About the host

Our family lives not far away in Bangor and recently purchased this, the camp of our dreams and one that's been rented and beloved for nearly 20 years previously on VRBO. We've begun some improvements- including a new roof and flooring, new lighting and wiring, new walls, a new deck and dock, fresh paint and new amenities. We look forward to hosting with VRBO!

Why they chose this property

We love Toddy Pond and have been visiting friends there for years. It's beautiful and serene, and it's not too deep- so the water gets warm in summer and is lots of fun for swimming or kayaking around. Fishing at Toddy Pond is another way to relax - and the fish caught makes a delicious dinner! It's also convenient for visiting other beautiful parts of coastal Maine - such as the Blue Hill and Penobscot Bay and Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island. And it isn't far from Bangor - whether you live there (as we do) or you're driving from I95 or flying in to Bangor airport - or traveling to the city on a rainy day for some shopping, restaurants, and museums.

What makes this property unique

This property is unique in the way it sits on the lake with water right beneath the windows, and is surrounded by water due to the brook that borders the property as it feeds into the lake. With the brook as a natural boundary, the property also is at the very end of the road. Your sense of privacy and seclusion enhance the feeling of peace that emanates from the natural beauty of the lake and trees.
