We booked this home for a working group team retreat, and we were looking for something in the Ventura County area that was close to good cycling, food/beverages, and nearby for local team members. We had such a wonderful time in this oasis of a home (the yard is tranquil and relaxing!); the beds were comfortable, the home was clean, and the host was gracious and responsive. Highly recommend!
Ryan's place was the perfect retreat from Los Angeles and perfectly suited for our Ojai Music Festival weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the large yard and the easy feel of the house between concerts and activities in the Valley. Ryan was very responsive to any questions and the process was a breeze. We would love to come back for a week with our dog to take advantage of the ability to work remotely and get out of the city.
The property is amazing and nicely fenced. The house could
have been a little cleaner. With just a damp rag, lots of things
could have been made clean. Refrigerator/freezer was not
very clean. We did enjoy the serene atmosphere.
I enjoyed my stay here - the host made it even better with tips and offering to help with anything I needed. The place is a ranch style home that's been remodeled and modernized - very cool and hip feel to it. The beds are wow, wow comfy (thank you!). Bathrooms and everything very clean. Filtered pH balanced water available from a spout in the sink, crystals and good vibes everywhere. I only wish the yard were not all bark and dirt, but I understand the difficulty in watering and maintaining a large lot in a state that has a drought. Great place to stay if you're visiting Ojai!
We had a large group and this was the perfect property!
Homeowner Ryan was really easy to work with and was helpful for our special requests.
Plenty of sleeping space, the kitchen was well equipped, small but worked well for serving a crowd. The outdoor space was the best! plenty of picnic tables and lovely pine trees provided shade.
This is a corner lot so there was enough room all of our cars.
We would stay here again!

A Decent Place to Stay in Ojai
We spent two nights at this property. I guess that the best way to describe how we felt would be to relate our initial impressions as we walked through. Don't get me wrong, it's cool, clean (mostly, more on that to come), and has what you need, but it also lacks a bit. I would say that the posted pictures definitely make it look better then it is.
As we walked in initially, myself, my wife, and my kids all more or less said the same thing. "It will work for 2 nights." Keep in mind I've stayed in some that were amazing, and some that were not as good as this. It's middle of the road for me.
Thoe host hadn't added any instructions to his portions of the app so I had to text to get many questions answered. Where is the iron? Does the TV work? All were answered, but it seems like they should be somewhat laid out for people. I could never get the TV to work. It goes off of some sort of streaming box that even when plugged in didn't seem to fire up. We good wifi though so in those few times we wanted to watch something we just used iPads. Maybe some signage or notes on where to find things would be helpful.
In terms of the "mostly clean", all I can say there was that there were some leftover food items in the fridge, and a large "surprise" sitting in one of the toilets.
Again, not my best rental experience, but definitely not my worst. It's a solid option for the Ojai area, and the host was great to work with in figuring things out!
