Full kitchen, modern bath, dining and sitting area. Our home was built in 1799 on one of the original area roads, now a side road off route 114. The property boasts mature plantings, flowers and fruit trees. Close to the village square containing our Meeting Hall, old Schoolhouse, Historic Society Museum and more. It's a 6 mile drive to Route 89 with gas and grocery store in Warner, the south exit. Route 114 North, takes you to New London, NH. A lovely historic village with shops, restaurants, playhouse and Colby Sawyer College.
5 miles to Wadleigh State Park where you can enjoy beach swimming, boating, hiking, biking, playground and the camping/picnic area. Less than 10 miles to Winslow State Park located on the northwest slope of Mount Kearsarge in Wilmot, NH. Enjoy the picnic area & playground on an 1,820-foot plateau with views of the White Mountains to the north. A 1.1-mile foot trail leads from the picnic area to the summit of Mount Kearsarge. A 1.7-mile trail offers a loop possibility.
Mount Sunapee State Park is a major recreation area less than 10 miles away. Sunapee State Park Beach is an ideal spot for family and group outings. A boat launch is available with some restrictions. Boat rentals are available. With hiking trails at the Ski resort. In the winter, alpine skiing is available at Mt. Sunapee Resort. 30 minute drive to downtown Concord.
