We stayed with our family of 6 and had the best time. Perfect swimming beach, dock, fishing, etc. The house is older but extremely clean which is most important to me! Kidd Island is a great spot on the lake. 15 min to downtown.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you and your family had the best time enjoying the swimming beach, dock, and fishing. It’s great to know cleanliness was up to your standards and that Kidd Island’s location worked perfectly for you. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!
We had a great time at CdA. Spent a week at this cabin in August. Family of four, plus the kids each brought a friend. Dog friendly. Beds are comfortable. Good view from the deck. Kid Island Bay is a pretty quiet bay. The entire bay is pretty shallow with a lot of seaweed, just like all the shallow bays on CdA. There’s a community swimming area just a short walk from the cabin with no seaweed. We kept a boat at the shared dock all week with no issues. The other cabin didn’t use the dock at all the week we were there. No trailer parking but you can leave the truck and/or trailer parked at one of the many boat launches. Communication was great. Check-in and check-out were easy.

Thank you so much for your detailed and wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear your family had such a great week at the cabin and enjoyed the comfortable beds, beautiful deck views, dog-friendly accommodations, and peaceful setting on Kid Island Bay. It’s also great to hear that the shared dock worked well for your boat and that check-in, check-out, and communication were all easy and seamless.
We truly appreciate you sharing so many helpful details for future guests. It sounds like you made the most of your time at CdA, and we’re so glad to have been a part of your family’s vacation. We hope to welcome you all back again in the future!
Fingernail clippings on floor in basementDirty women’s underwear under bed in basementRails for sliding glass doors were so clogged screen and glass doors would stickBird poop on all deck chairs and cushions were stained with itOven cooked so poorly it took 25%-30% more time to cook chicken, apple pie, pizza. No oven mitts or hot pads in kitchen, had to use wash cloths from bathroomKitchen sink stained and chippedNo washcloth or sponge in kitchen had to use was cloth from bathroomNo vacuum to clean floors only a flimsy broom and dustpanWindows were covered in cobwebsPhotos on the listing are completely misleading because the unit was not that cleanI was told by the management companies for this property that I should have complained more. I complained about the cobwebs and bird poop on day one. They sent someone over to clean the deck but the offered no solution to the bird poop covered deck chairs. Then the other things started to reveal themselves. We were busy with our vacation of golfing and hiking and did not have the time to sit on the phone and complain. That would have involved complaining every day until we left. If they would have inspected the place before we entered and noticed the cleanliness issues that would have made the stay more enjoyable.
We enjoyed our stay, especially the lake views and the easy access to the water. Those were definitely the highlights of the property.Unfortunately, several issues affected our experience. There was ongoing road work and construction on nearby homes throughout our entire stay, with work beginning around 6:00 a.m. each morning. One day, jackhammering continued for most of the day, and the noise echoed across the bay. This significantly impacted the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere we had expected. There are also a few things that could be improved inside the home. The listing indicated there was a dishwasher, but there wasn't one, which was disappointing since we planned meals assuming it would be available. The kitchen did not have cloth dish towels, and there was no indoor broom, making it difficult to clean up during our stay. The shower was quite small, with only enough shelf space for a single bottle of shampoo or soap, and a bath mat would also be a helpful addition.Overall, we appreciated the opportunity to stay here. The lake access and stunning views make this a special property, and with a few updates, it would provide an even better experience for future guests.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're so glad you enjoyed the beautiful lake views and easy access to the water, those are truly some of the things that make this property so special.
We're sorry to hear that the nearby road work and neighboring construction impacted the peaceful atmosphere you were hoping for. Unfortunately, those projects are outside of our control, and we understand how unexpected construction noise can affect a vacation experience.
We also appreciate you bringing the interior items to our attention. We apologize for the confusion regarding the dishwasher. We'll review the listing to ensure all amenities are accurately represented. We also should have had dish towels, I'm so sorry for that.
Your suggestions regarding an indoor broom, a bath mat, and additional shower storage are all thoughtful and helpful, and we've shared them with the homeowner for consideration as we continually look for ways to improve the guest experience.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a quieter and even more enjoyable visit in the future.
Could not get any of the heat pumps running properly. Luckily it was summer and not to cold. The electric heat worked fine.

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear the electric heat worked well and that the timing of your stay made the issue less impactful.
We’re sorry you had trouble getting the heat pumps to operate properly. That’s certainly not the experience we want for our guests, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention so we can have the system checked and ensure everything is functioning as it should.
We appreciate you staying with us and hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future for a smoother experience.
My wife and my dogs loved this place! It was a wonderful rustic cabin that had a fridge and necessary appliances to cook. The lake was also beautiful! We will definitely be here again when we come back to Idaho in the future!
