Thank you for your feedback. We are very happy that you enjoyed the excellent location, the apartment, and its amenities. We are sorry that the unexpected building work above affected your stay. Unfortunately, this was something outside of our control and something we were not informed about in advance. This could happen anywhere in the city as there are multiple owners and hoteliers working on renovating buildings for tourism purposes. They can pop up from one day to the next. The most important thing is that the builders only work during the legal hours (8am - 6pm). We mention this in all our descriptions as the city is in eternal change and some disturbance has to be expected when wanting to live in the heart of the historical city centre. For any guests who wish for complete tranquility we recommend choosing a villa in the Tuscan countryside. For those who wish to live and explore Florence. we also provide ear plugs for those who are light-sleepers. For major incoveniences we give clients the option of a monetary refund, a complimentary luxury dinner at a restaurant or the possibility of moving to a different apartment (subject to availability). We are glad we could offer a gesture of compensation during your stay and I do remember that it was accepted by you and your family, and this was all settled with a thank you note from yourselves prior to Check Out.
