About the host
Hosted by Candy
Hello, we are Candy & Anthony, from Shanghai & Singapore. Because of our love of Japanese culture, we have built our home in Kyoto, and now share it with you.
“Yuen” is the word for destiny, and “She” means humble house. In the Japanese tea ceremony concept of “Ichi En Ichi Go” hospitality, they believe that every meeting is a result of a predestined encounter, where each guest meets together with the same heart of sincerity, trust, and cherishes the short time together, thus leaving a good memory.

Why they chose this property
Located on the site of an ancient temple, the hotel is adjacent to the Four Seasons Hotel, the Kyoto National Museum, Sixsense, Sanjusangendo Temple, and the Hyatt Regency. It's an easy walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and a stroll to the Kamogawa River, a unique Kyoto pastime. With convenient transportation, it's just a 10-minute taxi ride from Kyoto Station. Within a 3-minute walk are 24-hour convenience stores, renowned cafes, and restaurants, making it the perfect place to experience Kyoto life.
What makes this property unique
Over the years, we have traveled to over 30 countries and more than 50 cities, thus we are very well aware of the travel fatigue and the need for a warm, comfortable, convenient, and clean place for resting and recharging oneself.
When we design and decorate houses, our first priority is to create a comfortable living space, equipped with modern amenities, where each guest can relax and enjoy the feeling of home living while traveling in a foreign land.
