What makes this property unique
Step back into the late 1800s at this wilderness retreat, where the echoes of Colorado’s silver boom are still visible today. Multiple shuttered mine sites, preserved through official reclamation, dot the property — offering a rare glimpse into the history that made Leadville famous as one of the richest silver districts in the world.
Unlike typical campgrounds, this stay blends frontier history with modern off-grid comfort. Guests can explore evidence of past mining around the land, then return to a cozy camper sheltered under a pole barn, complete with Starlink Wi-Fi, solar-powered energy, propane, and abundant firewood. Here, you’re not just camping — you’re connecting with a piece of authentic mining history in a setting that is as rugged and raw as it is peaceful
