Owner was kind enough to let us in 2 days early due to weather. When we arrived, I noticed pretty quickly there were some housekeeping issues and I reached out to the owner with photos, she stated it had been “deep cleaned “ the month before. The first time we pre-heated the oven, the entire house filled with smoke and the fire alarm went off due to a filthy oven, patio door did not shut or lock properly, and was also filthy. When we used the washing machine, we had to remove the detergent reservoir and clean it, it had hard, dry detergent in it, dryer screen was full of lint. Windowsills had dead bugs & other debris, towels that were hung in the bathroom for us were covered in stains and the owner did have new towels dropped off for us. We were staying here for 6 weeks, and there was NOTHING to clean with. No broom, vacuum, toilet cleaner, sponge, literally nothing. The owner did say to go purchase these items and she would reimburse me, which she did. I should mention the house is for sale, and it didn’t sound like the owner had been at the house for several months. The house and area are nice, but somebody needs to pay attention to details inside, it was not ready for guests.
