The location of this apartment is idea if you want to explore downtown Asheville. The place is also close to the university of Asheville. The owner was extremely responsive to our questions. We enjoyed our two nights stay for a concert /toured around the area.
Great spot with three sleeping options in close proximity to downtown. Clean and cozy with off street parking for two cars. No kitchen, but we were planning to eat out each night, and that situation is identified in the description. Would stay again.
Clean as a pin. Fit our group perfectly. Thank you.

Beautiful and cozy 😊
We had a wonderful stay in Asheville, Chip and Kimberly are great hosts. Their VRBO is extremely comfortable and truly a beautiful place. It is in a great location, easy to get down town. I highly recommend booking this room if you are ever in Asheville, you will not be disappointed 😊
Perfect basement apartment in a neighborhood not far from anything. King beds! Cute kitchenette, tvs in every room. Private driveway. The only note for those considering is the dehumidifiers and AC units make a lot of noise. We don’t mind cause we are used to using white noise at night, but someone who is used to quiet would not like it.Would stay again!
The property is close to grocery and fast food restaurants. It’s convenient to Asheville attractions. The interior is very nicely updated and decorated. It’s perfect for 1-2 people. For more than 2, additional seating would be nice. Parking just outside the unit was a definite perk!
The apartment is super cute! It’s a basement apartment of a home. But totally private!!! It was perfect for my husband and I. Lovely decor and a cute kitchenette. (No stove, but there a microwave, toaster oven and mini fridge.) More than adequate. Located in a quiet older neighborhood that is very convenient to downtown. (Like 4 minutes!!) There’s a Trader Joe’s and a Whole food Market fast food just a couple of blocks away. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again!
This property is located in a convenient area in relation to downtown. The space was very clean and had air purifiers in the unit to ensure cleanliness during COVID.
During our stay we really struggled with regulating the temperature in the unit. In the back “master” bedroom the air unit which is connected to the window kept falling off and pushing the hot air back into the unit. In the front bedroom our friends were able to cool off the room but in the middle of the night the unit switched to heat and again made the temperature uncomfortable.
The inside of the place was quite nice and the owner provided little snack and extra towels. Lots of personal touches. I think the exterior could have been cleaned up a bit. There’s also a camera that is watching you come and go, likely for safety but good to note.
As for check in we were encouraged to download and app but the app wasn’t linked to our listing. I messaged the owner about this and received little to no guidance on how to fix this issue. Ended up just having to use the lock box and key.
I think we did over pay for this unit but it’s the time of year we visited, during the fall the pricing in the Asheville area tends to be high. I would likely not return to this unit but I could get a hotel for similar pricing.
This rental was perfect for our visit to Asheville. It was a very short drive to many locations including downtown Asheville and hiking trails. The room was very clean and tidy and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
Easy to check in and very clean. Good location for us to venture to Biltmore and grove park inn as well as downtown. Close enough to pop back for a rest between activities.
Lovely and comfortable accommodations for our party of three. The home is conveniently located for a short ride to downtown and nice for daytime walking or running.
The area is obviously in the progress of revitalization with many homes updated and maintained while others have yet to be tackled. My mother, a young 87 year old, and I very much enjoyed walking the area during the day. We felt quite safe and found the homes, trees, yards, and people quite interesting and entertaining. Many neighbors were out and about and all were very friendly. The residents seem to be young and energetic as is typical of an area being revitalized. If I were younger, I’d consider living here.
The apartment is creatively appointed and well done. Money was spent on important things like bedding and bathrooms and less on seating and conversation areas. The “kitchen,” as advertised, is more of a wet bar and coffee station with a toaster, microwave, and small frig, which was perfect for us. even though this is a daylight basement apartment, it does not feel like it is. (Love the ingenious lighted faux windows.)
It did not seem damp and the temperature was good. There are several dehumidifiers and air conditioners/heaters that pop on and off to maintain the air quality. For this reason, I would not recommend these accommodations for light sleepers.
The hosts made themselves readily available through messaging and I felt, had we needed more attention, they would have provided it.
I do recommend this apartment and would stay here again. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

I do have a few friendly suggestions for the hosts to consider during their next capital infusion. The front bedroom needs seating and somewhere to place another suitcase and personal items by the french doors. We would have enjoyed some comfortable seating outside the french doors. Though space is obviously at a premium, a couple of additional chairs are needed in the din to accommodate 4 guests.
Well done and good luck in the future.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Not as expected
Generally a good stay, however there were a couple of surprises. Very clean and new, spacious bedrooms and nice bathroom. Good coffee and nice snacks. However, the neighborhood was not what we expected. Just a little rundown. Not unsafe. The bigger problem was the lack of sitting space in the living / kitchen area. The apartment will sleep 4 adults, but only 2 can sit at the table or on the sofa. There were 3 adults in our party so one stood at mealtimes, and the lack of seating in the living area meant conversation was short. A premium is charged for more than 2 guests, so you would expect better accommodation for the third or fourth guests. There is enough space, but it has not been laid out well for a 2 bedroom apartment.
Everything was perfect! Check in was easy, communication was great, and everything was clean, comfortable, and central to downtown! Will certainly stay again!
We enjoyed the space a lot, especially the beds & large shower! The back room was very private and good for our kidless guests. The front room opened into the living space which was great for us having kids. I highly recommend blackout curtains in front room. It got light very, very early and caused kids to wake up, this would be the main reason why we wouldn't return in the future.

Cute spot
This place was so cute, and CLEAN! We had an issue right away when we checked in re: one of the bedrooms having water damage, however, that was quickly resolved and we just stayed in the other bedroom. This place is very homey and a nice relaxing spot at the end of a busy day. If we are back, we will DEFINITELY stay here again

Business trip
I was in Asheville on business. This property is conveniently located near downtown and the arts district without the associated noise and parking issues. Very reasonably priced compared to downtown hotels.

Accomadating and comfortable
The owners checked with us everyday to make sure we had what we needed. The accomadations were clean and looked new. Plenty of room for the two of us staying there. It was centrally located to get to either downtown or to Biltmore. We could here the people upstairs walking and moving things around.
