This is not a high rise. Private covered parking for two cars directly under the home. 40 unit beachfront complex with ocean views from every window. Front door to the ocean in one minute.

Just FEET away from the beach. Within walking distance to the heart of Gulf Shores on The Boardwalk, The Hangout, many restaurants and the shopping district.

The unit has a beautiful Nautical theme, of lighthouses and sailboats throughout. Enjoy a georgeous beach view from every window. The home has two balconies overlooking the beach, grass courtyard and pool, with chairs and a table. Relaxing to soak in the afternoon sun and fresh air dining are favorites on the balcony. The sunset views are amazing. The living room offers two sofas (one is a queen sleeper) with a side table, coffee table and a nice reading chair. Cuddle up and watch your favorite shows and movies on the flat screen TV, or use the provided Internet wifi hotspot and surf the Web or your kids fun gaming platform.

The large kitchen table accomodates 8 people. Enjoy home cooked meals? The kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, fridge, stove, microwave, sink with garbage disposal, 2 coffee makers, toaster, blender, serving dishes and can opener. If you prefer takeout, there are a number of restaurants that deliver to your door. If dining in isn't your thing, there is a wide variety of great restaurants in the area.

For added convienience, there is a washer/dryer tucked away in the nook near the kitchen and a half bath just off the kitchen area. A nautical rope lined stairwell leads you directly to your master suite, offering a king sized bed, a reading chair and table with a georgeous beach view.

Amenities include a chest of drawers, large closet with full length mirror, flat screen TVs with remote, two bedside tables, and a second private balcony with two chairs and a small table, to sit and enjoy a gorgeous view! The ensuite bath has a full size tub and shower. Just down the hall is the guest bedroom, providing a pair of twin sized beds, double closets, chest of drawers, nightstand and a corner window with beach views. The second bathroom is accessible from the guestroom as well as from the hallway. Providing another full sized tub and shower.

Older Rental but, it Doesn't Need to be Neglected

We just had an overall sense of disappointment about the run down, neglected, and yes, unclean condition of the property.

Hi Rob, thanks for your communication via this review. I’m truly sorry and sad to read your review. You’re right!! I should not ever happen. I did not know this occurred for your stay until reading this! You and I had direct txt communication during your stay. I wish you had relayed the uncleanliness at that time. I would have been able to remedy it. A guest after your departure txt me upon arrival about the maid service and that issue was quickly resolved with my immediate communication with the owners of that maid service. I am also forwarding this new info to them. It just shouldn’t occur .. especially with what we pay for that service. Thanks for the communication Rob. Again I’m sorry it happened!! It won’t continue!!

Upon initial arrival, we photographed the premises interior and called the host, asking immediately for a refund, because the interior condition of the property (physical condition, cleanliness, or view) was not like the photos advertised on Vrbo. After I forwarded over 40 photos to the host (who was very nice and very helpful) illustrating the premises interior condition, she called VRBO with us on the line, and together, after a couple of hours and through no small effort, secured a full refund. * I am not Not sure who did what, or what went wrong here, but the photos (which I can't seem to post here in this review feature of this website) tell the story clearly, and our hopes for a lovely stay at this "beachfront"property did not come to fruition because the property turned out to be in poor condition even though we'd paid a premium price. That said, the host was very kind and very helpful. We had to locate other accommodations in a pinch at 6pm on a Thursday night hundreds of miles from home.

Best location out there!!!

My family and I enjoyed this property so much!!!! The location is fantastic!!! For starters- you have your own assigned parking area beneath the townhouse. This parking area also doubled as our pool/beach gear storage (meaning- no sandy mess being inadvertently brought in every time you come inside!!!) You can be at the pool or beach in less than 3 minutes!!!! Amazing!!!! I’ll never stay in a high rise with 30+ min elevator lines again!!! The host(owner) is also wonderful. She gave us so many suggestions on places to visit and eat during our stay! She went above and beyond and I’m so grateful we’ve found our forever rental in Gulf Shores!!!

Unit is very dated, but clean!

Sofa seat cushions sink into the sofa bed when you sit down (very uncomfortable). Need to upgrade furniture, or fix and clean old. TV in the living room has no instructions and it's very hard to find a particular station to watch fave shows! Beds are uncomfortable. Location was good, close to fave spots. Probably won't stay here again.

