Escape to nature at Fisherman’s Cabin, a beautifully renovated retreat nestled at the confluence of the North Fork and Wilson Rivers. This cozy, knotty-pine sanctuary is the ultimate getaway for anglers, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts. Relax in our new private hot tub, enjoy modern amenities like flat-screen TVs and a spa-like jetted tub, or explore local trails right from your doorstep.

Unwind in our cozy bedroom, featuring a plush queen bed, unique handcrafted leather curtains, and a dedicated entertainment center for relaxed movie nights. The open-concept living area blends Southwestern and country charm, centered around a brand-new leather couch with a queen-sized sofa sleeper—the perfect space for gathering for meals or game time.

Entertainment is a priority here: enjoy three flat-screen TVs, including a massive 70-inch screen in the living room and one mounted in the bathroom, viewable right from the jetted tub. After a day of fishing or hiking, treat yourself to a spa-like experience with our dual-sprayer shower, heated towel warmer, and jetted tub.

Step outside to enjoy stunning views of the Wilson River, located just 60 feet from your yard. Whether you`re skipping rocks, fishing for your next catch, or exploring the private trail that leads directly to the North Fork River, nature is truly at your doorstep.

We are proud to be a pet-friendly retreat! Dogs are welcome for a $25 fee per pet per stay (must be flea-treated; please clean up after your furry friends). We also cater to equestrian guests with on-site paddock space available for $15 per horse, per day. Our 17.5` x 35` paddocks feature safe New Zealand fencing with a 6-inch wood rail. With miles of scenic trails right off the property and the beach just a short drive away, it’s the perfect base for your next outdoor adventure. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring horses so we can prepare your paddock.

You are welcome to explore the property, but please be mindful of the privacy of other renters on the street. While there is a fire pit available in the yard, please note that firewood is not provided.

Planning a large group getaway? We manage two additional homes nearby, allowing us to accommodate groups of up to 27 guests. The Castaway is a newly remodeled space that sleeps 8, while Happy Hollow is a spacious 4-bedroom home that sleeps up to 15. Please reach out for more information if you are interested in booking multiple properties.

You will have full, private use of the Fisherman’s Cabin property, which includes a fenced yard—perfect for keeping your pets secure. Situated on a private driveway, the home offers immediate access to the Wilson and North Fork Rivers, along with numerous hiking trails right outside your door. We hope you enjoy your stay!

I am always available if you need assistance during your stay. The homeowner lives nearby and respects your privacy, but is known to be very friendly—he may even share his daily crab catch with you or offer to take interested guests out on a local crabbing excursion.

Great little place

Great place. 2 Kids comfortably slept on the sofa bed with 2 adults in the bedroom. Clean. Hottub was great. Location is great, the river was a ton of fun for the kids, very shallow when we went but they enjoyed swimming/wading through it every day.

Quiet Place

Very nice, had everything we needed for a couple day stay. Quiet area and friendly neighbors. We went for a quiet get away, but would be a perfect location for fishermen so close to the river.

Check-in couldn’t have been easier. The facilities well suited our needs. Describing this property as ‘river access,’ though, is a bit disingenuous. The river is accessed by a narrow path around another property and through a grassy field, followed by a scramble down a dirt bank.

Great cabin!

The pictures really don't do it justice. It was perfect for a weekend getaway. The river is literally just steps away. My husband even caught a good sized cutthroat trout. We're looking forward to coming back this summer.

Directions to get there were to the hwy. You need the street address to find it and with no cell reception it mase it difficult to find. Also, in the dark, it looks like part of the construction project. In the light it still is in the middle of a construction area and next to a garage storage area that is overflowing with a ton of misc junk. Inside was nice, bed was super comfy and I enjoyed the hot tub. Some of the other listed amenities were not as listed i.e. the tub has jets but is not heated and slimy stuff came out if it when using it. It is also not riverside and "access" to see the river is through the parking lot of the construction site. If you want to access the river bank itself you will need to drive over the bridge, which is currently being repaired, and go to the boat launch area. There were 3 tv's as advertised but the satellite was not working so expect to use basic streaming services or sign-in to your own. Not sure which game they expect you to be able to watch. Over all it was nice but not completely as-advertised.

Fishing weekend

Had looked at these properties before we booked. Love the location and wanted to make sure the properties had high end amenities. Not only did they meet my expectations, the host stopped by to make sure things were going well. I hope to be able to bring more friends and family here on future trips.

Honeymoon Bliss

Absolutely was the perfect spot for our honeymoon! It is on a property with a couple other VRBO rentals but still provided the remote feeling we were looking for. Nestled among surrounding wooded hills on all sides with a super short walk down to the river it really was perfect and the hot tub was 👌 Met Pete, the property owner and he took us on a short walk up a trail offering some old timer stories about his life and the property ❤️ we enjoyed everything so much. We definitely will be back😊

A week

Accommodations was great. Cabin was excellent for our stay. Close to everything we had an interest in doing. The river side was pleasant. A public access road within walking distance made for a pleasant quite place to exercise and enjoy a private walk in a wooded area with our dog. a return stay when we come back to Tillamook.

