We had a beautiful honeymoon birthday celebration. It was lovely and quiet. The pictures are beautiful, but in person its breathtaking. Wish we could stay longer.
Lovely pet-friendly and secluded cabin in the woods. We stayed here for a VT game and it was very easy to get into Blacksburg (1hr ride, 40mins is going down the mountain side). Dogs enjoyed all the space to run through the woods & local trails, we enjoyed the hot tub following the game & hikes.100% would stay again!
Everything was wonderful! The cabin is beautiful and has literally anything you could possibly need for your stay. It’s a bit of a drive to Virginia Tech, which is the only reason I gave the location a four out of five.

Thank you for such a kind review! So happy you had a relaxing stay, please come back anytime!
This has been the worst VRBO experience so far. The key was in a lock box without lock box instructions. The heavy door was hanging and missing hardware at check in and an accident waiting to happen. There was NO instructions to the lockbox. I was unable to get in and had to wait almost 2 hours to get help to get in. Then was told check out was 10 am when online it states 11 am not 10 am. I brought all my own stuff for the most part. Please elaborate on missing items. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a VRBO.The decor in the kitchen was tacky and cheap looking ie a used candle unable to light that need to be throw away. Cabinet door knobs not attached for example. I have pictures of the door hardware missing. It appears to be a sloppy repair job. I am the scapegoat for repairs needed. I have never had this experience at any other VRBOs ever.I would not recommend it.

We’re sorry to hear that your stay felt frustrating, and we’d like to clarify a few points for future guests.
The storm door was confirmed to be in working condition during our cleaner’s visit prior to your arrival. The damage referenced occurred during your stay, and we have documentation supporting this.
Regarding check-in, we provided consistent, real-time assistance and made multiple attempts to help you access the property as quickly as possible. Despite these efforts, there was a lack of cooperation during the process, which made resolution more difficult. We received approximately 70 messages within a short period of time while actively working toward a solution, which significantly impacted our ability to effectively coordinate assistance in real time.
In regard to check-out time, while our standard listing may reflect 11:00 AM, we communicated and received agreement in advance that your check-out would be 10:00 AM due to same-day turnover for incoming guests.
We take pride in maintaining our property and providing a positive guest experience, which is reflected in our history of successful stays. We also strive to communicate clearly and resolve issues promptly whenever they arise.
We encourage future guests to review communication and listing details carefully, as transparency, patience, and cooperation are key to a smooth and enjoyable stay for everyone.
Our stay at the Bent Mountain cabin was very relaxing and private. We felt isolated in our cabin and loved it. It had everything you could need without leaving except for groceries. We enjoyed the hot tub every day. The surrounding area was beautiful. If you wanted to get out Roanoke VA wasn’t far away. I would highly recommend this cabin to a couple who wants to reconnect with each other. Sitting on the deck in the mornings was awesome.
