We stayed at this location while we were in Tacoma for USATF regionals. It was close to Mt. Tahoma High School, which was a great location for what we were in town for. The property was clean and tidy, and the house was spacious.
This apartment was a great place to stay and met all of our needs as a family on a mixed trip - me working and family members sightseeing and visiting friends & family! It was a comfortable and clean space for our visit, and the hosts were very kind and quickly responsive when a couple logistical questions came up throughout the week of our stay! It was a good jumping off point for my workshop in downtown Tacoma and the family's visits all around the area! Highly recommend this location and the hosts!
I was visiting a friend in the hospital and the location of this home was within walking distance of the hospital (less than one mile). Also, lucked into a great spot for lunch, Southern Kitchen. The home was very neat and tidy.
We were in town for a conferenve at the convention center its definitely not a 10 minute walk, however it is an 8 uber, not bad. The upstairs neighbors do alot of moving around which didnt really bother me. The beds were supee comfortable. Elegant is a stretch descriptive word. This property is definitely in what I would call hood adjacent. The people on the corner and walking up and down the street barefoot was alot, but once you were inside all was well.
Quick trip to convention center. The spot was a great place to come back to at the end of a day. My daughter, sister and dad stayed here for my daughter’s gymnastics meet. Red Elm cafe is excellent and just around the corner. Didn’t get to try the other ice cream spot around the corner
House was nice. We stayed during the 4th of July weekend so with all the fireworks going off, it was really hard to fall asleep. The neighborhood wasn’t the prettiest but it is very close to downtown Tacoma.
Clean, nice 1/2 duplex home. Neighborhood seems nice enough but as a female I would not feel comfortable walking by myself. My assumption is it would not be wise to walk alone when dark.
This was our first time staying at an actual "home" away from home. It was very comfortable and roomy for us. Everything we needed, just like our own home. Now the best part was THE BED!! Maaaan!! We slept and didn't even move! Woke up feeling good! The most comfortable bed ever! I reached out to the owner and he sent me the link to this bed! Our is coming in Tuesday! We will be back yearly for this spring break trip and staying here, for sure!
The apartment was clean and cozy, and well stocked. The location is very urban and you can hear EVERYTHING from the upstairs tenant.
The beds are very firm and the pillows are minimal. If you like fluffy pillows, bring your own. Also, the couch is on its last leg; it might be time for a new one. Same for the TV. Lastly, the internet is very spotty.
Had everything we needed, parking spot, washer/dryer, comfy beds, communication was good, check in was easy. The home was clean upon entry, hosts were accommodating with the pack and play for my baby, and also has street parking and is in an excellent location. However, one of the bedroom doors didn't lock or close all the way. The gates for the backyard were a bit of a pain in the neck to open and close, and the trash bins outside were filled to capacity but they told us we could just put our trash bag on the side so really not an issue. And when we opened the dish washer to wash dishes, it had a really bad smell, but was empty and looked clean, the host was accomodating and offered to send someone to check it out while we were there but I let them know it wasn't necessary. All those things really weren't an issue for us though and really didn't ruin our stay at all. I think we would book again.

Dark and depressing
It's astonishing to me this property has such high ratings. There's nothing terribly wrong, but the apartment has small windows with little natural light, the ceiling lights are harsh and exceedingly bright, everything in the apartment is grey from the walls to the furniture. The kitchen is equipped with beaten up pots and pans. As others have stated, there's no soundproofing so you hear whenever the upstairs neighbors walk, talk, or move. Being in the house felt so depressing we tried to leave whenever we could. The neighborhood is not unsafe but not great either - not really where you would want to be on vacation.

Hi Anna,
We’re surprised you left such a terrible review especially after trying to extend your stay by a couple of days but couldn’t venue it was already booked.. Seems very contradicting on your end and definitely took us by surprise. Thank you for letting us know about the pots and pans, we’ll go into the unit next time it’s vacant and see what needs to be swapped out. We’re more than accommodating to our guests and pride ourselves on going above and beyond for them, hence the high ratings on the unit. If you would have communicated your thoughts to us on the pots and pans during your stay we would have been more than happy to drop off some new ones for you to use.
Just what we were looking for! This Tacoma property provided us with a wonderful opportunity to visit with family and friends during the holiday. It was also ideal to visit some of our favorite local spots. Everyone rested well, was very comfortable, and fully enjoyed the property. We were pleasantly surprised about all of the economic development done in the area and felt safe; as a result, it was a nice spot for our needs, and we would book again.
