Beautiful 2 bed / 2 bath ocean view just renovated condo with everything new in a small and charming relaxed-feel beach town.
24 hr gated security condo with 17 units, secured parking with infinity pool and plenty of lounge chairs. My unit is on the 2nd floor and affords serene and spectacular views. Short trail walk to the beach, ocean, restaurants & town. Or $2 taxi from Condo to town. The Condo has fishing poles, 2 boogie boards, footballs, frisbees, beach chairs, beach shade canopy, cooler, beach bags. Fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, washer/dryer, 55" TV with DVD player. King size bed with new bathroom. 2nd room has 2 single beds with bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Lots of activities close by - to name a few - swimming, surfing, kayaking, horseback riding, zip lining, quad tours or just rent and cruise, fishing tours, dolphin tours, bike rentals, hiking, etc. Plenty of nice and casual beach restaurants. Fantastic local doctor (Dr. Freddy) in case you need one, banks, markets, post office, police station, souvenir shops. More about.....Samara, the town, is located in Guanacaste Province on the northern Pacific coast. It is about 1.5 hrs from Liberia International Airport (LIR). The drive from the airport is along all paved roads, making it is an easy destination to reach.
One of the main draws of Samara is its centrally located downtown. The downtown abuts the beach and is full of restaurants, trendy boutique shops, tour operators, markets and other amenities. Another draw is its surrounding forest and wildlife. Unlike areas to the north, thick tropical dry forest borders Samara. You can find animals like monkeys, iguanas, and many kinds of birds.
Samara’s biggest attraction is its beautiful beach. Playa Samara attracts all types of travelers with its rows of palm trees and light tan sand. You will find 20-somethings grabbing a beer at one of the beachside bars, couples strolling at sunset, and children at play in the calmer ocean waters. You can do so much in Samara - swim, surf, kayak, zip line, snorkel, short or long trips, hike, rent quads, horse back, etc. or simply nothing at all.

John was an excellent communicator and the view was unreal, pool was amazing. The whole facility is extremely clean and was vehicle was very safe as they have guards all during the day. Would highly recommend!

This condo had a magnificent view. The condo itself was very nice and clean and well supplied. The air conditioning was adequate. The infinity pool was terrific. What the listing did not mention was the hike down and back up to the condo. Definitely took some getting used to in the heat after a day at the beach! John was very quick to respond to any issues we had although the coffee maker didn’t work but we improvised. We loved the beach walk to the restaurants and town. It was a great stay. We were there for 10 days and it was super relaxing. Highly recommend Samara

Incredible place, location, and view!

Best location ever. 2 minute walk to the beach and nice bar/restaurant. Easy access to restaurants and shops by beach or road, generally 1/2 mile. Best beach we’ve ever experienced! Host was wonderful and very responsive. Condo was beautiful, well equipped for both the kitchen and beach. Fantastic views of the ocean! We will definitely stay again.

Lovely views!

Very much enjoyed our time in Samara...fantastic location! John was great at communicating. Only comment is that the unit could use some TLC...bedside lamps, improved lighting in the living area. BUT the beds were great, air conditioning great...overall a lovely stay.

The condo has gorgeous ocean views, and very clean. John is excellent host and very responsive. He sent everything related to the accommodation, Sámara restaurants, doctor information if needed, directions to airport, etc. It was excellent vacation. We loved it.

The greatest view!

John let us check in early! This place was amazing! The pool was wonderful and the walk to the beach is just down some stairs down the hill! Make sure and eat at the restaurant Bahia we had 3 meals there and they were all so good! Also, Roots bakery is the best!

Great place to stay

Really liked this condo. Great view of the ocean! The place was clean, easy to check in, had a lot of small amenities that made the trip better: boogie boards, flashlights, well stocked pots/pans/utensils, beach chairs, etc. Owners has thought of many things to make guests comfortable.

Beautiful condo and location! Beach is an easy walk as well as the town. Lovely pool on premise!

The drive from San Jose is long (5-6 hours realistically), so the closer airport is a better choice since it is apparently only 2 hours away. This is a slice of paradise though so it is worth the trip however long!

Nice condo very clean with good a/c. Nice pool and area for breakfast in the morning. Close to the beach. Have to be in shape to climb the hill from the beach to the condo if you walk😉. Parking well supervised. Good communication with John the owner

Beautiful property

Four senior adults (two couples) stayed here and found it to be just right. From the view with wonderful views of the Pacific and birds, to the access to the beach, to the comfort of helpful appliances, to the helpful staff, we enjoyed our short three day stay and would happily stayed longer. The town offers a nice variety of restaurants and shops too. We rented a golf cart that provided easy transport to town and the beach when we preferred--just let the owner know of you intention ahead of time. Would highly recommend for a fantastic vacation.

