Tamara was an excellent guest with her friends. They left the house in great shape and even started some towels in the washer. Such a big help. I would welcome her and her friends back any time.

Andrea, thank you so much for your review that highlights what you loved about Sunset Farm. I am honored to have hosted you for your Birthday celebration! I hope you return with your girls soon!
Sunset farms was the perfect place for a long weekend with some friends. The place is very nice, equipped with most everything you need and nice, additional touches - like post cards/stamps, record player with good vinyl selection and a stocked coffee bar. Did not use pool (January) but it looks beautiful. Near lots of wineries, close to coffee shop and grocery store. Landscape beautiful- great view of sky at night.

About the host

I am an environmental scientist turned fiber artist. I'm originally from CT, have lived/worked in Norway; & travel when I can. My business tag line is: "Inspired by Nature, Made by Hand". Come see why!
C'ville has so much natural beauty it is a university town with great food, great art, and has become a booming winery, brewery, and distillery area... not to mention the local hiking and history. Crozet was a sleepy farm town, now, it is growing but still has a small farm-town flavor. These Blue Ridge Mountains outside my door fill me with delight and I love sharing this place with my guests.
Why they chose this property
Dawn arrives with a chorus of birds and sitting on the front porch with my coffee, I watch the sun rise over the eastern hills. It is most dramatic when the sun clears the horizon and the orange light strikes the Blue Ridge to the west. Sunset is another spectacular light show, by the pool. I live on a piece of land carved off a larger farm, which remains. My nearly 10 acres is mostly hay, plus an acre of orchard & an acre for the house & studio. I can see for miles up the valleys to the Blue Ridge.
What makes this property unique
I've lived in the area for 45 years. I had always wanted a place where I could fully see the mountains and had looked for over 2 years before I found this little piece of heaven. I fully renovated the houses in 2014/15 and created a home that is an airy, spacious, & comfortable home.
I am a natural dyer, felter, and eco-printer creating handmade garments and accessories for (mostly) women. After years of working with my mind, I have loved this shift to working with my hands - both in the studio and in my gardens. I grow plants I use in my craft. If you are curious, I'm happy to show folks around the studio.
