The house is a great location, near the dog beach. Super cute, "beachy" house. Very comfortable layout. Fantastic fire pit and outside area. Something to be aware of is the climb up a long set of steep stairs to get to the house from the parking area. If you have heavy luggage or a person with physical challenges it would be difficult. We will definitely stay again!
We stayed here with my brother and his family and had the best time! The views are spectacular and having easy access to the beach was amazing. We enjoyed hanging out on the large deck and watching the owls hunt at night.

We love hearing from our guests. We look forward to hearing from many more in the future as well.
The house is the perfect spot to walk on the beach and enjoy the views while sitting in the main room. Very quiet/peaceful, and the weather was gorgeous to boot! This is the second time we’ve stayed here and loved it each time.
Wonderful location, quiet and relatively secluded from the crowds of Double Bluff Beach Park. Home was clean, well equipped and met the needs of our family perfectly. Our dog absolutely loved his off-leash beach time!

Humans and dogs agree...Double Bluff Beach Club is the place to be!
Great location, our dog loved the off-leash beach down the steps! Had plenty of space for our family of five. Had perfect weather to go beach combing and making structures out of the driftwood.
Million dollar view on a dog friendly beach with mild traffic of people from the public access point next door. Nicely updated/remodeled and had everything in the kitchen, super well stocked. No beach chairs but many options for in yard and deck seating. Fire pit was awesome!!Kids had some allergies downstairs especially likely due to previous pets.. Also note that you must walk through the downstairs bunk room from the second bedroom to access the bathroom so not a lot of privacy for my teen girl and boy which was not well received but oh well. Gorgeous home and responsive host.
Spectacular view and spectacularly quiet, but there are a couple of issues.Fantastic location, off down at the end of a private road. The beach is immediately there when you leave the house. You can walk and walk and walk through the driftwood and along a clean sandy beach. That is absolutely wonderful. Saw Mr. Rainier and a few tall Seattle buildings off in the distance. The peace and quiet is gorgeous. You can get lots of entertainment just watching dogs running around on the beach. The only way to the house is by walking up lots and lots of steps -- probably 70 or so. Steps are fine, BUT -- the first run of 11 steps, at the bottom, is charming old stones. The problem is that they are very uneven, with gaps between them, and there is no handrail. That gets tricky, especially if they're wet. It doesn't look safe, it doesn't feel safe, it isn't safe, and it is an Island County code violation (R311.7.8). I'm a handyman and it's an easy place to put handrails -- why the owners haven't done it is a mystery. From the bedroom upstairs, the view is absolutely wonderful. It is also wonderful from the living room, *IF* you're standing up or sitting on the tall stools at the kitchen counter. But the big window sits starts almost four feet off the ground floor. If you relax into the sofa, all you can see is sky and treetops. You can relax on the sofa or you can enjoy the view. You can't do both.
This was our second stay here and we absolutely loved it again. The view and location just can’t be beat. The house is small, but with the large deck and the beach right there, it’s just right for a family of four.
Great stay! Loved the beach access, good views and very quiet and relaxing. Loved the wildlife . The house had everything we needed and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the cruise ships come in and out of Seattle.
We really enjoyed our stay, will definitely come back. The house was cozy for 8 people, but it worked fine. The updated kitchen and bathrooms were great. The best part of the trip may have been having a front row view to watch the kite surfers.
The Double bluff beach club is very special. It is an older home that has been remodeled and has a lot of character. It is such a beautiful location on double bluff beach and the view from every room of the home and the cabin are wonderful! It is clear that the owners were very thoughtful in their remodel. The furniture, towels and bed linens are clean. The kitchen is well stocked; we found everything we needed. It should be clearly noted in the listing the amount of stairs to get to the cabin. We did well with the stairs going to the home and also going from the main floor downstairs however, it will not be suitable for people with mobility challenges. All suitcases and food need to be carried up approximately 3 flights of stairs, then you can have a glass of wine and enjoy the view!

It is always a balance figuring out how to honor the past when updating an older beach home like Double Bluff Beach Club. We can't get around the stairs (althought they offer a great workout opportunity) but are so glad our guests appreciate the careful updates and refreshed amenities of our cabin on the beach.
Just to clarify, our 3.5-acre property is right on the beach however the cabin sits back about 300 feet from the actual high tide mark and is perched beautifully up on the hill. The position of the cabin makes the view AMAZING but there are around 50 stairs to get to the front door.
Had a terrific time—views phenomenal, deck amazing. Easy access to amazing beach.

The view from the elevated deck is one of our most cherished amenities by many of our guests. The direct beach access is so convenient to walk for miles, play catch, go crabbing, throw a frisby to your dog or whatever else you can inagine!
