Welcome to Groton Long Point, the best beach community in New England! This beautifully appointed home is perfect year round for a short weekend getaway or an extended stay by the sea.
Ideally located steps from South beach, tennis courts, and all of GLP's amenities, this spacious 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home offers water views, fantastic outdoor space, and access to excellent amenities that will make this your best summer vacation ever.
For guests who like to keep busy, adults can join the Groton Long Point Yacht Club and be entertained by an array of activities including wine tastings, cocktail parties, tennis tournaments, pickleball, fireworks and beach concerts. Excellent dining and shopping are just minutes away in Historic Downtown Mystic and Noank, while proximity to Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods casinos are ideal for those craving nightlife. If you would like a little culture, stop by the Mystic Seaport or visit one of the many festivals in Mystic throughout the year including the Taste of Mystic, The Mystic Art Festival, Friday night Dancing by the River, the Christmas Stroll, Boat Parades, and many more. Prefer something a little more laid back? Take a book to the beach and just relax, bring your fishing pole to one of the piers, or take a short 25 minute kayak ride to a secluded island in Long Island Sound where you can spend a lovely sunny afternoon all by yourselves.
Families visiting with children can enroll in activities offered through the yacht club that will have them asking to come back next year-- including swimming lessons, sailing lessons, tennis lessons, sports, art, drama, and many more. When they aren't riding their bicycles between classes, they can spend sunny afternoons crabbing off one of the many Groton Long Point docks, playing "matchstick" at the beach or running around on the playground. Evening activities are equally exciting for the kids with sand castle contests, “kiddy dances”, movie nights, game nights, costume parades and ice cream socials throughout the summer. The Mystic Aquarium and Seaport are sure to entertain all year round.
For your stay you will be welcomed into one of the original Groton Long Point homes that has been completely updated for your comfort and includes everything you will need to enjoy a great vacation.
Two bedrooms have queen size beds, the third bedroom has two bunk beds and a full size bed. The fourth bedroom is on the first floor with one single bed. Outdoor deck includes gas grill and seating for Al Fresco dining.

We absolutely loved this home. The bunk room and the separate tv room was great for the children. Very short walk to the playground and the beach. Katy was a great host and was available at anytime via text. We will definitely rent this home again.

A wonderful home, beautifully appointed in white and blue beachiness. Close to beaches. We had a great time and would stay there again. One suggestion would be to enclose the outdoor shower. But not a deal breaker. Otherwise perfect!

We had a wonderful time here! The house was perfect. We came for a family vacation with my mom and two kids 7 and 3. Between the beaches, crabbing (my son was absolutely obsessed) and cozy adorable home it was a perfect mellow vacation. We can't wait to go back. My kids literally were crying leaving, they didn't want to leave at all. My only suggestion would be to put rails on the upper bunks. They were high and with no rails I wasn't comfortable with the kids sleeping on top. Otherwise it was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend. Lots of space and beautifully decorated.

Perfect Family Beach Vacation

We absolutely love this property. It was clean, fully stocked, and utilized all the space in such a functional way. Beautiful and minimal decorations will relax you as you enjoy your morning coffee or late night wine. A separate family room is tucked away from main living space. It has a large, comfy sectional and is perfect for movie night. I appreciated that main living space does not have television and is reserved for visiting, reading, and unwinding. Kitchen has eat in dining which we used for all meals, but if our party would have been bigger, we could have eaten at the dining room table that adjoins the main living room. Kitchen was well organized and fully stocked. Great use of space and I also liked how open it felt since there are not upper cabinets, just open shelving. Two full bathrooms are spacious and fully stocked with towels. Three bedrooms were perfect for our group and my daughters absolutely adored the bunk bed room and all the toys and books that were available to play with. If you are bringing young children, you do not need to pack one single toy or children’s book! Plenty of closet space and dresser drawer space to unpack clothing in all bedrooms. Lots of beach equipment in garage and washer/dryer available if necessary. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home. We enjoyed our trip so much that we are already making plans for our next one!!

The house is lovely, decorated in traditional beach cottage vibe. Property was very clean with lots of towels for the bath and beach. Nice supply of beach chairs and toys. Kitchen was extremely well supplied. Beds were comfortable.

PERFECT FOR EVERYONE!

Great house! The kids loved the bunk beds and the huge room , the 2 living areas make it perfect for the kids and adults to have enough space. Very clean and well appointed. Katy was very accommadating and even fulfilled special request for a Keurig coffee maker. The utility room with laundry and storage for all the sports and outdoor equipment was very convenient. The 2 full baths worked out great. We had 4 adults and 3 children ages 4 - 10. GLP is the perfect place, The kids can ride their bikes safely, go fishing, kayaking, swimming, sailing. The Sunday donuts are as awesome as ever. Felt COVID safe. We cooked all meals at home, and found the house fully equiped with everything you need. This location was very convenient, would definitely rent again and recommend to others.

Great multi-generation reunion vacation home!

The location of this bright, airy, beach themed home is perfect for groups with young children! Very close to the fishing dock, community playground and South Beach, we were always close to a fun activity for the kids. The house was very comfortable, easily accommodating our extended family. Katy provided a pack ‘n play, high chair, stroller, even a baby tub. We will definitely return!

This beach house was beautiful! Very well maintained, clean, nicely decorated and furnished. It was in a quiet location, just a short walk to the beach. Our son is a cadet at the Coast Guard Academy and this location was a perfect fit. Katy had everything we needed and more (loved the wine and cookies!). We are looking forward to renting this home again in the near future.

Great for a family vacation

The house was very clean and well supplied with linens, cooking materials and even toys. We hosted a barbecue with local relatives and the house worked very well with room for everyone to sit and eat and the kids to play hide and seek. The beach was an easy walk from the house.

Beautiful house in lovely community!

What a beautiful house! It was so comfortable and very cute--I loved the beachy style! The owner Katy was extremely hospitable and so helpful in planning our stay--she took such good care of us, making sure we had everything we needed and made awesome suggestions for what to do an see. I only wish we could have stayed longer!! For those of you who haven't been, Groton Long Point is a real gem of a find for families--it's perfect for kids and you will love it!

Wonderful weekend by the water!

This house was absolutely adorable and had plenty of space/amenities for a full group of us to enjoy a great weekend away! Katy was extremely accommodating, and offered great recommendations. It was not quite warm enough to hang out at the beach, but the deck/grill/front yard were a great space to hang out in, and we did walk down to a beach (~1 mile away) with amazing beach volleyball courts. It was such a wonderful weekend!

Spacious comfortable house & relaxing stay

We've stayed at several houses in Groton Long Point over the years and this one has been the most comfortable so far. The house was spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our children loved staying in the 'bunk room' and it was really nice being so close to the beach and tennis courts. Katy was very helpful in answering all of our questions and she even helped us find a babysitter so we could get out for dinner without the kids at night. We'll definitely be back!
