It is a very small house, but it worked for the three of us. Great location for walking to bars, restaurants and some quirky shops, including the most amazing record store I have ever been in.
Really nice location if you want to be near everything on 6th street but also within quick driving distance to other places in Tacoma including UPS or Point Defiance. The updated historic house was very clean and well organized. The heat is via baseboard heaters which took quite awhile to heat up the home on the first day/evening we were there. Once warm, it stayed a great temp. The baseboard heat in the back bedroom was quite loud and could be heard through the wall to the front bedroom which was disturbing to my daughter's sleep. She also was woken up by lots of road noise on Friday night - Saturday was much quieter. You might consider bringing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Despite that though, overall, I would recommend.
This home is amazing! There is fun history behind it, everything was gorgeously remodeled, and it's the perfect distance from some of the best 6th street has to offer.
The Harvey House was in a perfect location for our visit to Tacoma. We stayed in and cooked a birthday dinner and the kitchen had most everything you need to cook a nice meal! The beds and linens were great. The bathrooms were tiny with the one shower being small, but acceptable. The vanity in the non-shower bathroom was very tiny as well. It was walking distance to coffee and other fun restaurants . Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The house was clean and historically beautiful. We found the ability to walk to coffee and breakfast in the morning a great plus. The bathtub is a treat at the end of the day during the wet weather this time of year.
The house is really charming and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. If you're looking for a good spot to check out all 6th Avenue has to offer this is the place! It's within walking distance of all the shops, bars and restaurants along 6th.
The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner, pasta carbonara, and the remodel they did is gorgeous. The feel of the place is cozy and makes you feel right at home. We love walking to the main street and shopping during the day, so many fun stores within just a few steps.
A really great little house, in a cool neighbourhood! Really quick walk to all the good restaurants & an easy drive to the freeway for Seattle. Close to the Mall. I couldn't recommend it more!
This is a charming older home. There are areas in the home that are a bit worn. I did buy candles during my stay as there was a musty odor that may be due to the house not being aired out regularly. All that being said, it was a great value and served my family well.
This small charming house had everything we needed for our 6-night stay. Very nicely furnished
and decorated. A short drive to groceries, drugstore, most restaurants, etc. If you're used to urban neighborhood settings, this will suit you well.
We loved our spacious and comfortable Harvey House. Easy parking situation, extra large kitchen and nice to have a washer and dryer. Being able to walk to 6th Avenue and a variety of restaurants and shops was a plus. We visited three restaurants and Legendary Doughnuts and never had a bad meal. Thanks for sharing your house with us.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Just a little disappointed
Could have been much better. No information about local area like restaurants and things to do, no backyard furniture to enjoy the fenced in area, Bedroom door won't close ( both of us in our 70's moving furniture isn't an option)
Located just off 6th avenue, this is a nice little home that kept us comfortable for 10 days. The beds were comfortable and house was well kept. The shower was a bit tight for adults but served the purpose. There is no shower in the master bath which I didn’t pick up on initially when reading the listing.
Parking wasn’t an issue as there is space in the alley, but cars or people sometimes block the alley which can be annoying. Owner communicates well.
I would have liked a few more amenities for a 10 night stay (limited soap, hair products, laundry, and dishwasher detergent provided) so I ended up buying that for myself.
Overall, nice home and I’d stay there again if it fit my schedule.
Greatly enjoyed the location near restaurants and coffee, loved the sunny front porch and kitchen amenities. The bathrooms are tiny with only one small shower and a claw-foot tub in the other. It was cold, and being an older home the electric heaters ran constantly. Overall a good stay.
