THE LOCATION
One Ski Hill Place is the northernmost address on the Breckenridge ski mountain — the BreckConnect Gondola runs from the base of Peak 8 to Main Street in minutes. Historic Main Street restaurants, breweries, and Riverwalk Center performances are a short ride away.

GILSON CONCIERGE
Concierge menu through the Gilson guest portal: pre-arrival grocery stocking, private chefs and in-suite dining, lift tickets and rentals delivered to the resort, ski valet coordination, spa treatments, backcountry snowmobile and dog-sled tours, sleigh rides, and airport shuttles from Denver or Eagle. Ask us for the right way to plan the week and we will book the day for you.

GUEST ACCESS
Entry is via keypad with your access code provided through the Gilson guest portal before arrival. No key handoff, no front-desk line — you drive up, park in your reserved space, and go straight to the suite. The portal also carries wifi credentials, resort amenity hours, ski valet instructions, and a direct line to our on-call team. Identity verification is completed in the portal ahead of check-in.

MANAGEMENT
Gilson Property Group manages One Ski Hill Place on-site — a professional hospitality team, not an individual host. Message us through the listing messenger, or use the Gilson guest portal for concierge requests. We respond fast.

BEFORE YOU BOOK — WINTER NOTES
Primary renter must be 25 or older. Damage protection replaces the traditional security deposit, so there is no hold placed on your card. It is offered at checkout and may be declined; guests who decline accept responsibility for any damage claims. One Ski Hill Place sits at approximately 10,000 feet at the base of Peak 8. Plan for altitude adjustment — drink water, ease into the first day. 4WD or AWD strongly recommended December through April. One underground heated parking space is included. No pets. Identity verification through the Gilson guest portal is required before your keypad code is issued.

WHY THIS RESIDENCE IN WINTER
Breckenridge is a 9,600-foot ski town with 2,908 skiable acres, and One Ski Hill Place sits at the base of Peak 8 — the first lift out of bed. You ski home rather than drive. On storm days, the resort's own pool, spa, bowling, and movie theater keep the trip going without leaving the building. The BreckConnect Gondola drops you on Main Street for dinner and back. Copper Mountain and Vail are within a short drive.

WINTER EVENTS THIS SEASON
Ullr Fest in January is the town's Norse ski-god parade — floats down Main Street, community bonfire, a week of programming. Late January brings the International Snow Sculpture Championships to Riverwalk Center. December weekends carry the Christmas Market at Blue River Plaza. Riverwalk Center runs winter performance seasons through spring.

NON-ALPINE DAYS
Country Boy Mine winter tours, Stephen C. West Ice Arena, dog-sledding and snowmobile tours out of Fairplay and Silverthorne, sleigh rides at Keystone with dinner in a yurt, and Nordic skiing at the Breck Nordic Center or the Frisco Nordic Center. Ice skating on Keystone Lake is a short drive.

Summer review. This place was awesome. I am writing to let other travelers know what to expect, not to complain. The great: The AC was a life saver, a rarity in the area. The views great, the king mattress is great. The queen bunk bed is amazing. It is a solid bunk. No shaky shaky. The pull out trundle mattress is terrible and unusable (assessed from a 12 year old and 48 year old). The couch is a better bed than the trundle. Seriously that is a nice couch to sleep on, lounge on, and cozy on. 3 tv's are good, but didn't use them much. That single chair in the living room is good too. The steam shower is great if you are into that kind of thing. Pool area amazing. Theater room rental fun! Bowling fun!The area faces the ski slope. No traffic at night. No bar noise. Just quiet. The caution, The kitchen has all the basics. You need to bring everything consumable to cook. There was barely salt n pepper. There are zero condiments, sprays or oils and such. The water pressure isn't great for thick hair but that seems to be common in the area. Checking in, we didn't know where to park to go in to get the keys out of the lock box. There are no parking towing signs everywhere. We were given two different codes in two different messages. It took quick communication with them to work it out. The instruction on where to access the parking garage were not clear or how to access it like with your room key.The place is beautiful. I'll be back.

We had a mixed experience staying at this property, and there are a few important issues future guests should be aware of.The listing advertised “2 Reserved Heated Garage Spaces,” however upon arrival we were informed that only one vehicle is allowed in the garage. There were also unexpected additional charges at check-in. We were required to pay two separate deposits — one at booking and an additional deposit in order to receive the keys. These fees were not clearly disclosed upfront in the listing. When we contacted VRBO, they confirmed that all required fees should be disclosed at booking, and this situation did not align with their policy. While the deposit was eventually refunded, it created unnecessary stress and confusion at check-in.The check-in process was also impacted by a timed lockbox, so coordinating arrival time is important. The host did offer a one-hour early check-in and late check-out, which was appreciated.Inside the unit, there were a few maintenance and comfort issues:The stove was missing a knob (reported and not charged)The ice dispenser was overly aggressive and made a mess immediatelyPillows were very flat and uncomfortableOnly two bathrobes were provided for a group of 4On the positive side, the unit itself was clean, and the host did not attempt to charge us for the maintenance issue.Overall, the location is excellent, but inaccurate listing details and requirement to pay multiple deposits made this stay more stressful than expected.

Natalie, thank you for staying with us and for noting our responsiveness, the location, and the cleanliness of the unit. We’re sorry parts of the experience didn’t meet expectations. A few clarifications for future guests: • Parking: The reservation includes one reserved heated garage space, and this was communicated prior to check-in so expectations were clear before arrival. Additional parking, when available, is managed separately by the building/resort and cannot be guaranteed. • Deposits / “additional charges”: We do not add surprise fees at check-in. For contactless check-in, we require a card on file for a refundable incidentals authorization, similar to a hotel. This is not an extra fee, and it is released after checkout, assuming no damage or missing items (release timing depends on the bank). • Comfort items: We’ve already upgraded the pillows. We also provide a standard set of robes, and additional robes can be provided upon request when needed (subject to availability). • Maintenance notes: We appreciate the specifics. The missing stove knob was replaced, and the ice dispenser issue has been addressed. We appreciate the feedback and will continue tightening listing clarity and pre-arrival communication so guests can book confidently and arrive with the right expectations.
