Welcome to your large Oceanfront home on world-famous Oxnard Dunes w/awesome oceanfront view of the Channel Islands National Park. Closest point on coast to islands w/world-class views, 2 fireplaces/Oceanfront Decks, Kennel, 2 Parks w/Handicap access, sand volleyball courts, BBQ’s, Basketball court on beach,Bike oceanfront trails, 2nd park for child/Basketball on beach 2Harbors w/scuba/fishing/whale watching/Kayaking, & Island & helicopter trips daily. Nearby dog parks. Outlet malls. Strawberry festival & Air show.
A private entrance leads you upstairs to the foyer with two living two spacious living rooms looking out to the back deck through the sliding door, with views of the dunes, ocean, and islands for your party to enjoy, including a petlaton with a view! Fully equipped kitchen for the gourmet chef and 3 different coffee makers. Two bedrooms upstairs: Master has CA King bed with a queen-sized couch that makes into a bed and the other boasts a theater Sony projector with wall screen, both share a bathroom, and there is a half bath in the hallway. The downstairs has two other bedrooms with their own full baths and across from that is a door to step out into the sand or when coming back, a shower is available outside. There is also a washer & dryer on the 1st floor.
Two spacious living rooms overlook the ocean with plenty of space for your party to enjoy. We offer our guests Netflix, Hulu, and over 800 iTunes movies. There are board games, poker, chess, and puzzles in the living room closet. The living rooms boast multiple couches/powered lounge for large families and groups that are looking to spread out With 65 inch 4K screen on 3 way swivel system above fireplace and 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos sound system in family-room, Sony HD Projector with 120 inch screen and Atlantic Technology System 450 Dolby 5.1 surround system in the theater room/bedroom with 4K Apple TV, and a 4kTV/Apple TV in the master;downstairs bedroom boasts a new 65 inch Samsung TV/4K Apple TV. Most rooms also have DirecTV. Bluettooth enabled. Our kitchen features a huge SubZero fridge/freezer with all of the space you ask for. All appliances including toaster, oven, stovetop, steamer, coffeemaker, microwave available.
The deck features teak lounge chairs, a teak rocker and side table for breakfast with a sea view. The deck is on the beach through the backyard staircase. Gardens in the back on the expansive lot and there is a large dog run with doghouse available for your dogs on the lower back patio! The main bedroom features high ceilings with a skylight to illuminate your mornings, a powered tempurpedic bed with an HD TV with Apple TV. The upstairs beds are California king Tempur-pedic mattresses for your sleeping pleasure with pull out full bed in the couch in the master. The closet offers enough room for those guests that like to overpack :) and large families.
The second bedroom also boasts a California King. The room has a large projection screenDownstairs bedrooms are California king and a luxurious double twin with full baths one with 55 inch HDTV.
Full wash room with Washer and Dryer and iron and ironing board are available for guests. The garage has an empty slot for a car and contains umbrellas, all types of balls for the beach, sand pails and toys, and wet suits. The far right garage contains 6-2 beach bikes, charcoal and supplies for the BBQs (one is a green egg), big wheeled wagon with 4 low sitting beach chairs. The side door has a closet with the boogie boards, surf boards, and skim board.

Guest access

4 boogie boards, 3 surfboards, a skimboard, and 6-7 bikes with helmets and 2 locks. There is also wetsuits, sand toys and shovels, big wheeled wagon to put the 4 beach chairs in to take to the beach. All the BBQ equipment you need is in the garage and a collapsible table is available if you need more room on the lower patio for cooking. The dunes provide plenty of space for all members of the family to enjoy, and Oxnard Shores is famous for being a very spacious beach that feels, at times, like it's your private beach. Volleyballs, basketballs, and soccer balls are also available for use in the beach parks.

The guests will have access to the entire upstairs portion of the house. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs, 2 upstairs, another downstairs bedroom is locked for our personal use and is being renovated. Oxnard only allows us 100 days for short term rentals , so the family uses it when it is not rented and we can add more features!
Downstairs guests have a laundry and enter the house through the side door or garage. The downstairs bedrooms each have own full baths and are guest friendly with a tv on one of the bedrooms and library in the other.

Interaction with guests
We will be available throughout your stay via phone/text. On the kitchen desk, you will find a binder with restaurant recommendations of various price ranges, unique day trips, and a list of our favorite local treats like the farmer's market. We love Oxnard shores and the tight-knit community and dog friendly atmosphere here. With that said, there are plenty of bike paths, local parks and beaches for you to discover as a family or on your own.
We will also provide information about day trips to Santa Barbara and LA and things to do.
Other things to note:
Venture over to the farmer's market on Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.Strawberry Festival every year in May.
Camarillo Airport sponsors Airshow every year. Float Numerous boat trips to visit Islands for a day or overnight backpacking, fishing trips and whale watching. Dolphins and the occasional whale can be seen surfing from the house.

First, please be accurate when making your Reservation!
As we have posted previously we need to know number of adults, number of children including their ages and any special needs. Our house has survived three children of our own but does have several steep stairs. We recommend that you use the side entrance (really the “front” but it faces the thankfully wide “view easement “. All children MUST wear appropriate helmets for bicycling and we provide several mostly adult sizes, so you may need to procure one. Bicycling supplies and helmets are available for rent including family cruisers at the hotel just beyond the park and visible from the street and the Master Bedroom to the Southeast. Both Marinas, one in each direction also have bike rentals and sales.

No street parking and n We easily fit more.

Any pets must be disclosed on making the reservation. Failing that as soon as you know they are coming!
Regulations (and,sadly, experience) limit us to only two dogs. They must be house broken and you are liable for additional cleaning charges if needed for accidents. We have a small dog run with dog house consisting of six foot high chain link 6 x 12 feet long. The upper deck is also fenced and gated so very small dogs can't get loose!
Dogs MUST be on leash at ALL TIMES, when outside.

Use of bicycles and beach toys are at your own risk.

Please lock or keep garage closed when using bicycles, surfboards, wetsuits and other equipment in garage or outside closet beside side door is where surfboards and boogie boards are kept. This is great neighborhood but people are always going to the beach and unguarded and unlocked bicycles and expensive custom surfboards are very tempting. We provide bicycle locks and adult helmets. Helmets are required. If you would like to rent a surrey, chopper, or electric bike, the visible Zachari Dunes hotel is south of the park and offers those amenities.

The house is too difficult to child proof per our insurance, (we have 2 entry ways upstairs that other houses do not) for kids 2 and under that cannot climb stairs and need to be watched constantly we highly recommend finding a house that fits your needs. The only real child proofing are vigilant parents.
We are very dog friendly home and neighborhood with 2 parks close by, we allow 2 dogs that need to be leashed every time you go outside, you may see some unleashed dogs at times, but it is a City of Oxnard requirement to leash them on the beach too.

Front stairs are steep and tile hard so we recommend using the left side door or going through the garage.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE WIRING OR PROGRAMMING OF MUSIC and video systems. You can fry them or deprogram them.
