About this property
Lovely, Lake Front 2-Bedroom Cabin with Porch and Dock on Saturday Pond
Welcome to Loon's Lookout! Enjoy the peace and tranquility of a lovely 2-bedroom cabin on Saturday Pond surrounded by pine trees, breathtaking sunsets, and night skies filled with sparkling stars. Saturday Pond is a spring-fed, crystal clear lake that is home to loons, hawks, great blue herons, osprey, and an occasional eagle and moose. The lake is 179 acres with maximum depths of about twenty-five feet and has bass, perch, and pickerel in its waters which makes for great fishing. Saturday Pond is in the town of Otisfield, Maine. It is about thirty-five miles northwest of Portland near the Sebago Lake region.
The cabin is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with home amenities. The cabin has a common area with living, kitchen, and dining space. The cozy interior features 2 full beds and 1 twin bed, perfect for a small group of guests. Relax in the living room with 2 futons for extra sleeping space. The cabin has large windows facing the lake that provide spectacular views. With Wi-Fi and AC available, your stay will be nothing short of fantastic. The bathroom include a tub and shower.
The kitchen includes a microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator and freezer, coffee maker, dishware, drinking glasses, pots and pans, utensils, and a complete set of spices. Local farms sell fresh eggs close by!
The porch has a table, umbrella, and chairs for enjoying coffee or tea in the fresh morning air. A picnic table, just outside your door, provides a wonderful place to have a picnic or gaze at the stars at night. A gas grill is included. During the season, pick blueberries or go hiking nearby. Fish off the dock, canoe, kayak, or sunbath on those lazy days of summer as well as read a book in the hammock, have lobster dinners, barbecues, and cook marshmallows for s'mores over the fire pit overlooking the lake.
Drive along the Maine coast to visit its beaches, lighthouses, and towns. In the fall, enjoy the crisp days of autumn, fall foliage (leaf peeping!), and views of the mountains while visiting the antique shops, gift stores, local farm stands, and country fairs. Shopping is available forty-five minutes away in the Mount Washington area of North Conway, New Hampshire, or about an hour's drive to Freeport, which hosts the original LL Bean store and various designer outlets. Or visit the shops and fine restaurants in Portland's Old Port, just an hour away.
