Completely remodeled in 2022! This bright and updated historic home is filled with charm and centered in Tacoma’s newest, most up and coming neighborhood. Tacoma's 6th Avenue district is located between Proctor/UPS, West Slope, and Hilltop, and has the highest concentration of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and shopping in the city. The home is walking distance to most destinations or an easy bus ride on the #1 bus route. UW Tacoma, Tacoma Dome, and JBLM are also in close proximity, with Mt Rainier < 2 hours away.
This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home was built in 1896 and exudes rustic charm with tall ceilings, original molding and hardwood floors. The main floor features a family room, dining room and airy kitchen that opens onto a large rear deck. The bathrooms and kitchen have been fully renovated, with many other upgrades throughout the house. Guests may enjoy relaxing on the front porch on summer evenings or from more privacy, enjoy the fully fenced back yard and deck. The home offers premium HD cable (YouTube TV) and high-speed wireless internet. There is off-street parking for 2 vehicles, and ample street parking available. The home sleeps 4 in privacy, and washer/dryer are provided.
Neighborhood: You are steps away from 10+ bars and restaurants on 6th avenue. Downtown and the Proctor neighborhood are only minutes away. Some of my favorite local places are Half Pint Pizza, Asado, The Red Hot, and Engine House No. 9. In Proctor the Tacos at Brewers Row and fantastic.
The guest manual is located on the kitchen counter.

The property was perfect for our trip. Walking distance too many local resturants and bars. Point Defiance, Roston way, Zoo and Aquarium way are wthin a few minutes drive.
We enjoyed our stay very much! The home looked just like the pictures and was comfortable. The homeowner was easy to get in contact with, very responsive. We would stay again!
Cute, renovated house in a good location, near 6th Ave shops and a short drive to everything else. Nice, updated kitchen and bathrooms. Would stay again. Thanks!
This property was exactly what we were looking for for our visit to the national parks. We were conveniently located. The property was very clean. The bathrooms were clean and remodeled. The beds were very comfortable following a day of hiking and exploring. The kitchen was well stock, however we did not use anything in the kitchen, except the refrigerator.
Excellent 2 bedroom home, spacious rooms with 2 full baths. My wife and I stayed here for our son's wedding this past September. Nice laundry facilities, kitchen, dining and living rooms. Great location, easy to get to restaurants and shopping. Easy drive to Point Defiance Park and the water. We would definitely stay here again when we visit our son.
Came to Tacoma as part of a cross country trip, and to visit family. The Reddish house was very close walking distance to my family and offered the additional convenience of shopping and dining places near by.
Nice, quiet home near the University of Puget Sound. Perfect place for my daughter and I to be close to campus and graduation activities. Lots of restaurant options nearby.
It’s beautifully decorated and redone. The hosts were lovely and very responsive. It’s so close to a lot of restaurants and shops but still very peaceful and quite. It’s well equipped for the exception of condiments and spices. If I had to stay in Tacoma I would definitely stay here again.
This house is in a great location and was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the front porch and watching the squirrels glean their winter stash. Tha back yard space looks amazing. Wish we had more time to enjoy. Thanks so much!
We enjoyed our stay here. The house was just as described, super clean and comfortable. It was nicely decorated, and there was a detailed information binder.
Check-in/out was seamless, and communication with the owner during our stay was quick and easy. The downstairs portable air conditioner didn't really work during our stay, but it was a minor inconvenience. Luckily, the evenings were cool. It would have been nice to have screens on the front windows, but we opened them up anyway and didn't have any bug issues. The neighborhood was fine, though a little noisy early in the morning on the weekend. We felt safe and the location is an easy walking distance to several shops and restaurants.

we loved our stay at the reddish house! the house itself is beautiful, the kitchen was incredible, and everything we needed for our week was within walking distance. the yard was super cute and we enjoyed some time on the back porch when the sun was out! we didn’t know that we would not have AC for our stay, but a standing fan in the bedroom helped with the temperature.
