We rented this cabin exactly 3 years ago during Covid, and were blown away so we came back. Still an amazing value with a million dollar view. Fresh paint and a brand new deck were a nice surprise.
Central location makes activities easy, yet the cabin is VERY private and peaceful. Can’t go wrong with this one.
Overall the house was nice. The views were spectacular. However, the road getting up the mountain was rough. We told our guests to rent SUVs. I wish there had been an electronic lock for the door. We contacted the property mgr and was given the location of the key. Also, there weren’t photos of the additional bedrooms or bathrooms. They were a bit disappointing. They both have a queen bed and set on bunk beds. Also, their en suite bathrooms were super dated. Having said that, we booked at an amazingly low rate so it was worth it 🙂.

Thank you so much for review. We updated en-suite to walk-in shower. We also had the road re-graveled. We appreciate your feedback .
We booked this property on fairly short notice to try and put together a quick family vacation this summer due to the COVID issues dragging on. I consider myself lucky to have scored this property as several others we tried to booked got away from us, and this one kept coming up. The view from the back porch is amazing, and the home itself is huge. The pictures are accurate, when we arrived the tables were set just like they are in the pics. The home is set up perfectly with everything you need to settle in and enjoy the area. There are restaurants and grocery stores nearby, and the home is centrally located to many activities like waterfall hikes or rafting on the Nantahala. We will definitely be planning on renting this one again, maybe in the fall for the leaves changing colors. As others mentioned, the road up is one lane gravel and a little intense if you aren't used to that. Overall a 5-star rental for sure.

Thank you so much!! A pleasure hosting you!! Safe travels home and keep us in mind in the future!
We stayed at this cabin for 10 nights. When you enter this home you are just in awe of the A frame windows and view. Brand new deck where I enjoyed coffee every morning, and they have a keurig or normal coffee pot option :-). The kids loved having their own rooms and bathrooms plus being in the loft was super exciting for them. The upstairs bedrooms do not have tvs (ours are just on their phones anyways) but the master bedroom and living room do. Kitchen is nice and had all cook wear that we needed. The only tiny thing was the water pressure in the kitchen wasnt good, which was probably just a faucet thing (easy fix) and there is a nice breakast table and a 6 person dinner table which was great for our family but the chairs were a bit dirty. Road up to the cabin is a little steep in some parts and bumpy but our van made it up with no problem plus we always saw deer in the afternoons. If you forgot anything on vacation or need anything there is a walmart and a brand new Ingles that just opened up down the road. I definitly recommend especially if you want an authentic cabin in the Smokey Mountains. We would stay here again :-)
Overall, we were just amazed at this beautiful property. Very spacious and well appointed. We would have given a hands-down 5 stars had it not been for initial mechanical and electrical issues. Lamp bulbs burned out, lamps not working at all, no electricity in master bedroom for our first night - outlets, lamps, ceiling fan and tv had no power. We were also disappointed the sliding glass door from the master bedroom to the gorgeous balcony was broken and could not be used for our stay. We notified the property manager immediately and received a timely response. Although that didn’t correct any issues. We made a trip down the mountain and in to town to buy light bulbs and batteries for the tv remote since they were dead. We are so very thankful the property owner was nearby to respond timely and solved as much as he could on the spot. The following day he arrived in the morning to correct as many remaining issues as possible. He was so easy to work with and dedicated himself to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. We can’t thank him enough. Once most of the issues were corrected by the owner this became a fantastic stay for the week. We would definitely come back to enjoy this wonderful mountain home. It is too bad the house wasn’t quality-checked prior to making it available for occupancy.
The cabin was great, the only thing was we didn’t have enough towels. But it worked out. And I don’t remember getting any instructions on what do with trash and laundry. I hope it was ok with what we did. Thanks again and I hope that you found us to be great people h that you would rent to again.
This property was amazing. The pictures do not do it justice!! My favorite part was watching the sunrise in the backdrop of the mountains.
The property owner was qick to respond to any questions and made sure everything was ready for our visit. I would highly recommend coming here!!
We Loved our stay at this gorgeous cabin with it's gorgeous view! The property manager and owner were very helpful, the location was excellent for our Smokey Mountain trip!
Can't wait to come again!
The property looked as if it had not been rented in months. There was trash in the yard and all around the front porch was trash and cigarette butts. Inside the place was filthy, there was dried up blood in the fridge and dead bugs on some of the beds and all over the floor in every room and all the bathrooms. The living room floor was covered with ash from the fire place. When I called the owner she said the place had been cleaned and was ready to go. So when we checked in and told her that it was dirty she said she would send someone out to clean it. We went into town and came back hours later( about 2 hours after the listed check in time) and no one had been out to clean. So I called the owner and she agreed to give me a full refund but she only gave me back a partial amount. So she not only ruined our vacation but stole money from us as well.
Wonderful setting, comfortable stay and great hospitality.
View of pond and mountain each morning was a delight. Cottage was full of comfort - from beds to sofa and chairs. Kari had so many special touches for us: K-cups, snacks, even a toothbrush and toothpaste which came in handy when our grandson stayed a few nights with us. Air hockey was a huge hit with him as was roasting marshmallows and the hot chocolate k-cups.
Easy access up driveway, and into town. If you arrive at night, just slow down for the sharp right turn into driveway. The pond is right there by driveway, but not easy to see at night.
We expect to be stay here again in the future and enjoy it all over again.

