SUV associated with the downstairs restaurant. That, plus all of the trash that the restaurant employees toss outside, makes the walkway an obstacle course. There were also frequent employees hanging out just outside the apartment smoking, talking on their phones, etc. Sunday morning, we listened to a few hours of loud music and bass from the restaurant downstairs.(3) Parking was readily available across West Perry Street from the apartment, but it's a very busy street with high-speed traffic, so not at all kid-friendly when you are entering and exiting your vehicle. For the price we paid, we were surprised how much was "BYO" - you were expected to bring your own: sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath soap, and dishwashing detergent. Other items which were absent that we would expect in this sort of rental were: toaster, kitchen knives for chopping vegetables, small soup pot, hair dryer, dust pan. Just generally seemed like not much thought had gone into making it ready for a family rental. That being said, the renovations are nice and all of the appliances are newer and work well. Other than the restaurant downstairs, we enjoyed the location.
