This newly updated sun drenched Berkshire lake house with newly built private in-ground pool, is the perfect place for a year-round vacation. The house is nestled within a small lakefront community where being on the lake is a pass-time in winter, spring, summer or fall. This house sits on a beautiful acre of land with a private dock and lake views. You have access to a membership-only beach within a short drive or 15 minute walk.

6 light-filled bedrooms can accommodate a family retreat or 3 families with lots of space for everyone. The primary bedroom has a small bedroom attached with twin beds for a family. Spend the day at the lake and then come home to a private swimming pool, pool table, two living room areas, and wood burning fireplace inside and fire pit outside. Chefs kitchen complete with anything you need to make the perfect meal. Outdoor kitchen complete with gas grill, sink, and outdoor shower. Perfect dining room with wrap-around windows to highlight the lake at every meal. 50 inch smart TV. All bedrooms and common areas have air conditioning.

Enjoy the culture of the Berkshires & Hudson - 15 min from Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum, Shakespeare & Co, PS21, McHayden Theatre, Mount Greylock, Jiminy Peak Resort, zipline parks, Bousquet & more. Lots of things to do in and around the home. House is spacious with a great kitchen and outdoor fire pit and pool. If you are planning to do anything in The Berkshires this is a great place to stay as it is a convenient location. Highly recommend.

The owners thought of everything!

This is a wonderful property that combines rustic charm with modern amenities. It is centrally located and we didn't need to travel very far to access well-stocked markets, etc. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning to return next year for a longer stay, with our extended family.

Wonderful escape to the Berkshires

This is a very fun house and property, with many wonderful features. The lakefront location is ideal, the yard and BBQ area are huge, and the kitchen is outfitted with every conceivable tool to help you whip up gourmet meals. Highly recommend.

Berkshires Vacation Home in Canaan

My family of 5 adults and 2 teenagers had an absolute blast at this 6-bedroom vacation home. The home had everything you could possibly need, from the chef kitchen to the wonderful sun room/dining room, living room, and pool table room, to the GREAT outdoor in-ground pool!!! It is one of the very best summer vacation homes we have gone to over the past several years. We would definitely enjoy going to back to this property in the future and would recommend it to family and friends!

Great house for our family reunion. Plenty of space for everyone.

We had a great weekend stay at this charming farmhouse. Perfect location for our reunion half of our family coming from New York City and the other half from Boston. So much to do in the area. The large gourmet kitchen made cooking in a big group really fun and the bedroom configuration worked out great for us. We also really enjoyed the lake right across the road and hanging out on the front porch.

Spacious, well appointed home

Lovely and spacious home, with a wonderful chef's kitchen. Plenty of linens, comfortable beds, hospitable touches. Nice views of the lake. Beach is about a mile away, but easy to get to and clean water for swimming. Friendly owners.

We just ended our fourth consecutive summer stay at this spectacular lake house. My husband and I, our son, daughter,their spouses and our three grandsons ages 2,5 and 9 have found this home to be the ideal spot to play, relax and build family memories. The home has been put together with love. The hosts evidence impeccable skill at creating large and livable spaces for adults and children and no expense has been spared in outfitting the home with amenities and comfort!The heated pool is gorgeous and so much fun, the access to the private beach club offers sand play and swimming in a natural lake and the high point for my kids is paddling to the lake in a canoe! Additionally, the well appointed kitchen makes cooking for a crowd a breeze. And the variety of rooms and outdoor spaces gives the family ease at both coming together and finding some moments of solitude. We leave each summer looking forward to our next stay.

Wish We Stayed Longer

Our group had an amazing time at this place! The house is filled with so many fun and interesting things, it’s impossible to be bored here. We especially liked taking the canoes out for a quick trip around the lake. The impressive indoor/outdoor kitchen areas even made cooking for a big group fun. The only negative thing I can say is that our stay was too short to fully appreciate everything this place had to offer, we’ll definitely plan to stay longer next time!