Beautiful condo in a beautiful location

We have stayed in several condos in CR, and this is one of our two favourites (the other being in Playa Flamingo). It is extremely comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The owner was great to deal with; the entire process was simple and John was very responsive to our questions. If we are lucky to return to Samara in the future, we will look no further than this condo.

Beautiful Condo with Stunning Views

Beautiful condo with stunning views of the ocean. Walking distance to town, but we chose to drive given the narrow busy road. Condo was very clean and in great location just slightly out of town on a hill with sweeping views. Well stocked with all kitchen utensils and necessities. Good parking and guarded community. Felt very safe. The condo pool was amazing !!

Sensational Samara!

We had a couple of issues when we arrived but the owner was quick to respond and resolve the problems. Very convenient to beach and restaurants with a fantastic view! We did appreciate having a car as the hill from the beach is a bit much to carry a lot of items. Our biggest issue was not having more time there!

GREAT SAMARA FIND

I was travelling with my husband and two adult daughters. The view from the condo was spectacular. Food for the soul. The bedrooms were large and beds very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked.The beach was close and beginner surfing was enjoyable for the girls. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely recommend to friends

Perfect in every dimension for us

We loved this condo for the following reasons:1. Location: Wake up with a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and then walk six minutes to the beach;2. Like home: The interior is modern, functional, clean; felt like home. A/C in the main room is a huge plus;3. Host: John was helpful and easy to communicate with from reservation to check-out;4. Property: Samara is safe, but the condo has an added layer of security with a gate and on-site staff. The pool is a great place to cool off and chill; and5. Value: The above features for the price presented what we assessed as the best value in Samara and some of the best in all of Costa Rica.Footnote: The walk back from the beach requires you to walk up some stairs and about 30 metres of inclined road. We loved this as an after dinner walk. However, if you are disabled or in poor health, you might think about renting a car or ATV.

Fantastic Stay + Great View

This property is an excellent value. The owner, John, was an absolute pleasure to communicate with. He made the check-in process as seamless as possible and was available anytime we had questions. The condo itself has a beautiful view of the ocean and is easy walking distance form the beach and the town of Samara. The only thing people should take note of is that the building is situated on a hillside, so expect a small hike to get there if you are coming from the beach. We are a fit/athletic family, so to me, it was a bonus (i.e. free to eat more gelato), but overweight people and/or people with mobility issues may want to take this into consideration. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Beautiful, Safe and Perfect Location

My daughter and I spent 5 nights at this wonderful condo and there is not one negative thing I can say about it. Jon was very helpful and very pleasant to deal with. It is in a great location, so close to Samara and many other areas of interest. We felt safe and secure with Antonio and Santos always on hand in the parking and surrounding areas. The condo is very well equipped with plush towels and comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the Tico breakfast (gallo pinto)at Laconda and would highly recommend anything at LuvBurger on the beach. It was a great bonus to have Netflix. After a hot day of hiking or sightseeing, followed by a leisurely dinner out, we loved to come "home" and watch a movie. Definitely a 5 star! Thank you for sharing your home away from home with us.

Excellent stay!

We really loved our vacation in Samara! The condo was one of the highlights. It was a great condo with an amazing view. It felt like all of the furniture was new and well organized. Finding it was easy and the support staff was always helpful. We had a car, but you can walk everywhere. You just have to be a little careful at night because it's a little dark on the road, but within one block, you're in the middle of town and everything is lit and easy to see. John, the owner was accessible via text and very responsive. We were late to arrive because of an accident on the road, but we texted him and everyone was waiting and access to the condo was very easy. We would definitely recommend the condo and will stay again if/when we return to Samara. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the internet was inconsistent, but other than that, it was excellent!!

My name is John and I live in California with my family. We absolutely love the beach life. I bought the condo to create the greatest of memories for my kids and family.

Why they chose this property

Actually, we discovered this property by accident. We came to Costa Rica for the first time and decided to stay in this small, enchanting town called Samara. We stayed for a month but also travelled around. This unit was unfinished and available for sale.
It needed a complete renovation which is exactly what I did and I just recently completely the project in June 1017. I really love Samara; it provides an authentic feel to Costa Rica and allows you to relax, decompress but still stay active and thrive with daily activities for the best of both worlds.