A property damage claim has been filed. Repairs have been completed, blocking out one week of spring break vacation, to make these repairs. We are sorry to learn of your discomfort during your recent two night stay. My family had been there prior to your visit and the home was in perfect condition. After several unsuccessful attempts to reach you post stay, I called our Interior Decorating team, as well as the Maid Service and the Inspector. They have all gone out to our home in light of your review and repaired the damage to our home before our next guests arrival. I also overnighted to our next guests, new wifi information stickers that had been removed from our home, along with new parking passes. The furnishing and home were reported to be clean, including the sofa upholstery. The interior Decorators were asked to fix the damaged sofa sleeper or replace it. It is a 4k custom upholstered sofa sleeper. They reported it didn't need replacing nor did it need to be cleaned... Just repaired. Pictures of the damage were taken and sent directly to me and forwarded to the PDP claims department and repairs were made. The pictures of our home on this website, showing exactly what our home offers, including decor. Upon your entering our home, I had just ended a thirty minute conversation with you after you'd not checked your email for directions and the entry codes. I was very happy to help you! I gladly would have emailed you a TV guide. The same way I worked with you to bend my rental rules allowing you a two night stay instead of four nights. Always happy to help, to accommodate our guests. A phone call or email is all it takes, even if accidental damage occurs. It is why you have PDP. We are glad you enjoyed Gulf Shores! It is truly a wonderful place we go back to again and again!

Disappointing

I'm trying to recall if I've ever left a negative review on VRBO before. Where to start? I bet this place was nice 20 years ago. Poor maintenance has taken it's toll. AC is insufficient. Little to no water pressure. Drier needs constant attention. The shower coming from the beach only worked 25% of the time. The sliding doors were inoperative, so it was difficult to go on the minuscule porch. I used the window to close the door after it fell apart. There's a public beach next door, and a high rise on the other side, so the beach was just slammed. The owner did offer to have someone come fix the sliding door, but I was unwilling to wait on them after they missed the first appointment. Disappointed, to summarize it.

Rhett, Thank you for letting me know these issues via this review. I prefer txt as we did concerning the balcony door that had been damaged by previous guests lol but this too is appreciated whether in a txt or a review. I can fix what I know is an issue. I will immediately address these issues. The last txt communication with you was after you informed me of damages to the balcony door. Me: “The glass company will be calling y'all to schedule when to come out and repair the glass door. It is totally up to y'all whether they come out during your stay or after 10am on the day of your departure!! Just tell them when and they'll fix it. Thanks again for letting me know!“ ... followed by your reply: “ok thanks!”. Low water pressure at the boardwalk will be addressed as well as the dryer issue. Again thanks for your communication so I can address these immediately!

Great location, great owner!

Seeing the picture reminds me of a good place to start this review....that picture is 100% accurate. 2 minute walk to the start of the beach and 5 minute (or less) walk across the beach to exactly where you want to be to set up your beach chairs. This place is a great value for the price. Top features: Location - as described above it's very easy access to the beach Owner - Marni is very responsive which makes the whole process that much easier. Pool - the townhouse complex has it's own pool which is pretty good sized and is a nice change of pace from the beach. We have little one's who can be trusted in the pool with minimal supervision but couldn't be in the ocean so the pool is a good option. Things to be aware of. Obviously, I give it five stars so these aren't issues that take away from the overall experience just a few notes I would want to know ahead of time if I were visiting. internet - was dicey when we were there. Marni told us it was being worked on and we saw the actual workers there on our departure day so we can confirm that. However, if you absolutely must have fast reliable internet you might want to double check on this. staples - with vrbo we are accustomed to there being some staples - (salt, pepper, etc.) all the necessities (plates, glasses, silverware) are definitely there but other than that the cupboards were bare. room for 6 - 2 adults and 4 kids no problem. in my college days, yep room for six. Six adults would be seriously pushing it. We were a family of four and it was perfect for us. Our last beach trip was to Galveston which is only 5 1/2 hours from us. Gulf shores is 10 hours away but I'd say it's definitely worth the extra driving time. It's just a significantly better beach. Also, the best beaches in Galveston are a ways from most services. This townhouse is very conveniently located to a bunch of great restaurants and other services. It's also not overcrowded. So...we highly recommend this rental!
