Great place to stay

The cottage was as described and had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. Beautiful location on the edge of the orchard and the host was great - easy to deal with and unobtrusive. Would stay there again.

Good sized Accom.. had everything we needed.Good central location to Clifton beach, havelock nth & Napier.Accom very clean..Had trouble getting the heat pump to work on heat but was only there to sleep so weren’t too worried.Good fast communication from host prior to arriving.Very happy would recommend

Super quiet getaway spot

Lovely and quiet. This cottage is exactly what’s described in the listing. We loved the peaceful location. Comfy beds and couches. Nice outdoor deck.

this place suited us just fine as we were attending a wedding in Clive. Very clean, warm and comfortable place. Well equipped with everything we needed (although some face cloths would have been good!) Couldn't lock the back door - a bit of a concern. Thank you for the lovely basket of kiwifruit.

Fabulous discovery in Clive

Many thanks for the opportunity to stay - lovely bowl of home growns on the table upon arrival. It was so cosy for our needs and handy to everytthing. Thanks for making the process so easy. We had difficulty lockibng the rear door, hence the stool was placed in that rear exit over the door. It might need a little look at. cheers jane cheers jane

Tractor noise

On Sunday morning there was a loud tractor so loud it almost shook the building from 7am, had we had young children or a baby this noise could have been very distressing

Unable to cancel / change date

Visiting region to see a concert but when this was cancelled we could not cancel the booking so tried to change to another date so we could at least get something for our money. The owner refused to reply to any of our emails so ended up paying full price. Would not recommend, this is poor hospitality.

Needs a bit of work to fix some smallish problems. Disappointing check in as owner had forgotten we were coming and had not finished cleaning the property when we arrived. However we enjoyed our stay and think that the owner has taken on a big job and doing his very best. He is a good man and we liked him and enjoyed the area.
