Family vacation at Linger Lodge

Our family of 4 adults and two teens had a wonderful time staying at Linger Lodge on Lake Oconee! The rental property is a spacious log cabin stylishly decorated with comfortable furniture and vintage charm. The host were very helpful and quickly responded to my questions. We are enter a boat from a nearby marina. We had a great time exploring the lake and tubing. Fishing from the dock was awesome! We caught and released 30 fish in total. I think we caught a few of every species of fish living in Oconee. Everyone in my family agrees that we will definitely be returning to Linger Lodge.

Beautiful Lake House, Great Host!

The lake house was beautifully designed and equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay! The Property location and view of the lake was serene and breathtaking! We had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding anniversary. We had fun fishing right off the dock, and using the Fire Pit to roast a few marshmallows. The Host was very responsive and provided “exceptional” customer service! I would love to come back again soon.

Wonderful Lake Rental!

My family and I rented this lake home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Cabin is very spacious and clean! Beautiful view of lake and dock was so convenient for my son who was in a bass fishing tournament that weekend. Our family had a wonderful time and Karen and her husband were always available for our questions/needs. We greatly appreciate it and hope to be back next year! 😊

Fantastic Getaway!!

Linger Lodge stole our hearts!! The Shaws are fantastic hosts and thought of everything to appoint this Vrbo very well. It felt like staying at a friend’s lake house instead of a rental. We utilized the entire property…from docking our jet skis to firepit, grill, game room, and cooking in the kitchen. With on-demand hot water, 11 of us had plenty of hot water!! A huge plus!! Don’t hesitate to book this property!!!

The house was very nice. The lower level needs a dehumidifer (could be in laundry room) to reduce mustiness. We lost electricity for 4 to 6 hours on both the first and second nights of our four night trip. It was too hot to sleep upstairs or even on the main floor. A futon in the recreation room would have enlarged the areas to sleep on these two nights..

Annual family get-together at the lake

We had no problems and no complaints. The house was exactly as advertised and large enough to easily accommodate our 7 adults and 2 children. There were no complaints about the comfort of the beds. The kitchen was well furnished which is always a big plus. The docks were well maintained and were a great place to start off in one of our kayaks or canoes or to stay and fish. No worries, we didn’t catch all the fish. The parking pad accomodated our 5 vehicles and a boat trailer. Sugar Creek Marina was a mile or two away for snacks and ice. Eatonton was just a little further away if you needed something more serious like a Publix or a car repair. We had a flat tire while there and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Justin’s.

Great First Visit to Lake Oconee!

My family of 7 had a wonderful stay at Linger Lodge for our first visit to Lake Oconee! We had a couple of questions prior to our arrival, and the owners were extremely responsive via email communication. The spacious house and dock at the lake were both great. Fishing was the activity of choice and bait was easy to get at the very close Sugar Creek Marina (be sure to bring your own poles.) We rented a boat for one of our lake days, but unfortunately unexpected lightening appeared about an hour after we were out on the water. When it was clear the weather was not going to cooperate we were, thankfully, able to return the boat early and get some of our money back. When we did have the boat it was easy to tie it up at the dock at Linger Lodge. The paved walk between the house and the dock is somewhat steep, and it was slightly felt it in the calves after the first day. It was not an issue for anyone in our family, but it could be for someone who is elderly. We were able to find almost everything we needed for cooking and serving meals. Suggestion: bring storage containers if there is a chance you may have left overs. Our kids did mention the beds in the two bedrooms downstairs felt a bit damp, but this may be a quick fix if the owner sets up a dehumidifier on the lower level. We enjoyed relaxing on the upstairs and downstairs porches as well as gathering at the fire pit in the evening for some family time and s'mores. If you plan a stay at Linger Lodge, you most likely won't be disappointed...until it's time to leave.

Great Lake House and weekend

I rented this property with some friends for the 2nd year in a row. It is a great house and property with everything you need, including a private dock on a quiet cove. Very convenient to Atlanta. Good communication with the owner. Highly recommend.
