Stay in the heart of Rapid City in this stylish urban loft, directly across from the charms of "Art Alley." Located in a historic building, the loft features a full kitchen with everything you need for cooking, including a dishwasher for cleaning up. In the living room, enjoy a custom mural, "The Lady," painted by a local Native American artist, a table for eating or working, and a futon sofa where two additional guests can sleep. The space is set up "studio style," with a wall of lockers, reclaimed from a local school, separating the living room from the bedroom area. You'll also get a large flatscreen TV in the living room, as well as WiFi. Complimentary parking in the ramp on 6th St by Main St Square. We hope our place will help you feel at home while you're traveling in Rapid City.

This was a perfect modern loft in the heart of downtown Rapid City! It was so convenient and comfortable! We stayed for 15 days and could not have been happier. Host was very pleasant and responded quickly. The loft is equipped with everything you need and very clean. Parking in the garage or street was super easy. There are also washers and dryers in the basement level. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit!

Why they chose this property
Downtown Rapid City has so much to offer! From outdoor street festivals, to an open-air ice rink and splash park, to "Art Alley" where local street artists get free reign to explore their creativity, to the "Presidents" sculptures and local Native American art galore (don't miss Prairie Edge!), the location is ideal for travelers who want to explore on foot, right from their accommodations.
What makes this property unique
My family and I are so proud to own our historic building in downtown Rapid City. The "Swanders" building has had many lives — starting out as a grocery store, then a bakery and a department store before becoming an office building and lofts. My parents, an interior designer and engineer, have lovingly restored the lofts to their current glory, adding so many fun and unique details, including lots of local art and reclaimed materials, to give each loft its own charm. With six lofts total in the building, be sure to check in with me if you're looking to book a group of spaces for a big event!
