Charming and Close to Everything!

We had a fantastic stay at A-Frame of mind this winter. The property was very clean and the hosts were responsive to any questions. There was a list of recommendations that were very useful and the hot tub was such a great feature (especially in the winter)! We also brought our pup along as the home is dog friendly. The house has lots of privacy but was still close to everything, we could probably ride a bike to the beach but breweries, restaurants, beaches are all about 5 minutes away and Kennebunkport just a little further for Xmas Prelude. Overall would recommend and definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Weekend Away!

A- Frame of mind was just what we needed. The house is so cute, clean, and comes with everything you need. Just minutes to the beach but far enough away that you feel like you are in the woods. The Hot Tub was amazing! Already can't wait to return.

The house was very nice. Had a little complications with the key to the hot tub on the first day. The mattresses were definitely on the hard side. Outside trash bins were not emptied before we arrived. Photos on the app make it seem like you are secluded but there is a house next door that can look directly into the house through the glass window wall. Other than that it was a nice place.

We know that’s the last thing you want to deal with when you’re settling in. We’ll absolutely pass the mattress feedback along to the homeowners, and we’re sorry the outdoor bins weren’t emptied prior to your arrival - off season pick up is scattered throughout the weeks, so we will be sure to address this in the future! During our peak season, private trash pick-up, in addition to town pick up, is scheduled every Friday. And we appreciate you mentioning the privacy concern! The listing photos were taken in the summer when the trees are fully leafed out, and in the winter the view can feel a bit more open — we understand how that could be surprising if you were expecting more seclusion. FANTASTIC GETAWAY!

Our stay at A-Frame of Mind was absolutely perfect. The home is beautifully designed — a modern A-frame that feels both stylish and cozy — with thoughtful touches in every detail. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and the furnishings and décor made it feel like a true retreat. The location in York couldn’t be better: close enough to enjoy the beach, restaurants, and shops, but tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. We especially loved the hot tub, big windows, deck, and privacy, which made evenings unforgettable. The hosts were fantastic — quick to communicate, welcoming, and clearly care about making guests feel at home. From the little extras to the ease of check-in, everything was seamless. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a special getaway in York.

A lovely weekend away!

My husband and I were looking for a cozy place to stay for a long weekend. We wanted something set back from a main road with off street parking, dog friendly for our leash-reactive pup, easy access into town/sightseeing/ shops, and with some space between the home and its neighbors. A-Frame Of Mind suited our needs perfectly! We loved the design and vibes of this house. While the shower was on the smaller side, it didn’t bother us … plus the water pressure was fabulous! The owners provided a small toiletries kit as well as provisions, and thank you also for the Maine-themed treats that you left us! That was very kind. We would agree with other reviewers that the mattress was firm - as was the couch, but that could be personal preference and/or new furniture! Our only other bugaboo was with the electronic lock to the main house. Perhaps it was user error, but my husband and I both tried to unlock the main house door on arrival and it wouldn’t open with the code provided- effectively locking us out. Very luckily, the slider door was left open (not sure by who), so we were still able to get into the house. As an aside, the code and lock did work for the guest bunkhouse without issues. After exchanging messages with Daniele, she arranged for maintenance to come the next morning and reset the main door lock. Once reset, the lock worked perfectly and we were able to relax for the rest of the trip. Thanks for a great stay!