Cabin was nice but property set bad impression

The cabin itself was fairly nice and has good furnishings. However, the property has 4 houses total, and the home next to this cabin had a severe fire at some point recently. I assume they are waiting on insurance and other legalities, but we had no communication about this prior to arriving, so it was disconcerting to drive up to see a burned out home next to where we stayed. The trail mentioned in the listing goes behind the cabin and then next to this home. The property owner was using machinery to load dirt Sat evening from 6-9pm across the driveway, and we had someone enter the cabin's fenced-in area we did not invite. It was not a relaxing stay.

Dogs never stop barking

Location was close to the river and good for fishing. Inside home was clean and had everything you would need. The outside area was pretty overran with stuff and was not scenic. Multiple houses clumped in one area and not private or quiet. The nonstop barking from the owners dogs was awful. Woke us up very early each morning and barked all day long until they were put up at night. Also having to do our own laundry while on vacation and after paying a cleaning fee is ridiculous. Starting a load of laundry is to be expected but having to wash and dry all towels before leaving is very inconvenient. You have to wake up extra early if you want to take a shower or I guess bring your own towels from home. I would not stay here and would not recommend it to others.

Perfect for a Honeymoon Cottage or a fishing get-away

We rented this house as a honeymoon cottage for our daughter and her new husband. We had told the owner that we were renting it for that purpose. The property manager/handywoman had asked us when the wedding was. When the bride and groom came home to the cottage, Annie had decorated it with lights, candles, rose petals leading up to the door and more candles, flowers and great big Mr. and Mrs. Pillows inside. The kids felt so very special. It was a wonderful way to come home from the ceremony and feel super special. It will be something they will always remember.. The house itself is very clean and well stocked. Everything is very well maintained. It is a great, cozy hideaway for a vacation, a fishing weekend and an extra house across from other properties on the same street the owner rents. I would definitely recommend this house or any other house this owner owns.

Would stay again, even with its quirks

A beautiful home next to a beautiful river. The hot tub was fantastic and the fishing right next door was super convenient! The house is located across the dirt road from the river, but the view is now partially blocked by a new structure that someone is building. The walkway to the side parking and the boarding going out the front door gets extremely slippery in the rainy months, so much so that my husband slipped and fell on the boarding. During the fishing season it looks like the neighbor uses crab pots, so those were a little smelly occasionally. We are used to it, but others may not be. The neighbor's dogs woke us up in the morning, but after it was mentioned to him, he was very kind and apologized and it never happened again. The adjustable lighting was very nice, and there is a light switch right next to the bed to turn off the overhead lights. The bedroom has about a foot of space along each side of the bed, so you have to slide your way along the wall to get to your side of the bed. Overall, we'd stay here again. It was a lovely place to relax and do some fishing.

4 Star Address, 2 Star Mgmt

You drive onto a small, communal property area, and are greeted in turn by several neighbors. Annie, Lisa, and Pete were extraordinarily welcoming. The river is right out the front door, and dogs are nose to ground with all the new smells. Hiking starts around Pete's place, and is magnificent. There's very little clothing storage or horizontal surface to place your own items, but the cabin has a nicely appointed kitchen. It has all the tools required to make just about anything. The dishwasher is not anchored in place, so it can shift about while open. It reminds me of a high end hunting cabin. There is ambient light at night, so you have no trouble maneuvering after sundown, but that can make it hard to fall asleep. We could not get ATT cellular, and few of our devices had strong enough antennas to pick up the wifi signal. It was a tech free week for us. A glass lampshade in the bedroom is broken. If this was the extent of my experience, I could give them a resounding thumbs up. Except for ... the property management aspect. Starting 6? days out, I emailed and/or phoned 4 times requesting the address and entry information. The response finally arrived mid-morning, on my arrival date. Could this an off week? Maybe. But, my three worst rental experiences have all been "Managed by Non-Owner."

Response from VrboOwner on 2 April 2020
Thanks for your candid comments. We emailed back and forth 27 different times. I helped you with arrangements to go fishing. I gave you lots of suggestions for things to do in the area. I publish all of needed information directly on VRBO through the line guest book, that you are sent an invitation to access. Its important to do that. It gives you directions, the lock box code and even the wifi password. In addition to that you were also emailed step by step driving directions with the lock box information located directly under the address. Its highly important to read all the information. You were greeted at the house by Lisa, a member of management. Thank you for letting us know about the dishwasher, we replaced a broken screw and it was an easy fix. We do have great lighting. I'm not sure why that would make it hard to sleep. They all shut off with a switch any time your choose. Yes, we are aware of that one of the panels on the lamp is broken. It is a beautiful hand painted lamp. Its a piece of art work that the owner Pete is fond of. He is from a time when both people and object weren't disposable. As for me, I provided the information in 2 different methods prior to your trip. The 2 hour window in which you called four time, from 11-1 I was at lunch with my kids for my birthday. Even property Managers have birthdays once a year.