Not only was the property incredible but the hosts were equally as amazing. We had a reference book outlining everything we could possibly imagine! We knew exactly where to go locally and it had a lot of other useful information. The beds were comfortable and the house was so organized so it was easy to find everything we needed. Beautiful Property in Ideal Location- Wonderful Vacation!!

Thank you for hosting three generations of our family, who gathered to celebrate our daughter's graduation from RPI. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property. The house is well cared for beautifully decorated, and offers lots of options for family fun and gatherings- fire pit, pinball machine, huge kitchen and large dining area. Beautiful home for family gathering

It is hard to find places that can host multigenerational gatherings and this place is spacious! The number of bedrooms worked great for us and it was easy to have different groups of people doing different things in different rooms. We were there for a rainy fall weekend, so we didn’t use the pool or dock, but they looked nice. It is very well-appointed and well-maintained and the hosts were available for the few questions we had during our stay. The only thing about the location that was less optimal for us is that it is on a busy street, which makes it hard to take walks with kids. Otherwise the location is pretty good for accessing points of interest in the Berkshires. It’s very close to the turnpike and to Bartlett’s Orchard, which is our favorite apple picking spot.

Wonderful family vacations at Queechy Lake

We had perfect family vacations at Queechy Lake house. We stayed there for a week with our grandchildren, our children came only for the weekend and everybody was having a great time. The house is great, with everything people might hope for perfect vacations: big house, spacious and well equipped kitchen ( every single kitchen gadget for most sophisticated cooks in presence), with a huge number of entertainment options for children and adults (games and toys, Peloton and pool table, pinball machine). Private beach, kayaks, canoes, paddle boats on the lake and in-ground large swimming pool made our summer vacations perfect. The hosts are extremely responsive and helpful. We all, adults and children likewise, had a great time.

Summer Bliss in the Berkshires

We were thrilled to return for the third consecutive year for our family vacation week at this magical home. Our family includes 6 adults, 1 school age child, 1 preschool age child and a one year old. The comfortable furnishings, cleanliness and spaciousness of the home along with a seemingly endless source of activities provide each family member with utmost comfort and so many opportunities for fun!! Our days included swimming in the beautiful pool, boating, and building sand castles at the beach. Our meals were enhanced by the expansive kitchen and BBQ equipment and many evenings ended with s’mores at the fire pit. My husband and I feel indebted to the owners of this home for helping us to be such generous parents and fun grandparents!!

Shangri-La on Queechy Lake

We have rented homes in the Berkshires for an extended family vacation for the past seven consecutive summers. And we can honestly say that this home on Queechy Lake far surpassed the other homes in a multitude of ways. Additionally, the wonders of this home truly went beyond the written descriptions and our expectations Our family vacation includes our two adult children, their spouses and our grandsons, now ages three and seven. This home combines the charm of a long history stretching back to the 1800s with a beautiful renovation, modern and comfortable decorating and every up to date appliance and entertainment option one could want. The home and grounds are impeccably maintained, the bedrooms and bathrooms are well appointed, comfortable, and clean and the indoor and outdoor kitchens made every meal prep an exciting adventure. The hosts are attentive and helpful with even the smallest concern. What truly topped it all off are the private dock outfitted with boats and life jackets and the access to a pristine private beach club. The peace and comfort of the Singer-Crew home combined with the fantastic amenities made for a stress free family time filled with much joy and laughter.

Winter Getaway

This beautiful older house in Canaan is wonderful! Meredith was quick to answer any questions we had before and after renting their home. Right off the main streets, it is easy to get to and even with bad weather (which we had rain, ice, and snow showers) traveling was a piece of cake. They kept a bucket of salt for the walkway and stairs. The house itself is cozy, but with lots of room. We had a group of seven with a bedroom for each and more than enough space for everyone. Plenty of dishes and glassware and two dishwashers to boot. Would have liked a microwave for re-heating food, but the kitchen itself is amazing. The Wi-fi worked perfectly even with everyone online. Owners left an informative house manual that gave plenty of tips around the house and around the area itself. What it didn't answer, we found the property managers extremely helpful. This house is stocked with indoor games and outdoor toys. Our two dogs were even relaxed. We enjoyed our stay and would imagine being across from the lake in summer would be even more fun.