good but could be a whole lot better
This cabin is beautiful but not easy to get to.
The property needs a lot of TLC.
The Cabin needs a deep cleaning and repairs.
the water pressure is lousy.
they have a big bug problem dead and alive.
the wrap around porch needs to be replaced
This home is absolutely stunning!! The views from the living room make you not want to leave . We had 7 people in our group and a baby and we all had plenty of room to spread out. I enjoy cooking and took full advantage of the large kitchen. The drive up was easy and was centrally located to the things we wanted to do. I would highly recommend this cabin! Also, the owners were great at answering our questions in a timely manner

Awesome Cabin
The cabin was great. Better than we expected. We have rented many cabins over the years and this one ranks as one of the best. This was my first experience renting a vacation property from Vrbo and was someone disappointed. Vrbo left us hanging in regard to what I consider vital and important information and status of the upcoming rental. We were unable to get specific info leading up to the rental date. Did get plenty of computer generated emails but communication with Vrbo representatives was cumbersome and sparse. Made several attempts as the rental period approached to get info for entering the rental property. Received one email stating that in entry instruction would be emailed on the day of the rental period. Never received that info. We drove hundreds of miles not knowing how to get into the property, often stopping to check the mobile app for awaited instructions, which never came. We were very fortunate to find the cleaning service still there when we arrived. They provided the keys to the property. The anxiety we experienced could easily have been avoided. There were no rental instructions at the cabin such as how to operate TV, property info, or anything. But overall, the property was delightful. Vrbo service left much to be desired.

Amazing view and privacy
Great place to stay. Biggest complaint was hot tub is inoperative and obviously has been for a long time. This isn't mentioned in the property description and in fact it includes a photo of the hot tub. That is one of the requirements I used to decide where to stay. Very, Very disappointed with that. Fix the hot tub, treat the outdoor wood to remove the weathered look, stop filling the soap bottle in the guest bathroom with water (no soap left in it), provide check out instructions, and this would have been an amazing place to stay.
We had a wonderful stay here!
I personally loved the way it was furnished; rustic, but not your cliche cabin decor (you know, bear decor and quilts everywhere). It was very elegant; we didn't even want to move the table settings, they were so pretty! And that couch!! I cannot get over the couch; it was part of the reason I chose the cabin. The WiFi wasn't strong, but you're in the mountains!
The view from the deck (wraparound deck) was lovely!
While there aren't any photos of the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms (and baths), know that they are spacious and each includes a queen bed and a set of bunk beds.
The kitchen is well stocked, if you plan to cook.
The jetted tub in the master was a wonderful way to relax after a long drive to get there.
We did not receive the level of communication from the host here as we did for the condo we rented in Gulf Shores for the first part of our vacation, but I imagine the condos have more turnaround than cabins well outside of the Smokies. We were not given any check-out instructions, so we kinda had to wing it. :)
The road getting to the cabin is not the greatest; there are lots of ruts. But our minivan made it just fine.
Overall, this was a wonderful "home away from home" to return to after a long day of hiking and waterfall chasing.
I can see myself wanting to rent this same cabin should I decide to come back to the area for more hiking.
Thanks!
This is a wonderful property, clean, large, comfortable beds (tempurpedic), well furnished and of course has fantastic views! While a windy narrow gravel road leads to the property, we never encountered another car (just some deer) and the best views are never easy to get to - well worth it and I personally loved the drive up the mountain. I highly recommend this property! (Do note, the hot tub is not operational; but the fee was refunded.)
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property was beautiful and spacious. The views from the back porch are amazing. Will stay here again and recommend it to all!
Our stay was great and the view was spectacular, however, I would like to point out two things that are listed as amenities that do not exist.
1) The lower level "game room" does not exist or it's not available at this time (the door is locked).
2) There is no expanded cable TV service. The only option is to stream from services like Netflix or Hulu on the large screen TV at the main level (you will need to use your own account for any of the streaming services). If you want to steam from other services you will have to bring your own Apple TV or device and connect it to the TV and the Internet.
One last thing, the hot tub/jacuzzi outside the master bedroom seen on a couple of the pictures is not functioning. Per the owner, there is some kind of city/county ordinance for short-term rental properties that prohibit its use.
