We are nestled in the jungles above Samara and Nosara. Close enough to see the ocean but far enough away to escape the crowded streets and dusty roads. Our beautiful Casita offers you the chance to explore what Costa Rican jungles have to offer without even having to lace up your hiking shoes. We have frequent sightings of howler monkeys, toucans, iguanas, pizotes and more. You can experience each of these without ever leaving your hammock or infinity pool. This house is the style of a casita. It has an open floor plan with very high ceilings clad in teak milled from the property. It is very clean and comfortable with impeccable views of the jungle, wildlife and the Pacific Ocean from the wrap around balcony. 18km from Samara/Nosara (35 min drive).

You have access to our 2 acre grounds, infinity pool and surrounding mountain roads that allow for hiking and exploring the small river, local coffee farms and local rural community.
Starlink internet and Ubiquity mesh network installed! Our WiFi is strong and reliable for staying connected. Suitable for remote work.
Luxury bath products by Biosfera and Raw Botanicals offered in all the casitas.
Provided coffee comes from Finca Varela, located 10 minutes from Sal Vida Casitas in the village of Zaragoza.

10/10 hospitality from Guido and Krista! We thank you for your insight, recommendations and perspective! Casita 3 was a fabulous getaway for a week. Kitchen is adequate, as we did prepare most of our dinners there. The deck and views are fabulous. The mattress is very comfortable! Water quality and water pressure are great. Guido and Krista responded right away to an unexpected water pressure surprise. It’s close to Restaurant Teosinte, which should not be missed! Don’t forget Juan’s farm tour! It’s the perfect getaway from busy Samara, and we were able to relax, which is the goal of vacation. We LOVED Carrillo Beach, and spent quite a few days there. The only disappointment was the fact that the pool water was too cold, we couldn’t swim in it. Other than that, this is a fantastic casita and we would recommend Guido and Krista’s place without hesitation!

Die Casita entsprach vollständig unserer Erwartung aufgrund der Beschreibung und Fotos: ruhige Lage mit tollem Weitblick bis zum Meer. Da wir nur zwei Nächte hier verbrachten, haben wir den Tag allein auf unserem Balkon bzw am wunderschönen Pool genossen - umgeben vom Klang der Zikaden und Brüllaffen. Ein perfekter Platz, um die Costa-Rica Reise langsam ausklingen zu lassen.

After a great career in the film industry traveling the world for 25 years it was time to slow down and stay put for a bit. I love this little local community where true Costa Rican culture still exists, a little away from all the tourists, real farms, real culture, small village life full of warmth, laughter and hard work. That is where I want to be.

Naranjal is a little mountain village close enough to the ocean and beaches, but far enough away to still experience true Costa Rican culture.

What makes this property unique

Sal Vida Casitas is a little oasis with all of the modern amenities, but far away from everyone else. The location is super quiet, no light pollution makes for starry nights, lots of wild life, birds and monkeys. The views of the jungle and the Pacific Ocean are stunning from sunrise to sunset.
