Check-in was easy, and the host was wonderful—very responsive and quick to answer any questions. The condo itself was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, our experience with some of the permanent residents was very disappointing. During our stay, one resident yelled at our children while they were swimming in the pool, another resident stood there and videotaped our children, and we also had someone swear at them from a nearby balcony. These interactions made our family feel very uncomfortable and took away from what would have otherwise been an enjoyable vacation. This is not a reflection of the host, who was excellent, but future guests with children should be aware of our experience.

none of the dishes were properly clean when we arrived. bugs in the “clean” sheets and in ALL the cupboards where all the dishes were stored. no extra paper towels. toilet seat cover in main bathroom was missing and the seat was incredibly loose. AC unit remote had dead batteries , was unable to use central cooling system. bugs would crawl into unit. location of trash dumpster was unclear, when we needed to take all the trash out ourselves ?? and we had to remove all the dirty sheets off the beds and start dishwasher for any dishes used? inside the fridge was dirty. cluster of dead bugs in cupboards and in corner of rooms. door to the balcony was loose , had a hard time opening to access area. sheets in the pull out couch was incredibly dirty, old hair balls in sheets and presence of dead bugs. no clear instructions on how to access the pool. check out was confusing as we had paid for check out at 11am but we were being told check out was at 10 am by management

Hello Jasmine, Thank you for this feedback. This was the first time I have heard that you had issues. If I had known, I could have e addressed these issues right away. If the condo was not clean, I would have had the cleaner come out and clean up the condo. If the batteries to the AC remote was not working, I could have had someone bring you some. Did you try to turn on the AC from the unit itself? As for the checking out at 10am, again this was news to me. The manager does not get to tell you what time you need to check out. There is new management now and I am not sure who told you this. As for the garbage, yes we do ask that you take your garbage out as needed. (The garbage shoot is right across from the front door.) If you have time, it would be great to run a load of dishes through the dishwasher. And if you have time, it would be nice to have you strip the beds. It is not a requirement. It’s just something that we ask if you have time to do. Thank you again for the feedback. I wish you would have reached out to me sooner so I could address all of these issues. Jennifer

The host was very communicative with quick responses.Full size refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. King size bed and pillows were super comfy. Clean. Good size bathrooms. Maalaea Beach is about a 5 minute walk from the condo that has decent snorkeling. There were 4 beach chairs, 3 different size coolers, and a yoga mat available that we took full advantage of. Free parking, clean grounds, oceanview, pool, polite people, and clean grills. There was a community pupu get together for residents and guests that we participated in and learned about sites to see after talking with others. The pool hours are 9am-9pm which we thought was a bit early to shut the pool down. Note: the recycling is ALL separate and this is not stated anywhere. You figure this out when you bring it to the bins. The air conditioning can use a little help, but it was decent enough with the fans provided to be able to sleep. Good price, comfortable setting, with great amenities. We would stay there again.
