From the moment I reached the rental property (10/23/2025) to this present moment, the obligations of the host have not been met. First, when arriving at the door of the property rented by me, there were others occupying it. We (my company’s group and I) were visiting from Louisiana for business and pleasure. I called to inquire about our arrangements. The host acknowledged having others in our contracted home and insisted that we stay in an alternate home without having given us prior notice. When we entered, things seemed appropriate but minutes to hours afterwards, we were faced with unacceptable deficiencies: a broken bed, spiders and webs in the home, dirty items in the closet-a towel and a hat, and no cable to watch television or wi-fi to conduct our business as advertised. On that night, the host was made aware of the unacceptable arrangements she’d placed us in. She said she’d notify her cable provider on the next day. While we were out touring the city and surrounding areas on the next day, I received a call from the rude host, with an order for us to get out of the house because we’d complained since we’d gotten there. It wasn’t until 10:30PM that we were able to get back to the property to remove our things. Since she was basically kicking us out, I asked her about a refund and verbally she assured me that I’d get a full refund. I haven’t received any sort of refund as of yet. This is my first experience with VRBO and it’s been very frustrating.