Best time with Family and Friends

We visited this beautiful home for a weekend away with our teen children and a few friends for a ski weekend. We loved the pool table it was fun for adults and kids. The fire place was really nice in the winter for a fun family evening snuggled up by the fire playing games. The beds are super comfy and memory foam and bedding soft and comfortable. Only suggestion is to turn heat down before bed, it works well, too well. While its an old house it has been updated with new windows, double dishwashers, country sink, kitchen has everything you need and enjoy for modern living. Meredith gives you information on the house in her 37 page guide she sends out which can be a bit intimidating but turned out to be most helpful when understanding how to use the espresso machine, procedures for check out, or where to eat nearby. It offers a bit of everything. I would love to stay in the home during the summer as it has what looks like an amazing pool, near the lake and firepit with grill etc, all of which we did not get to use during our stay. Even though the snow wasnt great we were able to go shopping in nearby Great Barrington and have lunch at the Red Lion Inn. Very centrally located to all the things we wanted to do and see. We would definitely stay here again and give it the best rating. Thanks again.

Our Return to Shangri-La on Queechy Lake

We have been renting homes in the Berkshires for our three generation family vacation for the past 9 years. We discovered this home on Queechy Lake last summer and immediately knew we had found a gem. This home combines the charm of a structure dating from the 1800s with a beautiful renovation, modern and comfortable decorating and every up to date appliance and entertainment option one could want. The home and grounds are impeccably maintained, the bedrooms and bathrooms are well appointed, comfortable and clean, and the indoor and outdoor kitchens make every meal prep an exciting adventure. The hosts are attentive and helpful with even the smallest concern. We were thrilled to return this year for our second summer and, although we couldn’t imagine that this perfect home could be any better, the addition of a pool was such a blast! The beauty of the pool matched their commitment to excellence reflected in all the features of this home. As an example of their superb attention to detail, they provide an easy to follow YouTube video explaining the pool’s heater. It is clear that the Singer-Crew family cherish their home and know how to have fun!! My family joins me in thanking them for providing us with the setting and amenities that truly guarantee a joyful family vacation. We are hoping to return in 2024!

Perfect spot for a large group

Several wonderful things stand out about this great place. First, the kitchen is fantastic - can easily have 4 working on meal prep at the same time with many more standing around chatting and snacking. The dining table adjacent the kitchen in the sun room is a great space to eat and chat late into the night with views of the water. We also enjoyed the fire pit and gathered there. The house is extremely well appointed. We used the outdoor grill for a few meals, and it was very generous to be able to use the canoe's, kayak, and paddle board. The lake is smaller so you'll want to be boating with small boats like the canoe and kayak, or a pontoon boat perhaps. It's also shallow which means that it's quite warm. Swimming is great from the designated swim area about a mile from the house. Access to the lake is easy across the street, and is a perfect spot to launch the canoe(s), but too weedy for swimming outside the designated swim area. The location is ideal for quick trips to a wide variety of Berkshire area activities -- Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum, waterfalls, a list too long to list here, but your hosts have made a very well-considered list to review. The local store and farm stand are not to be missed with fresh baked Amish bread from the store and fantastic fruits and vegetables from the farm stand. For a more suburban-style full service grocery you'll need to go 15 minutes down the road. The hosts were excellent, and extremely organized with a well-laid out booklet describing where things were, how to use the very nice Sonos sound system, wifi details, plus details of local shops, activities, and restaurants. Our group was 8 adults and the space was plenty big for us. If your group is larger than that you'll want to get a floor plan to see how to match everyone up with the right arrangements and keep in mind that it's 2 1/2 bathrooms. The bathrooms are recently remodeled, large, and very accommodating, but if you had the maximum number of guests the home can support it would become a bit of a bottleneck -- other than that you could easily have a group double our size with all the space available to sleep and gather.

Loved our time here. Everything you could hope for in a vacation spot.

Beautiful time there. The hosts were great and in constant contact to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was incredible and the lake was the cherry on top. We would love to go back!
