A great property with gorgeous views of the city and ocean. There is plenty to keep you entertained while you stay and a very cosy place to stay. Such a short stroll into the heart of the city, it is so very handy. Communication with hosts is excellent and questions answered promptly.

Excellent stay

Gorgeous home! Perfect location to explore Napier. The house had plenty of character yet with modern touch. A real homely feel. I was worried that being an old house it would get cold yet the heating system provided plenty of warmth. Host was great and I would stay again!

Beautiful place with Napier city and ocean view and ever present lull of waves crashing against the beach and lively birdsong in the trees. It’s idealic, really. Clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and well appointed with everything needed to settle in, cook your own meals (delivery is available), and have a great visit. I came as the first stop in a work move to New Zealand. So, it was important for me to be short walking distance from grocery, restaurants and my new workplace, if possible. This suited just right. Easy check in. Super responsive host who goes the extra mile to make sure their guests are getting on well and to respond to any need. I would just highlight that it is up/down a steep grade to the street access—your car, particularly. The walkway has great traction, so no worries there. If you have a bad knee or hip, ankle, etc — this is not an optimal place to stay.

Jill’s place is as beautiful and charming as advertised. The views, gardens and spaciousness are wonderful. Jill has added lots of features to her home to make it welcoming and attractive. The ocean and CBD are minutes away, but yet the house is quiet and private. I loved it. Beware that the climb to the house is very long and steep. It is not easy to get one’s luggage or groceries to the door.
