The Upper Room was the perfect place for our vacation. Shane and Elise are truly warm and thoughtful hosts. We enjoyed the peace and quiet along this stretch of the Fish River. The elevator lift was a big plus for my father. Also, I highly recommend renting a kayak to paddle the river. I’ve stayed in several different rentals on the Eastern Shore, and this has been my favorite. If you like Cajun/Creole food, make sure to check out the Southern Bayou Grill on Highway 32. I expect to stay here again in the near future!

This property was excellent, like a little piece of Heaven! We arrived late, and they were very accommodating. We enjoyed coffee and family time on the deck before showers overlooking the serene waterfront. Snacks and coffee/water were very appreciated! We will be back!!

This place is by far cuter than the pics on VRBO!! We met the owners and they were precious and very accommodating! The entire area is lovely! Everything was clean, the beds were super comfortable and TV, WiFi, etc instructions were simple and readily available. Definitely check this out if you are in the Fairhope area!

This is an excellent place to stay on Fish River. The Upper Room is very clean, and the host have furnished the unit with everything a guest may need. We did meet the host Shane and he was super nice. The view from the deck is super nice. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

This place was our home away from home for the last 5 days. Shane and Elise are amazing hosts, kind, and helpful. Shane taught my son how to paddle board and he had a blast. When we weren’t at the beach, we were on the river kayaking or fishing. If you are considering staying here, don’t hesitate. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Gulf Shores. 10/10 highly recommended.
