Located in Asheville, this apartment is in the city centre. Travellers eager for a bit of culture can stop by Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Biltmore Estate and Blue Ridge Parkway Asheville Entrance. Ready for a night out? Consider The Orange Peel and Grey Eagle. Fishing and swimming offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hunting and hiking nearby.
Clean, quick and easy check in and check out! Provided fresh linens, shampoo/conditioner/body wash! We didn’t even have to strip beds or take out trash for checking out (just place trash in trash cans)! Host was friendly, attentive, and quick to reply!
It looks like the pictures. Lots of space for a family. 3 televisions and bedrooms are private. This is a basement apartment. Someone lives above, and they make a lot of noise.
Everything was wonderful! The check-in process was very easy and we had everything we needed for the weekend, including a quiet location and HUGE bedrooms! Perfect spot to relax with friends; I will definitely check this out for future Asheville visits!
The location of this apartment is idea if you want to explore downtown Asheville. The place is also close to the university of Asheville. The owner was extremely responsive to our questions. We enjoyed our two nights stay for a concert /toured around the area.
Great spot with three sleeping options in close proximity to downtown. Clean and cozy with off street parking for two cars. No kitchen, but we were planning to eat out each night, and that situation is identified in the description. Would stay again.
Clean as a pin. Fit our group perfectly. Thank you.

Beautiful and cozy 😊
We had a wonderful stay in Asheville, Chip and Kimberly are great hosts. Their VRBO is extremely comfortable and truly a beautiful place. It is in a great location, easy to get down town. I highly recommend booking this room if you are ever in Asheville, you will not be disappointed 😊

Business trip
I was in Asheville on business. This property is conveniently located near downtown and the arts district without the associated noise and parking issues. Very reasonably priced compared to downtown hotels.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Very close to downtown AVL. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was clean. The check in/out information provided in the VRBO listing was different than the information stated in the manual provided in the apartment. The host referenced downloading an app for unlocking and locking the door but it did not work. When I shared that the app did not work, the host did not provide any assistance. A lock box holding the door key was available but it seemed rather old and damaged by weather perhaps? Dialing in the code was tedious as the dials would not stay in place as we tried to set the code. The apartment is in the basement of the owner’s home. It was comfortable but the owners were loud upstairs moving about their home, especially early on the Sunday morning we checked out.
The property is close to grocery and fast food restaurants. It’s convenient to Asheville attractions. The interior is very nicely updated and decorated. It’s perfect for 1-2 people. For more than 2, additional seating would be nice. Parking just outside the unit was a definite perk!
Perfect basement apartment in a neighborhood not far from anything. King beds! Cute kitchenette, tvs in every room. Private driveway. The only note for those considering is the dehumidifiers and AC units make a lot of noise. We don’t mind cause we are used to using white noise at night, but someone who is used to quiet would not like it.Would stay again!
The apartment is super cute! It’s a basement apartment of a home. But totally private!!! It was perfect for my husband and I. Lovely decor and a cute kitchenette. (No stove, but there a microwave, toaster oven and mini fridge.) More than adequate. Located in a quiet older neighborhood that is very convenient to downtown. (Like 4 minutes!!) There’s a Trader Joe’s and a Whole food Market fast food just a couple of blocks away. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again!

Minutes away from DT Asheville & SO clean!!
This apartment was so beautiful and clean and had such a nice charm. We were in town for my sister’s bachelorette weekend and the owners went above & beyond and had a gift waiting for my sister. The king bed was so comfortable. There was great space for us 4 ladies. The shower was like an oasis spa. The bathroom was large enough to not feel cramped. There was SO much space in the bedroom and living room was a good size. There were plenty of dishes/cups/silverware. And the keurig and snacks provided was a very nice touch. We will be visiting Asheville again and will for sure be back to this apartment again and again.
Oh, and the apartment is located about 6 mins from DT Asheville, but I wouldn’t recommend walking to downtown. There is a parking deck in the DT area, and the most we ever paid at the parking deck was $6. So, overall this apartment is beautiful, convenient and in a quiet area.

Not as expected
Generally a good stay, however there were a couple of surprises. Very clean and new, spacious bedrooms and nice bathroom. Good coffee and nice snacks. However, the neighborhood was not what we expected. Just a little rundown. Not unsafe. The bigger problem was the lack of sitting space in the living / kitchen area. The apartment will sleep 4 adults, but only 2 can sit at the table or on the sofa. There were 3 adults in our party so one stood at mealtimes, and the lack of seating in the living area meant conversation was short. A premium is charged for more than 2 guests, so you would expect better accommodation for the third or fourth guests. There is enough space, but it has not been laid out well for a 2 bedroom apartment.

Catherine thanks so much for the feedback. Yes the neighborhood is very eclectic. As many neighborhoods are in Asheville are I think that is what gives Asheville its old world charm.
We don't advertise the kitchenette as space for more than 2. In the pictures we have posted it is of the the dinette table with two chairs. I did ask the onsite host to measure the area to see if we added a table to seat 4 would be feasible as we value your feedback. Thanks so much for allowing us to host your visit to Asheville! Be on the look out for potential updates!!
Best regards
This property is located in a convenient area in relation to downtown. The space was very clean and had air purifiers in the unit to ensure cleanliness during COVID.
During our stay we really struggled with regulating the temperature in the unit. In the back “master” bedroom the air unit which is connected to the window kept falling off and pushing the hot air back into the unit. In the front bedroom our friends were able to cool off the room but in the middle of the night the unit switched to heat and again made the temperature uncomfortable.
The inside of the place was quite nice and the owner provided little snack and extra towels. Lots of personal touches. I think the exterior could have been cleaned up a bit. There’s also a camera that is watching you come and go, likely for safety but good to note.
As for check in we were encouraged to download and app but the app wasn’t linked to our listing. I messaged the owner about this and received little to no guidance on how to fix this issue. Ended up just having to use the lock box and key.
I think we did over pay for this unit but it’s the time of year we visited, during the fall the pricing in the Asheville area tends to be high. I would likely not return to this unit but I could get a hotel for similar pricing.

Thanks so much for the feedback on the heating we will definitely take look and make immediate updates.
As for the check-in instructions we automatically include the lockbox code and let you know if you have any issues downloading the app or using the August app to just use the lock box. This gives guests two options. I even sent you a additional invite however some users don't have the proper phone or coverage to use the app. So again that is why we leave the physical keys so guests don't experience any delays in getting into the property.
I apologize as you have been the first guest to mention that two options are not better than one, but we will take your feedback into consideration.
Best regards,
Danielle
