We are centrally located in the Beautiful Black Hills just outside of Rapid City. We have Deer, Turkey, free ranging Peacocks, Coyotes and keep your eyes open and you may see a Mountain Lion.
We are lowering our prices to $150 per night for two adults.

Home in the hills

Our experience was wonderful. The house was everything we needed. We saw deer, turkey and peacocks right outside our door. The quiet little circle where the house is made it nice to walk our dog as well.

Wonderful location

Property was picturesque, clean, nicely furnished and included some very thoughtful amenities. Owners were very friendly and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

Wonderful and perfect quiet location

Very easy to communicate! Worked amazing with our car situation when we had a late arrival and had everything situated for our family to just come and sleep that night. The location is the best for hitting any major Black Hills hike, sightsee, etc. Thanks again!

A True 'Home Away From Home' Property

My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed staying at this location outside of Rapid City. Dan and Sherry were extremely courteous and helpful with anything we needed. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We would love to go back again and stay if we are in the area again. A clean, comfortable home away from home in the Black Hills

We absolutely loved our two-week stay. The home was immaculate and very comfortable. We enjoyed a great view of the sunrise and shady afternoons on the deck, with frequent visits by woodpeckers, deer, wild turkeys, and the occasional peacock. Dan & Sherry were very hospitable, and they took great care of us. We look forward to returning.

A True Black Hills Experience

A very clean and well appointed option in the Black Hills. Great view from the back deck and the patio heater came in handy in the evening. Nice to be out in the hills where our dogs could run around and burn off some energy in the mornings and evenings. Easy check in and check out and the hosts were great to work with.

Wonderful experience!

The top notch reviews are accurate. This is a fantastic property in excellent condition and in a superb location, in the hills overlooking Rapid City but only about a 15 minute drive from town. The owners, Sherry and Dan, have thought of every amenity and created a fantastic home away from home experience. They also are happy to provide recommendations which really improved our overall stay. This is one of the top rentals we have enjoyed, anywhere.

Highly recommend this beautiful property in the hills .

The hosts Dan and Sherry are very nice. Everything very clean. Kitchen well stocked. Plenty of linens. Felt at home . Living areas & bed very comfortable. Bonus a nice deck, grill , & pool table. Truly at home in the hills

We had a great stay.. the cleanest rental weve ever been in and this is our 7 year renting through VRBO .. the owners were very welcoming and careing, the place had everything we needed and then some . I wish they were all as good as this one was . We highly recommend staying here if your ever headed to the black hills, the central location worked out perfectly and what a morning view ... The place was great , the owners were awesome what more could we say , it was our pleasure staying at the home in the hills and if were ever back out this way this is where we'll stay ...

Black Hills Getaway

This place is amazing. The pictures do not do it justice, the area is much bigger than expected. Everything very clean and comfortable. Plenty of fluffy towels, soaps, etc. The bathroom quite large with more than enough counter space. Lots of extras as folks have already said, including a sweet treat which we enjoyed immensely. Owners kind and helpful as much as needed, they actually live upstairs and are around or available by text if you have questions. Fairly centrally located in the hills for sight seeing. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to others.

Great Location with Wonderful Views

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts Dan and Sherry were wonderful. They provided excellent information on the local area and even invited us out for a campfire one night. The accommodations were clean and provided everything we needed. My son really enjoyed the pool table. The location was great, too. We had an amazing view of Rapid City, as the house is located on a hill. It also provided convenient access to Mt Rushmore, Rapid City, the Badlands, and many other local destinations. The house is also walking distance from trail heads for mountain bike or dirt bike riding which is a great plus. We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

Outstanding!! Will gladly use this rental again for the Black Hills area.

I am so glad that we used this rental for our family vacation to SD. Our host were wonderful and generous with the staple products they provided. All of the thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated with soft sheets, and plush absorbent towels. There is a full kitchen and an outdoor grill, however I was glad that there was a crock pot there for dinner to be done when we completed a very busy day seeing the sights around the area. This home is very conveniently located to all of the tourist attractions and local activities available. It is a very relaxing environment full of wild life with an outstanding view of Rapid City. We loved the pool table and used it during our stay. The owners are wonderful people and made our stay very comfortable. Thank you very much.

Absolutely fantastic! A quiet area filled with nature outside of Rapid City but still close enough that we could drive back and forth easily. We really enjoyed watching deer, turkeys, and woodpeckers from the back deck, the bed was super comfortable, and the decor was very cozy. Dan and Sherry were wonderfully accommodating and really made us feel welcomed and at home, and we're glad we got a chance to chat with them while we were there. Awesome property in the black hills.

This property is amazing. Located in the beautiful black hills of South Dakota, a short drive from Rapid city. With lots of wildlife to enjoy and great weather, our stay was fabulous. As for the Vrbo it was great. It had everything you could possibly want. It was very clean and spacious, and the king sized bed was as comfortable as ours is at home. I would definitely stay there again.

We moved here from NW Iowa in 2002. We are empty nesters with a home we love to entertain in. We like to Hike, ride 4 wheelers, ride our HD motorcycle, and just take in the hills attractions. We love to Geo Cache because you never know where that will take you but one thing about it there is usually a breath taking view involved.

Why they chose this property

We love this 2 acre property and want to share our home and let you experience what the Black Hills has to offer. We have forest service access right around the corner with a spectacular view and quiet setting with lots of wildlife to observe. On 4th of July there are plenty of fireworks to watch right here.

What makes this property unique

When the heat of the summer peaks you can plan on at least 10 degrees cooler up here compared to town and in the winter we have inversions that often we are 10 degrees warmer than town. Enough trees cover to lessen the winds that you will experience in other areas.
